A few weeks ago while talking to my book keeper (I operate an auto body shop) we managed to get around to talking about the "investment" in Dinar, this usually happens when I am in there, and the subject came up about just how many people in the US hold over 1,000,000 Dinar and how many mufti-millionairs a RV would create. Surprisingly he is not down on this investment like it seems most financial professionals are but he sees it more as a long term investment in Iraqi growth and holds little hope for a sudden and large RV (he will be the first to tell you he is not a currency trade expert and his opinion is just that, an opinion). That is what the discussion was about, considering how many people hold Dinar in large amounts and untold numbers holding smaller amounts plus what other countries might hold just how is all this Dinar supposed to be cashed in if it comes to a straight up RV? Who supplies all those billions of dollars? I am not trying to state anything or make any kind of point rather I am asking if anyone has run across any real statistics on these numbers because IMO it could have a profound effect on the Iraqi decision of whether to RD or not. I firmly believe that the Dinar is going to increase in value even if it RDs first, we may not get rich if that happens but at least our investment might be worth it, I am in until the end regardless.
I would have to disagree that "most financial professionals are in on the investment" I can almost gurantee if polled more would say we are idiots than would say they are also invested.

IMO I wouldn't waste the Time, Effort , or the Money on the Dong. IMO you have a better chance of Jesus comming back before the Dong does anything,but this is JMO

Not knocking u bud im hoping for the rv on both currencies but it always strikees me as finny when people who r invested in dinar which in my opinion is a longshot risky speculative thing act like us dong lovers are crazy

I have picked up small amounts of dong several times from a number of diff sellers. I used to buy from 5/3 til they stopped then chase but they wont get it for me anymore. Tried ebay a few times but people take too long to ship. As for sites ive bought from dinartrade getdong and dong2u. Happy with everyone I have bought from altho I liked the banks pricing better obviously. I have a ad up in the claasifieds section now hoping to pick a lil more up with less of a markup than I been paying

I know this is an old thread but man was I pissed, had been watching it for a while wound up buying at $6.00, next day or day and a half shot up to $8.80 I was dumb and didn't sell rode it back down adn only wound up making an 0.80 cent profit per share or something there about, very disapointed.
Normallly my mistake is selling too quickly for example TCK i bought at like $3 and sold at $6 and it wound up getting up in the mid $40 range in the short term, this time i decided to hold on and missed out on a nice little comup.

Could not be a better time. I am just north of Milwaukee and want to get rid of a few of mine to pay off some school debt. I would like to get rid of 1 million. They are all 25k noted uncirculated, I bought fro Ali @ dinartrade a couple years ago. I would prefer not to drive the whole way, maybne meet in Kenosha area if possible. Up until I saw your post I was just going to say I bet it's their online system is down for maintenance as banks are not going to close down because a Dinar RV. I just had my bank do the same thing the other day. This is how third party stories always are like the game telephone things get lost in translation and they are totally unreliable. How many times have we all heard RV is happening this Wednesday my uncles neighbors friend is a contractor in iraq and knows a guy who...well you get the point.

He has absolutely no control over another sovereign country's money. Neither does our congress or senate.
Heck, those entities don't even have control over our money.
Good point I was just about to say the same thing, Obama cannot decide when an rv will happen if one will happen.
Also, I heard Obama isn't pulling the troops out but that Iraq told us they want us out so not sure how much pull he would have with them even if he wanted an RV as it seems there is some tensions.
I'll be curious to see what happens when we pull out. I watched an interesting documentary called the baker boys where the troops in iraq and afghanistan were literally walking around with bundles of 30k-50k just handing them out to tribal leaders and villagers as a please dont kill us or each other bribe type deal.
What happens when we leave? One of two things I think. The iraqi government, people, etc step up to the place and get their stuff together or the whole country falls into a crazy civil war and backwards ass country it always has been. My personal opinon 60/40 they will step up.

are you talking about doing this before or after the Revalue....
i know you can claim up to a certain amount when you travel.....but as far as carrying anything outside of that or exceed the amount then could land you in jail....

and why wouldnt you just exchange them at the banks....cant you just request an exchange for notes at the bank?
I don't believe there is anything illegal about travelign in or out of the country with over 10k or equivalent its just that you have to declare it.

Just wondering if any honest investors out here were still slowly adding to their dinar connection. I have cash sitting around in my brokerage account that I have just been playing around with, and I often wonder if my money would be better spent investing in more dinar instead of the stock market, just wondering what others out there were doing.
Stock market is doing nothing for me at the moment so I've been putting less into mys scottrade and putting more money into copper and dong but was looking to pick up another million maybe two but thats about it for me.

Just throwing this out there real quick. I don't have 1,500 posts to back up my credibility or whatever, but here's what happened anyway. A friend of mine flew into town last week. I met him a couple years ago before he joined the army, and since then he's been to Iraq once or twice. He has no idea I'm invested in the Dinar, and I'd planned on bringing it up later in the night, but he brought it up first, after a few beers. My eyes definitely lit up when he brought up the Dinar. He said he's invested in it, and he views it as more of a long term investment rather than a get rich quick scenario. That's it. This guy is no financial genius, I just thought it was cool that he went there, heard of the investment and got onboard, with somewhat first hand knowledge of Iraq (more than me anyway). A little encouraging, a little not, that's it.
I have the exact same outlook as your friend unfortunately everyone calls me an idiot and tells me to go away when I merely suggest that becomming a millionaire overnight off a $1000 investment is not something that is 100% sure to happen within the next year or two.

Can someone please move this post to the appropriate spot?
I'm new to the boards so apologize if I'm wrong but how is the penny stock section of the forum not the correct spot for penny stocks?
Is it because CLWR is $1.93, most people consider stocks sub $3 or $4 to still be penny stocks. Also SPKL is only 0.08 cents. I can't see how thi isn't an appropriate to post penny stocks in the penny stock section?
It's a sandwhich shop out of Denver. A buddy of mine who's a financial advisor turned me onto it a long time ago and I've played the swings it has had. They were expanding pretty rapidly for such a small business but the problem I think was they were expanding right as the economy took a dump so hard to get financing and less people willing to pay panera type prices for sandwhiches when you have subway slinging $5 foot longs.
We recently had a few stores come to Chicago, it's delicious and with each sandwhich you get pickles that are actually spiced lol pretty good. Definately tasty stuff, quality ingredients and something different than the rest of the sandwich shops

It's almost comical how cult like many dinar speculators are. I'm not saying it's a bad investment, I'm holidng it and I still believe in it. I do however think many people have unrealistic expectations. Also no need to get nasty, I simply stated my opinion and how I think it will affect me. Can you point to anywehre in my comment where I tried to tell you what to do with your money?
Since you want to take it there though my silver investment has already made me a 40% profit in a relatively short amount of time, how much have you made off your dinar? I've been sitting on mine almost since it was issued and its maybe up a few hundred bucks.

lol so just because I havn't spent my time pouring over a messageboard means I havn't been holding. What drives me crazy is that people get so pissed if you even suggest they are not going to be a multi millionaire over a thousand dollar investment.
Can you name me any other investment in history taht has had that kind of return? Please don't say Kuwaiti either because it was several different currencies in between that time period its not one currency that rv'd and overnight people made millions.
You guys are completely missing the point that I said I think it's a good investment, I think money can be made, I think majority of people have WAY overly optimistic expectations. Can nobody agree that maybe it will pay out but not to the tune of 4000%?
Most of the people are without electricity 24 hours a day and umemployment is very high. I doubt as many as you think has $1000 in savings. I will admit my grandparents did say if it is too good to be true it probably isn't. But maybe that is why they aren't rich. Although I don't believe in God it reminds me of a good joke. A guy is sitting on the roof of his house as there is a major flood in his town. A guy in a boat comes by and offers him a ride. No thanks God will provide. A bit later a helicopter hovers overhead and drops a rope ladder down. Grab the rope and climb onboard hells the crew member. No thanks God will provide. Later that night the house is swept away and he dies. At the pearly gates he says to St Peter, how could God let me down? We sent a boat and a helicopter for ya, what more do you want. In other words, when opportunity presents itself you must grab that opportunity. Many of us believe this is our opportunity.
Now I had better get lots of pluses for a God story.
I have found conflicting info on this but average income is somewhere between $2500 and $4,000 equivalent. It's not hard to imagine that amongst an extended family tehy would have the equivalent of say $800 in savings amonst them or the equivalent of a million dinars. So an rv happens and all the sudden a huge percentage of a population that is poor and living without power are going to be driving mercedes and pooping into gold toilets instead of holes in the ground?

Not just with this forum but with any forum people ask a question and often it seems like they are just trying to get others to say or back up what they have in their mind and are set on believeing anyways.
Why are people who doubt we will become millionaires still on this site. I'm interested in the dinar as well as other currencies. I am invested in the dinar and have a vested interest in keeping up on it. I do not believe an RV will happen and make this investment turn into a 100,000% profit overnight, I think I may be able to triple my money in the short to mid term though.
