I am watching Fox News and they just announced a possible " Multi-Billion Dollar" American Bank bailout. They showed a video clip of Bernanke and others seemingly leaving a meeting. Announcement was a teaser for up-coming report. This was announced shortly after Obama speach about troop pullout. I don't post much, so I hope this MIGHT be related to MAYBE an RV. Just hoping and only an opinion.

Delta, I too feel your pain.

My job is commision only, and a few years ago, was doing really well.

I've since lost both houses, my truck, my harley, and then eventually my marriage.

With the economy tanking, my income is now about 1/3 of what it once was.

And with paying child support and alimony, there isn't much left either.

One pompas reply here on DV was to get another job.

But with me already working 55-64 hours a week, and the job market the way it is, that ain't happening.

I've always felt that the Dinar would be a blessing.

So much so, that I've even planned to share the blessing with the ex.

She has no legal ties, as I did not come into this investment until after the divorce.

I know most of us here will do the right thing, if suddenly becoming financially wealthy.

That we would share the blessing with friends, family, and charity, as they struggle too.

I don't know why I'm sharing this, but Delta your not alone my brother.

I too have lost real estate, a couple vehicles, and have been through bankruptcy. I have a pretty decent truck driving job and my wife brings in some money. However, at 56yo, I never dreamed I would still be living check to check. The dinar, for us, is our best hope for a miracle. I only hope the folks that come on this site and talk about RD'ing read these stories and have some compassion. If anything, just keep your opinions to yourselves. I, for one, am aware of all the possibilities, but choose to believe in miracles.

This has been posted before, but to my knowledge, I'm not aware of a statement ever being made that differentiates between the removal of the three zeros and raising the value as this one:

"Which is confirmed by the Rapporteur of the Committee of Finance of the House of Representatives Rep. Najiba which called for the need for economic reforms to increase the value of the Iraqi currency, instead of deleting the zeros"

Can they be one and the same? Removing the zeros and raising the value?

I think so....I feel the act of an Rv would, in itself, remove the three zeros....the RD being the end result, rather than the first step. They are two sides of the same coin.

This was posted a few days ago but alotta of you passed it by cause of the date I would assume..........but this article says in plain english what the intentions of the CBI are when they refer to deleting/raising/removing the 3 zeros is referring to.............NOT removing the 3 zeros from the notes BUT REMOVING THE 3 zero currency from circulation!

Not sure why so many want to still arue and debate the LOP theory...it makes no sense at all...........if you believe it will LOP then just SELL already................

Everyone here understands what a LOP/RD before RV mean by now.....even the NEWBIES!

The dinar will RV before it RDs.......both currencies will coexsist for a period of time.........................but until then no one is gonna tell you thats what they do, however this article should explain to us all what they are referring to.

BAGHDAD -- The Iraqi Central Bank is planning to redenominate the national currency in an effort to ease transactions and allow people to carry less paper money, RFE/RL's Radio Free Iraq (RFI) reports.

Mudhhir Muhammad Salih, a member of a Central Bank advisory panel, told RFI that a plan has been made to remove three zeros from the currency and phase out the current banknotes late this year.

Salih said by the end of 2010 the new banknotes will be fully introduced while the old banknotes will be gradually removed from circulation. He did not specify when the new notes would be issued.

Both will be legal tender in Iraq until the old notes are completely withdrawn.

Iraqi officials have had a long-running plan to redenominate the Iraqi dinar. In 2006, the Finance Ministry recommended to the Central Bank that it carry out such a plan.

Salih pointed out that banks are having a hard time accepting cash savings and deposits, but by dropping the zeros it will make it easier for both the banks to deal with their customers and for the general public to carry money. He said some 80 percent of Iraq's money supply is cash in circulation.

Salih added that in 1990 the value of banknotes in circulation was about 25 billion Iraqi dinars but is currently some 25 trillion dinars.

Economic analyst Hilal al-Tahhan told RFI that the bank's move is overdue. He said he expects the currency change to go smoothly because of the decision to allow both the old and new banknotes to coexist, leading to less turbulence in the economy.

The current exchange rate is 1,167 Iraqi dinars to the U.S. dollar.

We all forget things very easily and very fast and although it is an old article t explains the process which will take place............GO RV!!! Then RD/LOP all you want......of course it has to RD people but that wont happen until after the RV!!

Ok, here are my humble thoughts about RD/RV. I think of them as two sides of the same coin. Kind of like Yin and Yang, you can't have one without the other. What I mean is, would the act of RV'ing, in itself, remove, (raise, delete) the three zeros? Could'nt the R/D be the end result rather than a first step. Trying to think positive....

I have dog that had puppies, so I'm selling her pups this weekend to get a million.She wasn't meant to have pups,I was going to have her spayed,but, I think GOD step in and help.I didn't know how I was going to get more Dinars but GOD answer my payers. So if you want a yorkie pup I'll give one for a million Dinars.LOL LOL !!!

I didn't listen to my friend the first time, when she told me.Then, few months later she told me again,but,this time, it bug the crap out of me and I bought some.The frist time I was told by my friend, I think GOD said your not ready yet to buy them .When, I did buy them, I was ready.I know one thing I'm grateful to be here, in this time and place.GO RV BABY!!!!!

Thanks...I initially bought 100,000IQD, then a few weeks later bought the rest. I am tempted to buy more, but don't feel led....I am content with what I have. Several family members, including three of my oldest children are also invested more heavily.

Thanks....I am a regional truck driver, and in my down time,I sit in my sleeper and fire up my laptop. Each time, I imagine I will come here to DV and see the news that "it" has happened. Some day soon, I hope. I've been thinking about the RD/RV thing and feel they are two sides of the same coin. What I mean is, wouldn't an RV effectively remove the zeros? Kinda Yin and Yang, can't have one without the other.

Hi, everyone...

This is my first post. I have been invested in the IQD for a few months, and am the proud owner of a whopping ( 24)-25k notes totalling 600,000IQD.

A few months ago, I was feeling a little overwhelmed financially, and in a short prayer, cried out "God,I need a break!" Within an hour, I got a phone call..out of the blue..from my son-in-law.

The reason for his call was to tell me about an investment opportunity, the Iraqi Dinar.

Since then, I have been soaking in all the information I can about Iraq and the IQD.

I would like to thank all the folks who spend time providing all the news and information I have read here on DV. For the record, I believe we will all be blessed with this investment.
