This goes on all the time in Canada and the USA.
Killings happen everywhere true, and lots of domestic violence. But on a good note, here we do not get to call it "Honor Killings" and get away with it... there are consequences here (for the most part). JMO ....

I cant imagine being a women living in Iraq. It is their way of life, I understand that but it is so sad to see how under valued the women are. I have often told my husband that I am so grateful to be living in America today.... We have so many freedoms so many things to make our lives easier and more comfortable. As messed up as things are here at times, I am always glad that I am here not there.......

Wow that is crazy! I do hope they fight it and win. We have had them at our home, youth nights at our home, baptisms in our pool....but my neighbors are always told in advance that we will have a big group of people here. They are all supportive! If it is not disrupting the neighborhood than why the heck would the neighbor complain? Maybe because they didn't get an invite? Hmmm, I do not like nosy mean spirited neighbors

In Lake Palestine , someone caught a 20 lb catfish that had ticks on it!
But just this week, in Bryan , a fire hydrant was seen bribing a dog.
It's so dry in Texas that the Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling,
The Methodists are using wet-wipes,
The Presbyterians are giving out rain-checks,
And the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water.
Now THAT's Dry!

The damn thing didn't RV. I will gladdy take the beating from those that bash. I have tried to apply simple reason to a complex problem and it simply put, falls short.
I am sure some of you will recall my hopeful prediction. I must say that after attempt to keep up this past month I am tired, more tired than I can ever remember. I have willed this thing to RV, prayed and prayed it would RV. I have begged it to RV and finally rationalized it via a theory or two and a hopeful prediction.
I now realize I really and truly do not know when this thing is going to RV nor do I have any idea what the rate is going to be. What I have learned is that I have received a better education from this site in six months than I have ever received in my life regarding investment and finance. I am sorry this didn't RV folks. I truly wanted to see it happen and have an opportunity to meet some of you and say thanks in person. You see for me wealth is simply the ability to go and meet people from other parts of the the Country and World that you wouldn't have been able to reach without the funds. My time is growing short and it is time for me to back away from this and spend time with my family that are here with me, for those of my family members that I met on this site, I am so glad we could meet. My life has been richer and fuller, actually, I have become a better person for knowing you. I will miss you. Hug your Children and all your love ones, Tell them you love them and cherish each and every moment you have here with them. Wealth in the end has nothing to do with money. You can measure your wealth by simply looking around you. Who is there? You know the deal, dance like no ones watching, sing like no ones listening and LOVE like theres no tomorrow, as there may not be......
I will check in from time to time as I can. Until then, I am preparing for another journey,

My 11 yr old son is having surgery Friday morning to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. It's not a major surgery, they say it will only take 15 mintes or so, but I am terrified. If you don't mind, throw a prayer up for my baby, Dylan. Thanks.
It is so scary to be a parent sometimes. My heart goes out to you and prayers are going up for you and your Dylan (I have a Dylan too!) Praying for peace and comfort and that it will go by really fast and smooth

Why don't you move all of Okies B.S. to the off-topic forum or start an entertainment forum for the known fake and disproven guru's???? Instead of letting it be mixed up together with Bondlady's & Adam's chats etc.. Or even those in the rumor forum?
Because they are rumors re the dinar, so it is appropriate that they go to the rumor section... Sooner or later one of those rumors might become reality.... JMO.....

Baghdad, Sep. 8 (AKnews) - Iraq has been dubbed the most suitable foreign investment attraction after the Gulf countries in the Middle East, an international organization said Thursday.
Iraq has been able to attract what is worth US$6 billion of foreign investment this year in housing and other infrastructure projects. Analysts say that any unrest in the Arab region serves the interest of Iraq in terms of investments.
Ilham al-Baghdadi, coordinator for the British T.V.D organization in Baghdad told AKnews that Iraq is the best in the region after the Gulf countries despite the "legal and bureaucratic obstacles"
Reports show that ownership of land has been the main deterrence for global investment firms from entering Iraq.
The organization is working in Baghdad since July 2009 as it coordinates between the local investment committee and global investment firms. The organization maintains a specialized center for investment studies in the region.
Baghdadi said that the reports indicate that Iraq has 5,000 investment opportunities in the public and private sectors with more than 230 foreign companies working in the country.
