  1. Don't usually respond to posts, but I wish our President would worry a little more about "protection" for our troops and less about "protection" for co-ed college girls. Hopefully, the media won't be able to stonewall on Libya much longer. I never thought I would see the day when the state was able to control the media. It's frightening.

On the 51% to 36% report today by Rasmussen, those are the early voting results in Ohio.

  2. The truth is out there if you just look for instance PER THE US TREASURY here is the TRUE breakdown of the Percentage(%) of increase in Public Debt by our Presidents from Reagan To Obama:

Ronald Reagan- 1/1981-1/1989 Total Public Debt Increase - 189%

    G W Bush - 1/1989- 1/ 1993 Total Public Debt Increase - 55%

Bill Clinton- 1/1993- 1/2001 Total Public Debt Increase - 37%

    George Bush Jr. - 1/ 2001 - 2/2009 Total Public Debt Increase - 115%

    Barack Obama - 1/2009 - 4/2011 Total Public Debt Increase - 16%

So you want to win one for the Gipper I can see why we are in the position we are today, you guys say numbers don't lie well here you go and don't take my word for it do the research yourself, and stop believing all this hocus pocus you're being fed and get the truth, might hurt a little though.

Not sure where your info comes from since you didn't provide a link, but you might want to check this out if you want the true numbers.

  3. The highly anticipated “Increase Diversity Bake Sale” organized by U.C. Berkeley College Republicans finally took place on Tuesday — and with explosive results.

I'm surprised to see that there is a young Republicans group at Berkeley--maybe there is hope for our country!

  4. I am about as far to the left as any one person can be...Not just because i'm educated, have a good job, don't live in a trailerpark in the south and actually care about my fellow man, but because i believe this country was built BY the people FOR the people and the corporations and the uber-rich are a VERY small percentage of 'the people'....But to get back on point...

Even i won't be voting for Obama in 2012

Hopefully, your “education” and “good job” are not in economics or finance if you think Obama’s ideas will work.

  5. A newlywed couple wanted to join the church. The preacher told them that they would be happy to have them, but there were a few rules they had to abide by before joining. Because the church wanted new members to focus on their spiritual life before making such an important decision, the church required that they forget about “worldly” things for a period of six weeks before joining. This included all types of entertainment and definitely no sexual relations for the six-week period. The couple protested and reminded the preacher that they were NEWLYWEDS, and six weeks would be an eternity. The preacher insisted that was the rule and the couple finally agreed. Two weeks later, the young man went to see the preacher and confessed that they really tried to abide by the No Sex rule, but the night before they had given in and had sex. The young man said that they didn’t intend to, but his wife dropped a can of corn on the floor and when she bent over to pick it up, he lost control and they made love right there in the middle of the floor. The preacher shook his head and told the young man that he was sorry but they wouldn’t be allowed in church any longer. The newlywed said he completely understood—that last night, the manager of the grocery store told them they weren’t allowed in there either.

  6. Should Americans Boycott Chinese Products

I've stopped buying anything made in China. Once I started reading the labels, I was surprised at how many things were made there, and it made shopping a little difficult. Imagine if millions of Americans were willing to boycott Chinese products! We are China's biggest customer, and if we decided not to buy, it would put a big dent in their economy. They would have to raise the value of their currency and many American corporations would stop moving their production over there. Our troops are fighting and dying to save this country, so the least we can do is be willing to pay a little more for items that are made here. As long as we are looking to save a few dollars instead of supporting our country, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Are Americans too timid to boycott products from Mainland China? I think not! Americans are reeling from economic disaster and the Chinese are scolding us like middle-school children.

America is the largest market for Chinese Products. In short, we are their biggest marks. People have told me that if Americans stopped buying Chinese products that Wal-Mart would come to a grinding halt. That’s not true, but they would have to reassess how they do business and perhaps, just perhaps, if Americans would stick to their guns on this issue, America might gain back some self-respect and also some world-respect.

C’mon America, freedom always comes at a price. It’s not free. Our forefathers paid the price for our right to have life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the least we can do is boycott products. It’s our turn to step up to the plate and take a swing.

The only language the Chinese will understand is a good kick to the rear-end, mainly right where the wallet lies.

When I went to Wal-mart yesterday, I went to buy some clothing products and when they were labeled, “made in China” I put them back on the shelve and bought some that were made here in the USA and other countries. IT’S A START. I WON’T BUY FROM THEM ANY LONGER!!

  7. sorry utube freezes my computer --short version please-send cliff some notes

    thanks

    capt cliff

captcliff--what browser are you using? Some versions of Explorer are not compatible with youtube. If you are using Explorer, try downloading Firefox (www.mozilla.com/en-US)--I like it much better--fewer problems than Explorer

  8. haha doesn't it seem that most rumors come from "newbies?" Its almost like they create a member name, then create a story...then watch the havoc they create.

He's been a member for over a year and a half and has made seven posts--doesn't seem to me to be someone who jumps on the site to create havoc. Didn't your mom ever tell you if you can't contribute something worthwhile, just keep your mouth shut? Maybe you should quit doing flips and landing on your head??

  9. I don't have a lot to add, but joining VIP and reading all of the posts there really made me think about what I am going to do post-RV. Adam says he has many experts lined up to advise us, and I believe he does. But, let's just SAY, he doesn't. Even if he disappears after the RV, I have still gotten more than my money's worth from the information posted and the ideas it has given me. Before VIP, I would have probably cashed in with Dinar Trade (he still existed before I joined VIP) or a bank, paid my taxes, and invested the rest in the same old, same old, products our financial adviser has suggested over the years. Actually, we've already moved some money around because VIP made us look at things differently! My suggestion would be to join for 3 months--like someone said, it's less than you spend on dinner out--and decide if you want to continue your membership.

  11. As a student of psychology I have found one truth to be true. You attack that which threatens you. I sit and watch the liberals attack Palin without mercy. They call her dumb, stupid, and inexperienced. Yet they are relentless. All I know is that they are terrified of her for some reason. You only attack that which threatens you.

AH...that explains the VICIOUS ATTACKS on Obama that are posted in here daily.......:P

I admit it! I do feel threatened by and terrified of Obama, so I guess it's ok to post VICIOUS ATTACKS.

  12. Wolfman--EXCELLENT JOB!

Jac--I just started reading a new book--Primetime Propaganda:The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV. It's interesting how the far left label those of us who are rebelling against the propaganda we have been fed all our lives as "sheeple." Compare the millions of Americans who are willing to stand up and change the direction our country is going to those who want to "follow" the easy path to socialism where personal responsibility no longer exists. I ask them, "Who are the sheeple?" Emerson's Self Reliance might be a good read for them.

  13. NOW NOW before some people get their panties in a bunch, How would it be if Mr Edwards would have been President and hes doing things like this. Dont want to upset anyone but heres an example of our polititions at work in stead of Mr Obama in the spot lite.. Yeah we all know that a lot of people hate Obama for almost the same reason, but do we spread tyhat love around to all of them. This guy ran twice for President, imagine if he would have won and he has a pregnant mistress and the media found out just like now......... Mods if i posted in wrong forum please move to correct one .... THANKS

The media would have protected him just like they did Bill Clinton...remember Bill's famous line, "Well, it depends on what your definition of "is" is.

    The Associated Press.

An Iraqi spokesman says $1.5 million worth of assets belonging to Iraq's national airline have been frozen in Jordan.

Authorities there were acting on a legal request from Kuwait, which is seeking reparations from Iraq in a dispute dating back to the 1990 invasion in the Gulf War. Kuwait accuses Iraq of stealing 10 airplanes and millions of dollars in equipment and spare parts.

An attorney for Kuwait Airlines Corp. says Jordanian courts are investigating whether the Iraqi airline has more money located in Jordan.

The legal action is a first step to try to claim at least $130 million in assets that Iraqi Airways reported in Jordan as recently as last year.

Iraqi Transportation Ministry spokesman Karim al-Nouri says Baghdad will ask Jordan's courts to unfreeze its assets Sunday.

  16. You have to understand that aya's whole purpose here is to get folks riled up. He delights in angering people.

I have read his comments to other board members on their profile pages and he clearly states that he derives pleasure from from your response amd making folks irritated.

So there is no point in even addressing any of his comments...waste of time. He just wants "four more years"....not gonna happen.

When I see certain names like Ayahuasca, I simply skip the post. He is a 26 year-old guy who is on the site from morning to night—he has made over 450 posts since joining a month ago. If you think about it, multiple replies to a single thread count as a single post, so he has probably posted at least twice the number that shows up in his count. I actually feel bad for him—at 26, he should either be taking care of his family if married, and if not, he should be out having some fun with friends. Also, does he have a job? Even if he works from home, his time on this site doesn’t seem to leave much time for work—maybe that explains his socialist leanings—he’s content to let the rest of us take care of him.

My suggestion is stop reading and replying to him and others like him—when a two-year is having a temper tantrum, he finally gets tired if no one pays any attention. I think the same treatment will work on Ayahuasca and his gang—surely they will get tired of posting if no one responds. We can only hope that something will trigger their Off Switch.
