It does seem to be the beginning to the end. I would expect at least a month to cross their 'i' s and dot their 't' s.
It was a major obstacle. We have stopped crawling and started walking. Now we are waiting for the jump....

I've been thinking for the last four months that Iraq will not RV till Maliki consolidates power. If right -the earliest would be April -May. Most likely June. I've lived in third world countries for over 20 years and three coups. It hyas always been consolidate power first. Can't see why Iraq would be different.
I do hope I am wrong.

Why the need for insults, when the first part of your statement alone would have made your point?
Those of us who believe an RD is the probable outcome base this belief on a straight-forward interpretation of the available facts....CBI key financials, news articles, and basic economic principals, not twisted forum interpretations of these same facts and shouts of "smoke and mirrors".

My question is... If they were going to so called "lop", why wouldn't they have done it already? My answer is: because they're not going to. They are getting their "ducks in a row" to bring their currency to what is should be. And its gonna be great!!! And they WILL honor our notes at a 1 to 1 Exchange.

That's what the Kurds get for joining the Maliki govt. If they want to follow the 2007 agreement they need to withdraw from the govt. I don't think they have the guts to do it.

This is NOT done... I found this on another site.
The meetings were for approving some CHANGES to the HCL which has been heavily rejected by Iraq and Kurdistan up to now. There have been several DRAFT proposals presented, with only some of the amendments approved. None of the draft proposals have been fully approved yet, as there are still demands for yet more changes.

The part of the HCL related to management and distribution of oil revenue-sharing to the people is to be done under a totally separate law which has yet to be formed. Before they can present the new law for the distribution of the oil revenues, there must be a census. The census has been postponed indefinitely due to serious problems with the various tribes refusing to be labeled and/or counted. The approval yesterday July 13 was for CHANGES to a DRAFT PROPOSAL for an Iraq National Oil Company, and more changes to the HCL itself. The approvals related to the HCL over the past several months have been to changes to the DRAFT proposals. Not the actual legislation itself. All of this is clearly shown in articles from all over the world...

The name is made to bring a smile. When I was 6 my grandfather had a very old pickup. He called it 'Ole Constipate'. I didn't understand it at the time. When I asked why he called his truck that he said,'It is hard to get started but once it starts you can't stop it'.
The RV seems to be hard to get started. I just hope once it does nobody will be able to stop it. Thanks for what you do....
