  1. Razur, I loved your "peace leaf." LOL Have you heard the real story behind that Peace Leaf?  It's so powerful because it falls from the single "Peace Tree" that grows in a very special place in the Magical Forest. There is only one tree in the world like this,  and it only sheds a single leaf once each year, which is why humans are at war so much. <smile>

***Maybe this explains why my kids loved listening to me when they were little. Of course, all that changed as they got older. lol So now I tell my stories to wide-eyed grandchildren. My grown children always say, "Mother-r-r-r-r-r" when I tell these stories to their children. But the children listen, so what can I do?

    LOL

  2. billio0, I think that's "olive branch," rather than "olive leaf" to be offered in peace. (Rest assured, however, I would be glad to take the leaf at this point). lol  Even though I am teasing you a little, I believe your words were intended to bring the gentle healing that "olive oil" is noted for providing. Thanks, sweet man.

Thanks to all of you. This was an exciting "read," and I was overdue for one, especially regarding the dinar, the RV, and the personalities here. You guys are all wonderful!!  Never let the dinar or the RV change you.  You are perfect just as you are.  LOL   Love all of you--Francie26

  3. Nadita, I have also lost beloved friends from the animal world, and I know how much we grieve their loss. In my own life, they were there when I walked out of my bedroom every morning. They were there when I came into the house after long days at work or tending to other life-business. They were there when no one else was in my life, simple moments when I found myself alone, except for them. They were there when I laughed, when I cried, when I felt good or bad, and they never turned from my grief . . . nor from my happiness. They were part of all I am. Their very lives were wrapped around mine, and they made me the center of their lives in ways no human ever did or even could. Thus it is no wonder they leave a yawning void when they are gone. They become the other part of ourselves, and they magnify and enlarge who we are and even what we become. They give us amazing opportunities to be fully human. And when they leave us to go on ahead, they simply go through a doorway where they wait for us. Your story is particularly touching to me because I once had a friend of my own named Misty. My "Misty" was a pure white, long-haired cat with a slender  gray spot wrapped around the front of both ears. After many years with me, she also became ill and I had to help her when the time came so she wouldn't feel anymore pain. That has been over 25 years now, and I still think of her and miss her. I also lost my beloved Abracadabra (Abra) and my beautiful, loving, gentle  "Spike." That's what beloved pets do for us. Through them, love never leaves us. Through them, love takes up residence and lives in our hearts always. Thank you for sharing the story of such a beautiful life with us.  The measure of your grief is simply the measure of the love you returned to her. Just remember--she isn't really gone. In all the important ways, she will be with you always. Best regards,  Fran

  4. I think Obama is the weak sister, but we Americans have just given him too much authority. And like all "weak sisters," he gets overcome by himself when he is given any power at all to use against others.  Further, the office of President of the United States of America bestows the most real power anyone can have on this earth, so he is really "feeling his oats" right now. Weak sisters (otherwise known as bullies) like to "strut their stuff" when they feel they have any power at all. But underneath their façade of power, they always remain the weak sister, a.k.a., the bully.

  5. So many things are coming to a head right now. The government in Iraq is ready to step up with a new leader, to get rid of Maliki (as are we all).  Adam once said the RV would most likely occur at the beginning of a fiscal year, and their fiscal year begins on July 1st, and like Adam, Shabibi also once said they would do this at the beginning of a fiscal year. So the timing is right. The government is about to get rid of Maliki, which will allow them to raise the value of their currency, since I understand that Maliki was the major hold-up on this. In fact, I read that, if Maliki had allowed them to RV, they probably wouldn't have these current problems, since so many people would have made a living wage, so many new businesses would be successful and hiring new employees, so that people who have no jobs now would be making money. And I am sure that many of you can point out many other valid reasons they should raise the value of their money at this current time. I would love to read all your comments about this. (And I am sure I will) haha

  6. Reid can be defined using  a term Nancy Pelosi once used in another context, "astro-turf," a worthless piece of pretense, with nothing "real" or "decent" about him. He is the worst sniveler who has ever abused his office, a worthless creep who has lied, connived, and done his best to destroy the Senate and the Constitution.  I despise that piece of nothing, and would love to see him thrown out of power and have to creep home with his hideous tail between his back legs. Just listen to his Gawd-awful voice sniveling and whining and curling its ugly self around his hateful, disastrous ideas. He literally makes me sick.

Can you tell I despise him? haha

  7. I did it, too. She is a beautiful girl, and I am proud to vote for such a pretty "winner."  My grandchildren are in many sports activities, and I love watching them play, basketball, softball, baseball, and football, whatever is in season.  Seems like sports activities in childhood often creates "winning" adults. Best of luck!

  8. I agree with every word of this. And in addition, Obama took the last of our soldiers out of Iraq, destroying our chance to finish converting a lawless country into a democracy in the Middle East.  So now Al Qaida is coming back and destroying all the freedom that had been created there by the sacrifices of so many brave Americans.  It's like Obama is throwing our brave men and women's sacrifices, their very lives, into the wind.

  9. God bless them!! How fortunate we are to have been born in the USA and in Italy and other free European countries. Sadly, many of those who migrate want to bring much of the worst of their old country with them, to the detriment of the country to which they flee. And sadder still, many of those ideas are religion-instigated and driven.

If free countries are willing to allow these people permanent refuge (and only if they are), they should make it clear to these immigrants, "we will allow you to stay only as long as you obey our laws and value our principles. When you stop doing that, even if it is at the behest of your religion, we will take you back to where you came from and drop you off. And you will never again be allowed to enter our country."  Then they may have to follow through and return some people for a while to make it clear that this will be done every time it happens, and to make sure they know they know they won't be coming to just another version of their same old life. It will be to our life-style, our beliefs, our country. The problem is, when they bring their old ways and ideas to the new country, they often change the new country and  set it on a path to become all they hated and left behind when they fled. I don't want to offer my home to someone who comes into it and tries to destroy my life so they can live their life their way in my space. Their way to live has already proven to be badly flawed.

  10. Nadita, someone negg'd you, can't see why, so I evened you out. Sometimes, I think people just don't think when they do that, or maybe do it accidentally in their rush to push a button and move on.  I may not like what someone says, but I never give a neg just because I don't like what they said. In fact, I only give a neg if they have said something beyond insulting.

  11. Besides, our forefathers knew there would be future despots like Schumer, and that is why they included the very law that stops Schumer from making laws that keep us from being able to voice our opinions and discontent. Schumer not only wants to do whatever he wants to do, but he doesn't want to have to listen to us when we object. What a guy!! I bet his wife could tell us how much fun he is to live with at home, too.
