  1. One line says it all to me (about this article's basis) "...Though we cannot be sure that the recent heat waves are a result of climate change..."

In the 80's it was global cooling, then it was global warming, now it's global climate change. Yes, droughts affect crops and people, but when the scientists want to create alarmism out of weather, I have to draw the line. Al Gore was wrong from the start, monthly more stories come out about global warming numbers being faked, and obama thinks global warming is the biggest national security threat? Too bad the weather is cooling in many places, because it's gonna have to get MUCH HOTTER for me to ever drink that koolaid.

  2. Ok, seriously Adam. Will the Lions get a playoff berth this year? No, wait, ...uh did you see the story about Abadi dropping his pay to 8 million from 77? Have you an idea when that will take place? My math tells me that if that starts 'soon' and the RV starts at .10, then he would be doing just fine (as would most of us investors), and that he could continue on in the lifestyle to which he as become accustomed. What say you Buzzy? :)

  3.      I am a lifelong Catholic and I have NEVER heard anything remotely resembling what Peace has been sharing, even having traveled through several non-Christian countries. I read The Da Vinci Code before I knew that Dan Brown despised the Catholic Church, and almost thought it was factual. I picked up several more of his books because I liked his writing style and noted that in every one of his books he begins by posting a fact or two at the start and thus begins HIS Stories.

I think maybe Peace has some facts mixed in with his stories that he has found that other folks with an axe to grind against the Vatican have spread around the Internet. If, regardless of the Good that the Vatican has performed throughout history, they are innately evil, then it is also possible that whatever "good" your postings are supposed to bring about, they may be (are) sprinkled with lies/distortions/biased accounts, which would then by the same logic make your posts reviling and false.

I will not deny that there have been scandals caused by extremely distasteful actions by priests in the past, coupled with poor judgement by Church elders. Nothing that MAN touches is free from his sinful nature. This 'Vatican is the ultimate evil in a trinity of evil cities' line is beyond a stretch of the imagination to say the least.

Peace, despite your moniker, I feel no Christian regard or love from you, which makes me question your motives and your goals with this thread.

If the Vatican is part of some triad of evil cities (one of which is supposedly DC), why then are Christians (Especially Catholics) increasingly targeted by this administration? This president claims to be Christian yet will not protect Christians from violating their consciences with his signature laws?

I get no logic, no love from your sharing of others' "knowledge." Maybe this is why what you are posting is falling on deaf ears.

Jesus never taught us to point out the 'evil in others and demand that everybody do the same, He taught us a Gospel of Love.

Peace be with you, I think your heart may be in the right place, but you may want to reconsider your tactics.

Like, maybe, inviting us to a bonfire.

  4. Thank you LGD!

I have seen those articles about people not getting paid, I wondered what was up with that, if it was part of a smoke screen or if there was some reason for the "attention."

Thanks for clarifying why the other things were important, I have often thought about the disparity between pre RV and post RV value of the dinar when seeing the stories calling for 400,000 dinar salaries for the public sector employees, etc.. Man, I want to work in their public sector AFTER the RV! :)

  5. I am beginning to understand why Adam has always said that the Budget was

not relevant  to an RV. Books are books and can be restructured as necessary,

however, for loans that requires something more than just rearranging the numbers.

Researcher warns the central bank to keep its funding from retail

There is a reason that the CBI is being warned to keep it's funding promises for the commodities markets.

And there is a reason that the, "new salaries schedule", is being delayed. Not to mention that some MPs

are now demanding that it be implemented. These things are in direct correlation to any possible RV.

They are only going to need to be adjusted, "IF", there was an RV.

Forgive me LGD, the coffee hasn't quite gotten the synapses firing up to speed. I'm not clear on what these items have in correlation, could you please maybe try a different explanation? Your insight and humor have been invaluable over the last few years. I can see where the budget isn't necessarily important for an RV (even though this one is supposed to include the HCL), but what is the importance of the other points/factors?

  6. :bravo:  :bravo:      Bat outta Hell -code phrase for the escaping Maliki - :twothumbs:  I suspect there might be plenty of Paradise by the Dashboard Lights given the rate we all hope for . . .      as for screwed, I sincerely hope not.

WE already heard Abadi singing "I'd do anything for (RV) Love, but I won't do that (stop the reforms/progress)...

  7. Who the hell can tell where anything is anymore . . . someone over there has got to know where in the bloody hell they put HCL.

"Habib ! Where in Allah's name is the HCL ?"

What are you talking about, where is it ?". . . scoffs Habib. " YOU put it in the 2015 Budget, didn't you, Mansoor ?"

    " Ooo, I never !" whines Mansoor.

"You idiot, ! YOU mean to say it not's there ?" yells Habib ??? " You were on the committee, you son of camel herder !"

The camel hair is flying all over the place. . .

Mansoor: Would you like to come over to my place?

Habib: I thought you'd never ask. Crunchy Frog?
