  2. Maliki-Allawi meet ends in agreement to set up national partnership govt.

    June 12, 2010 - 05:35:14

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A one-hour meeting between Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and al-Iraqiya leader Iyad Allawi on Saturday ended in an agreement on the need to form a national partnership government encompassing all groups, an advisor for Maliki said.

“The meeting took place in a very positive atmosphere that would open the door for more dialogues and perhaps could give an impetus and lend more seriousness to them,” Ali al-Musawi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

Meanwhile, Maysoon al-Damlouji, the spokeswoman for al-Iraqiya bloc, said the meeting, which took place at Maliki’s office today (June 12), witnessed talks on forming the next Iraqi government and helped “break the ice” between the two sides.

The talks were attended by Sheikh Khalid al-Attiya, Hassan al-Saneed, Khudeir al-Khuzaie, Tareq al-Hashimi, Mohammed Allawi and Hassan al-Alawi.

The meeting comes a couple of days before convening the first parliament session, expected on Monday, and two days after a meeting between a delegation from al-Iraqiya and a delegation from Maliki’s Dawlat al-Qanoon (State of Law).

  3. BAGHDAD - Iraq's election commission on Wednesday sent the final results of the March 7 elections to the Supreme Court for certification, which could clear a major obstacle to forming the new government after weeks of delay.

The results of the country's election have been in dispute for nearly three months, heightening tensions in Iraq's fragile democracy at a time when American forces are preparing to go home.

Commission spokesman Qassim al-Abboudi said the election body sent the results to the court after rejecting a number of last-minute appeals by candidates.

  4. I think "Rumor" is another spelling or slang for "bank" on this forum.

LOL. I agree! I did email the author of the information. His response was everything was moving rapidly. Another words, just another rumor! That's why I posted it here.

  5. Thanks for the post Maddy

I have it posted here because i have no links - but i know these articles were posted

Next week Tues. May 25th -

Indicating that on the twenty-fifth of this month will be the last government’s days in the absence of new government we have entered into a constitutional vacuum is real and thus should be enacted in this article to avoid a constitutional vacuum until the formation of the government.

Noting that “the Constitution permits the President as prime minister in addition to his position as President of the Republic in case of any reason, and we do not mind that in the event of the expiration of the mandate of the present government or the inability of the political blocs to form the House of Representatives next to the pending agreement to form a national government that includes the collection components.

State of Law extends the work of leadership committee for ten days

The work of the leadership body which includes fourteen members, responsible for developing mechanisms to select the next Iraqi PM is extended for ten days ( posted today May 18 )

Here are the next official steps and constitutional deadlines as Iraq’s fledgling democracy crawls toward establishing its next government:

    * The Independent High Electoral Commission said it would publish the preliminary results on Monday and objectors would have three days to file complaints before the results could be sent to a court for final certification.

    * The supreme court has no deadline for certifying the results but election officials said they did not expect a long delay. The court has been considering the results from 17 other provinces, excluding Baghdad, for several days already.

    * President Jalal Talabani must call on the new parliament to convene within 15 days from the date of the certification of the election results.

    * The oldest member of the Council of Representatives chairs the first session, in which members have a maximum of 15 days to elect a speaker and two deputies.

    * The council elects a new president within 30 days of its first session.

    * The new president has 15 days to ask the largest bloc in parliament to try to form a government and choose a prime minister.

    * The prime minister-designate must form a governing coalition and name a cabinet, or Council of Ministers, within 30 days. * If the prime minister-designate fails to pick a cabinet in the required time, the president has 15 days to nominate someone else to try to form a government.

    * The new prime minister designate has 30 days to try to form a governing coalition and council of ministers.

    * A new government is deemed to have been formed when a prime minister’s cabinet nominees and their programmes win the approval of an absolute majority of the members of the Council of Representatives, or parliament.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Council of Ministers decided on Tuesday during its last session to implement the agreement between the oil ministry and the Kurdistan region to export crude oil extracted from the region, the official spokesman for the Iraqi government said.( posted May 18 )

We cannot forget Iraq’s Parliament Recess will begin around July!

Hang onto your seat it looks like next Tuesday will certainly be an interesting day.

  7. Well, if its true, then I guess my days of panning for gold will soon be over. Water is really cold at 10,000 elevation, but gold keeps me coming back. Especially at 1,230 an oz. So, any one want to buy my gold claim??? Yeah, its a real good gold claim. Maybe an oz per ton, takes 189 shovels to make a ton. But you can move a lot of dirt by taking some of those super juices they got out there. I did and moved 350 shovels that day whew, made some money that day. So, this rv is really looking goooood!!! LMAO

That's too funny! I'd like to buy into this gold panning thing. Where do I pay? I may not make any money but I could afford to shed a few pounds. LOL Wow, where can you do this at 10000 ft.?

BTW, I enjoyed receiving this email. Do I believe it? Maybe not this week, but I will keep believing that it will RV and hopefully soon. I didn't write the email but I posted it where it belonged. I did call the guy that wrote it. I really didn't expect to get and answer or even that it was a valid number. The guy is from Owings Mills, MD and he was very cordial when I talked to him. I have his name, business name and address. Only time will tell if any of this is true. God Bless! Enjoy Life!

It's too short to be hateful. :)

  8. [8:13:10 PM] Sunday night This week I have had three things to report and as I say it is phone calls to people I know, but have not seen any documentation so I cannot verify anything, except for my word and what the word is of my trusted friends.

First one is from my guy at Fifth Third Bank, after almost a week or more with no contact, he calls on Thursday and said we need to talk and asked if I can make it in on Monday, he would not confirm nor deny anything on the RV, Letter to the confirmation, or an rate, and said I will cover all that in person. So we will have to go see him tomorrow and see what he knows or what and why it is so important to see us right away.

Second one is a friend of ours that works at Chase Bank, she confirmed the bank did receive notification and if leaked out it is termination of their job and a $200,000.000 fine. So we have been communicating after she gets out of work, except for Friday, she call during the day and said be on the lookout this coming week mainly Monday or Tuesday and the cash in Rate will be $3.09 and the RV rate will be $3.19. She said that this is info that was put out in the meeting they had earlier that day. I asked her if I could pass this info on and she said yes as long as you leave my name off and what state, this way it will not be tracked back to me.

Third One, is our guy that we deal with at Wells Fargo, we called him late Friday to see if he would say anything and he said no he knew of nothing, then about 3 hours later called me on my cell and said he could not talk at work, but all he would say is if you have the dinar in about any amount, you will be a lucky person this coming week, after it happens please come see me so we can discuss your investment opportunities.

So, either all this is a coincidence or it really is going to happen this week, three banks and three different people and they all indicate this coming week so that is all I have and again it is rumor until I actually see it, but wanted you to hear what I have heard this week and it all took place on Thursday and Friday.

    Q: wonder what it means 3.09 or3,19

A: She said that is what they will be paying out so the cost of cashing in at Chase according to her would be $0.10 on every Dinar or $2500.00 on every $25,000.00

If you plan on doing anything with Chase, I believe they would drop the rate, just my opinion, just like Fifth Third has said to me that if I do my investments or trust through them there will be no charge for the exchange.

This email came from my cousin. I do not know the person that wrote this so this is all I have, so treat it like a rumor!

  9. This is not a Report but what I have seen and experienced in Iraq, then as a soldier (27 years retired) three OIF combat tours and now as a contractor supporting those I once was!

And Good Morning too, from Iraq! I have so…… much I could share but little time with the current drawdown of US Forces. Here are a couple short stories that will solidify your investment decisions in regards to purchasing dinar, ISX and Al Warka.

On 5 Jan 10, I opened an Al Warka count at branch 717, note: the branch is physically located on a Forward Operation Base (FOB). In opening my account I was apprehensive, curious and excited all at the same time. It was unlike any current US bank where you walk in, fill out the required paperwork ~ walk out with temporary checks in hand, three working days later you receive a debit card ~ and you’re off to the mall baby!

I can honestly say there was apprehension when hand over several thousand USD to and unknown individual knowing he didn’t speak English and my Arabic sucks! When I opened my accounts Saving/Checking IQD and USD the deposit was annotated by hand in a small blue ledger and given to me along with deposit receipts. All deposit or withdrawals are initialed by the branch manager and the “official” Warka stamp is placed on every receipt. When opening my account I requested a Warka Debit Card ($5 cost) and Warka e-Bank ($15 cost). In the back of my mind, I’m thinking “If I were investing with Bernard Madoff my money would be safer!”

When opening my accounts. I was told both my Warka Debit Card and e-Banking pin would be sent to the branch in 7 – 10 days. Well……5 weeks later I received my Warka Debit Card and pin #. I received my e-Banking instructions and pin via. email 2 weeks after that. The first thing I’m thinking is what good is this Warka Debit Card if I’m not in Iraq or can’t access a De La Rue machine. Note: all currency in my Warka account is IQD. For checks and balances I decided to purchase merchandize from AAFES using my Warka Debit Card ~ well it worked! The purchase when thought just like my Wells Fargo debit card. I will be testing my Warka Debit Card ~ internet purchase and when CONUS in about 7 weeks. I will keep everyone posted, if it works out side of Iraq.

Additional checks and balance, when initially logging on to my online Warka e-Bank and accessing my accounts I noticed 5,580,000 IQR missing or not deposited in my savings account. I immediately when to the Warka Bank with all my receipts and surprisingly the correction was made in one day.

Surprised at first, but there have been several occasions when I’m making a deposit and US Soldiers from the base finance company are exchanging USD for IQD. The GOI is forcing everyone to use IQD instead of USD. Why would Iraq force it’s currency to be circulated?  I will talk about ISX on later post.

Economically – Being unlucky to convoy and lucky to fly to various locations with in Iraq. The economic growth is mind boggling! The construction to rebuild AND build an infrastructure of highway networks, rail networks and international travel is well underway. You truly have to see it to believe it. Also, I will keep everyone posted on Iraqi First Initiative (IFI). The IFI is the gradual replacement of contractors with Iraqi citizens as all military bases are turned over to Government of Iraq (GOI). I hope you find this informative.

    “Supporting Victory”

God, not my will, Your Will Be!

While the info on the Warka Bank is not surprising, it worries me. I have yet to fund my account. Their economy sounds promising. Thanks for the post! :)

  10. Hi I am in Lee Fl...we have called a lot of banks in Jacksonvelle they were all nice. " If we found out that you had it for an investment we will shut your acct off." gee, that don't sound good...we could all be in for a ruff ride when we get RICH. GO RV Thank you for the post!

Lee, FL, Is that near Madison FL?

  11. This is why those posts are called RUMORS... and are posted in the what? The RUMOR FORUM.....

Kinda like the internet version or Ripley's Believe It Or Not

    HAHAHAHA! Good one! :P

  12. "OUTSIDE SOURCE" means it didn't come from Dinar Vets or anyone on this site, including me. I don't make up rumors just to watch the impact they have on people. I saw the rumor on another site... figured we hadn't had a nice juicy one in a week or so.... and decided to post it here in the Rumor Forum. If people are dimwitted enough to believe that I am making this stuff up, they don't need to be speculating on currencies... slapping tacos at the Bell might be a more appropriate activity for those folks, and more in line with their intellectual and cognitive abilities. LOL

A rumor is a rumor... believe at your own risk.

Dear Jebus help us all.... DUDE, THIS IS THE RUMOR FORUM. You want facts and documentation go to the News Forum. Dee Dee Dee

K98Knights LOL I agree! Why do people read rumors and expect to get facts. Then they get mad and for what reason? Rumors are for entertainment until RV actually happens. Why read this rumor forum and take it for gospel. I love to read it like a comic book. It's entertaining people. Go somewhere else if you don't like it :) !

It is "people" not "peeps". Peeps are people who look through a window, keyhole, cracked door, etc. as in "peeping tom"...

    PEACE! ;)

    I LOVE IT!!!
