RVWITHME
Not sure how to read this one, but it looks like the CBI is going forward with bidding for a New National Retail Payment Systems Infrastructure, BUT they won't be awarding a contract for it until April 23? One of the things I can't figure out is how much they intend to pay for the system, and in what currency. Also troubling is that nothing points to whether or not we can have an RV prior to implementation of the NRPS or if we have to wait for everything to be in place, which could take a year or more. Could anybody with a better understanding of this please shed a little light on how this affects the RV (if at all)? PDF link in brackets for all to cut and paste [http://cbi.iq/documents/Announcement%20of%20a%20tender%20EN.pdf] GO RV (please hurry)

fnbplanet
If it has to do with the ATMs, I read that they're not expected to be in solid use until June.
steveinfla
This is how I look at it. We have had a banking system and so has Iraq long before ATM's so why would an ATM machine hold up the RV. Simple it wont. What good is an ATM or any other convience system when you have no currency to trade with.. It would make sense to me anyway to have the banking system and tradeable currency in place before installing and bringing a convience item like an ATM on line....
Shick
SO THIS MEAN IRAQ IS GOING TOWARD DEBT CARDS? IF SO WOULDN'T BE WISER TO RV FIRST, GET THERE CURRENCY STRAIGHT FIRST THEN WORK ON AN ATM.

Russell M
Dont hate me, but it is possible (yes you can ask Adam Wednesday) that these guys want to discourage all outside dinar investors in hopes of reducing payback amount and preventing further buys... IMO sorta "shake the trees" thing.
skitealwedrop
Why thank kind person! Your welcome. I read many posts on this forum. Your words make sense to me. My belief is that we will see an RV/RI without fanfare. It's simply a matter of time. Let's remain patient. Merry Christmas All! Ski

IMO sorta "shake the trees" thing. The Iraqi's have issues that are beyond us little people. Their economy and future is what is at stake. What they're trying to tell us is they do everything slow. Your right Tony. The Iraqi's are a messed up culture with no business sense. Let's hope that Shabibi is our trump card.
BigJake
Can you imagine the size of the ATM machine they would need for the current currency. It would be ginormous!!!!!

Dwight Vincent
I got on this dinar train right after the first of the year. As I started down the track for the station (RV) they would move the station down the track another week. This has happened every week. Now it is pushed to mid January. I think with the problems they are having with the CBI and as slow as they are at getting anything done, I am going to push the station ( RV) all they to summer.Maybe August. Its like a circle line, round and round she goes, where she will stop nobody knows. There dosent seem to be a station insight yet.
