President Obama to Mark End of the War in Iraq Next Week

[/url] Email 16 Smaller Font Text Larger Text | Print President Obama will visit Fort Bragg, N.C., next week to “speak about the extraordinary milestone of bringing the war in Iraq to an end. ”

The president and his wife will salute the end of the war, and the combat forces who fought there as well as all militry families during the event on Wednesay, Dec. 14.

Fort Bragg is one of the U.S. Army installations that has deployed thousands, and is helping to close down operations in Iraq by the end of the month.

The ceremony to mark the end of the Iraq was comes about 8.5 years after President George W. Bush stood beneath a “Mission Accomplished” banner on the USS Abraham Lincoln to declare “the end of major combat operations” in Iraq.

Fort Bragg’s commander Lt. Gen. Frank G. Helmick, who is also deputy commanding general (operations ) for U.S. Forces-Iraq, told reports he’d like to have his troops home before Christmas, but logistics of closing down bases will make that difficult.

“You just can’t leave equipment in Iraq or Kuwait,” Helmick told reporters. “We have to do what is responsible and that is to make sure all of the equipment is accounted for, all of the people are accounted for and all of the ammunition is accounted for. It’s a very, very arduous process and we’re trying to streamline that process to make it as efficient as possible.”

“We’ve closed about 70 bases and we’ve moved roughly 100,000 soldiers and civilians since September of this year,” he said.

The latest headline there is "Final pallets of equipment prepare to exit Iraq" so yes, I think our RV is almost here! We are close folks, but please don't listen to any gurus and get hyped up and make a fool at your Holiday gatherings! Been there, done that lol. We might have to wait until this whole NWO is in place entirely before they flip their magical switch. This is much bigger than Iraq.

Yes I am ignorant, when it comes to early american history. The TWO most BORING classes I ever had was American History and State and Federal Government. You bet I memorized what I had to to get out of those classes. The truth of the matter is not only was the subject boring, but the teachers themselves. zzzzz.... So some of us have different aptitudes and I am a genius in my own right about subjects that contribute to technology. And if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Being from Illinois gives you bragging rights over President Lincoln or not, in the case you just made. I however have been drilled on the pilgrims, thanksgiving, plymouth rock, Boston tea party and the revolutionary war.

Now when it comes to this investment, it has forced me to learn things I have become very inquisitive about, so the learning never stops. Thanks for the reply and maybe you are crazy about history.

Obama will get credit for the end of the Iraq war as well as the release of iraq from Chapter 7, the Global Settlement Fund, Iraq Sovereignty, the ID RV. This will save the global economy & Obama will get re-elected for all this even though Bush set everything up under the Strategic Framework To Rebuild Iraq & is going according to Bush's schedule.

Anything that may go wrong will be blamed on Bush. Anything that goes right will be given full credit to Obama. Obama get re-elected for doing absolutly nothing.

Abe also lied about the reason the civil war was fought over ,to cover his political rear end. He said "it was over slavery "when in fact it was over the heavy tariff tax's that the north was imposing on the south. Many southern plantation owners had already freed their slaves , it was more profitable to just pay them a salary than having to hse and feed them. General Lee "before the war started" had already released his slaves while General Grant had slaves right up to the end of the war. There was a large number of blacks who joined the confederates against the north. It's all in the history books and youtube.
