Post RV Vegas Party Planning

Recommended Posts

I estimate all the party people, and gamblers will be broke within two years, and most homeless. I would say 90% will be singing the blues. Do you people really think the casino's are going to let you win? WOW! LOL!

I think your missing the point.

Easy, dude, DV has turned into a dating service. Sounds like your going to have your hands full.:lol: treat them good.

Go RV

Are you even invested??????? I'm sure even the MOST sensible will definately celibrate when the RV occurs! You may choose something different than Vegas, so start your own thread and maybe you will have others that agree with your thought process. I for one love the "Blues", would also like to plan a trip to New Orleans!

My mother-in-law is invested and her plan is strictly to enjoy the rest of her life! Being a breast cancer survivor she knows how short life could be.

I could do a cruise!

I am invested in many things, but I do know how to hold on to what I have. It's your business what you do, but a fool and his money is soon departed. LOL!

There is an old saying down south, don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Please don't think that the south actually started this adage. The thought was recorded in print by Thomas Howell in New Sonnets and pretty Pamphlets, around 1570, 6 centuries ago:

Counte not thy Chickens that vnhatched be,

Waye wordes as winde, till thou finde certaintee

I was born and raised in California (I know, a hotbed of vanity, infidelity, indiscretions, fornicating and narcissim - I love it!) and I remember the adage from my childhood as an example set by my mother. Enough of self- righteousness on your part.

And; do not assume that because we are going to Las Vegas that we are going to gamble. It just shows your ignorance of this international family vacation destination. There is plenty to do. Have you heard of their golf, speedway, sporting events, shopping, some of the best restaurants in the country, relaxing around the pool, hiking, Grand Canyon, etc. Perhaps you have a problem with gambling, and drinking. We're sorry and understand if you do.

And; do not assume that most of us are ignorant and will throw any money away that we have made in this investment. I am sure there are some that will make unwise financial decisions. We are humans. But do not judge us. That is not your position in our lives or the universe. Perhaps you are speaking from experience, and therefore, you are judging, therefore, warning yourself against temptation. You need to more gentle with yourself, or does your belief system not allow that for yourself and others?

And; who are you really? What name have you revised and come back as Anti. Chuckie 13? Is that you in there? You were both miserable.

And lastly; you need to talk to your post office, because I think your invitation has been lost in the mail.

You don't know me, and I never stated the south created that quote, I said it's an old saying they have down south. I could care less what you do, and it's nothing out of my bank account if you blow every dollar you have. Next time read what I said before you go off on one of your rants.

Those of you who are high rollers and have diamond/7star/chairman status at the casinos in Vegas may get a plane ride and free rooms, but the rest of you, forget it!!!!!!!!!!! I know because I work at one of the biggest casinos on the Strip in Vegas. If you are a regular gambler and have built up some points, then yes, you'll be rewarded in some way for your loyalty because the Customer is King on the Strip. However, the planes and the expensive suites belong the guys with a history of spending BIG $$$$$. A large group reservation could negotiate a fairly decent price in the current market but remember, the casinos have to make a profit so they will not just give away everything if they know they won't turn a profit from other revenue streams as a result of the promo giveaways.

Carrello, right on!! I may play a couple of slots, even if I have a million dollars in the bank I couldn't bring myself to put more than a hundred or so in a casino. I wouldn't be coming to Vegas to gamble, I just REALLY want to meet you all!!

For me, this is a celebration of commraderie, put a face with an avatar, for better or for worse. We are going to see who was telling the truth!

Play some slots, Blackjack, throw some dice, a little poker, Baccarat. Have fun! And hopefully, everybody will want to bring a couple of Wounded Warrior families along for a sponsored vacation and we can make a financial pledge to the organization. That will be the most rewarding of all, IMO.

Blow it out your self righteous bank account.

No sense of humor I can see that. As far as my bank account goes, it's very large, and as far as the dinars, it don't matter to me one way or the other, but being a friend told me about it, I bought a little, even though I don't need the money. LOL!

We have a strong common bond, and best of all, we will be off this bumpy ride! biggrin.gif

Bring your dad. If he is single, I want to meet him. Does he have dinar? I am just kidding.

If you need a babysitter, I can help out too. I don't gamble or drink, so this could work out. Don't even think about not going because of a sitter. I am going to volunteer George Hayduke too! B)

Sheesh... a guy stays up a little late, sleeps in and awakes to find he is a baby sitter. If the Rams weren't playing (I mean losing) today, I'd pull the covers over my head and go back to sleep.

Besides, I think the mods are more experienced at baby sitting than I. B)

Go gambling, and blow all your money. WOW!

+1 for you, I agree. Too many people will blow all their new found wealth quickly. I choose not to participate in that.

 More than you can imagine

Nice avatar George :D

Everyone has a different idea on how to celebrate. None of them are wrong. I wish everyone the best, no matter their choice. I still dont get the animosity people have toward each other for differing celebratory preferences. Vegas is not for me, been there too many times, but just because I dont like it does not mean it is wrong.

Be nice to each other people, bashing others for their likes, dislikes or opinions is still not acceptable here.

Good point Lutie. This should be fun. Those that dont like fun and choose to belittle others for what they like can leave.

If you cant find the way out, I can direct you.

Go RV. We are close.

I'm an older man so I don't think I'll be going to Vegas. By the way, is it true that "what happens in Vegas does not necessarily stay in Vegas? Or is it the other way around?? just a note, I worked for several casinos in Puerto Rico and I want to let you know that the casino always wins!! Please be careful how much you play. My advice is that you set aside what you believe you can gamble without it hurting, and stick to that amount, no matter what. If you win, count your blessings but if you lose, walk away and don't try to get even. Odds are that you won't!

We are getting close... better start organizing our planning!

Note: Do not post your email or request anyone to email you in this thread, we don't want to get anyone in trouble!

While I am all in favour of a post RV Vegas party, I wonder why you think we are "close." Lots of people thought we were close last December. Now a year later, there is still lots to do. I would love to hear your specific thoughts as to why you think this is going to happen soon.
