Why not? We have done everything possible to rebuild Iraq, barring Afghanistan there is nowhere else we cant just pull out of...as for Afghanistan, we are doing no good there...its impossible to win a guerrilla war, that is the reason the american revolution was a success in the first place. Do you think its better to keep spending American lives for nothing? What do you hope to accomplish? Terrorism is a crime, are we going to have a war on crime next? I'll bet its just as effective as the war on drugs...what a joke.

People are now starting to make war noises at Iran...is this what you want? A never ending war machine that just drains american lives and money for some obscure purpose that even the troops cant tell you. Its a good thing we got rid of the bad men Sadam and Osama, mission accomplished, lets go home and stay there.

The fact is we need to stop sometime, otherwise it just becomes a feud....we have now killed more of them than they have of us. Muslims are very good at feuds...just read a story in the last couple months....Muslims in the Philippines killed 8 people between 2 families over a car deal gone bad...a car! This is what we are doing by interference...we guarantee that for at least the next 20 years even if we pull out now they will try to get back at us...it never would have happened if we kept out to begin with

As a Canadian I do not vote for American politicians ... heck, I can barely find a Canadian politician to vote for ... it is usually vote against by voting for the least likely candidate. But in the case of the US I think I would have to vote for Gingrich ... I mean, how can you top Barack Obama? Newt Gringrich. It has so many connotations. The witches brew "Boil, boil, toil and trouble" ... and if your witches brew does not work, try adding more "eye of newt" ... and of course if things are bad by his first Christmas there is always the hour long cartoon Christmas special "How the Gingrinch Stole Christmas" I just cannot see anyone else getting in. I mean, in the political arena, most of the linemen are looking the other way or we would not have had the mess there is now. Just my opinion.

Actually, I was hoping for Herman Caine(SP?) but obviously he had emotional problems, because we all have to run our homes like a business. So we desperately need a financially conservative and pro-family proven C.E.O.! :rolleyes:

I have to disagree, I think Ron Paul's non-interventionist(not isolationist) foreign policy is EXACTLY what we need. Why in the world is Iran a threat to us if they have a nuke? Please explain this....they dont even have one yet, but even if they did there is NO WAY they can match the 50000 nukes we have...you think they would risk bombing Israel and being wiped off the map? No, Ahmenijad(spelling?) may be evil, but he is not crazy....Israel would wipe them off the map even without US support. The fact is Pakistan already has nukes, and they aren't friendly to the US or Israel. Also, the ENTIRE reason we have so many problems in the middle east is because we have been interfering over there for something like 60 years...of course they hate us because we wont leave them alone. Israelis are big boys, they can take care of themselves. Ron Paul is NOT against defense, in fact he is for a strong defense, he IS against imperialism, our troops defend us best here at home, not in foreign countries...that is called offense, not defense. Just look at this whole Iraq thing, this investment aside, we have accomplished nothing there....we took down one dictator just to install a new one...or course the Iraqis hate us, from their perspective we did what we always do....made things worse....if we stayed here at home and freely traded with the entire world without getting into entangling money and life draining alliances with other countries we would be far better off....just like we were before world war I started our whole current interventionist police the world policy.

We need to remember that these middle eastern people are NO THREAT to the USA or anyone else for thatt matter.....the whole terrorist BS fairy tale...look out for the bad boogeyman approach has been orchestrated to get us to live in states of fear. It feeds the agenda of the elite in control...your owners.

They WANt you to be in constant fear, so you'll give them permission to implement and lobby for tighter and tighter security laws and technology.

You will find that you'll be under more and more surveillance, subjected to draconian security measures.......unless you Americans stop their BS.

Ron Paul...if nothing else, will be a step in the right direction...to balance the books....to get the USA back onto gold and silver backed money....put an end to the useless, fraudulent military spending.....and get rid of the Fed bank's hold of your country, your economy and to stop their ownership of politicians.

Gingrich? Seriously? Do you not remember the whole ethics mess he was in? Ethics aside though Newt is the man who recieved a 1.5 million dollar check from Freddy Mac...remember them? They were the ones that caused this whole economic recession, he constantly flip flops depending on which way the money is flowing from...no he is a horrible choice....the ONLY decent stance he has(at least for this week) is he is somewhat for stricter fed controls

Bradybear...the candidate you are looking for then is Ron Paul, there is no more fiscally conservative republican anywhere...they call him Dr. No for a reason, he wants to cut 1 trillion in his first year...real cuts, not cuts in expected budget increase like all the others always talk about. As for family...he has been married to the same woman for 50 years and obviously raised his son right.

No...I don't think so....he made his money by screwing over the average American, the last thing we need as a president is him screwing us over....besides he has really inflammatory foreign policy....he wanted to "take all of Iraq's oil" as a cost for invading, can you imagine the amount of hate we would get from them? No he would be an absolute disaster, businesses can afford to be ruthless, countries can't

For me, it boils down to one thing, whoever is running against Obama has my vote.

There you go! My selection is not on the ticket so whoever challenges O needs full support from every

conservative. And NO - none of them will be as disastrous to our country as O has been. :angry: But they also

need to have solid backup in the House and Senate or they will not be able to change the direction

this country is heading. DO NOT SIT this election out - if you do, you have no right to complain when

our economy crashes, the jobless numbers escalate, and you can't find a doctor to treat your illness. :shakehead:

Just my opinion, so let those who are mature read this and keep it moving without negatives. I am mature enough to read others picks for potus and keep it moving without giving negatives.

To those whom choose to give me a negative for my little pick- here's a reason to give me one: go slap your mama, it's Mr. OBAMA for four more years!

It's gonna be sad when the news will report about all the domestic assaults on mothers around the country next year. Please get your mama a face guard for christmas this year so she is ready for the slap down if you love your mama - Lord knows there's gonna be a whole lot of slapped mamas next november when Mr. Obama get re-elected!

Ron Paul is the only candidate that isn't a nut! He has steadfastly declared smaller government and back to the gold standard. If you don't like the way the government is going or what they are doing, how about downsizing it. That way they will be making fewer & smaller mistakes. You make not like his looks or his humble demeanor but he has been very steadfast in his position. It takes a lot of guts to be the only one to speak up for what is right. The rest are mostly socialists. We really need to make both the democratic party & the republican party illegal in the USA, like they have the baathists (?) in Iraq. One or the other party has been in power for the last 60 years and look at the mess they have us in. As far as Iran or Israel, how about letting those in the area take care of themselves? You think they can't? Let's see. We have fought three wars we had no business in. Probably Korea, for sure Viet Nam, Iraq, we should have left Afghanistan as soon as we cleaned out those that bombed us, if they did. Don't get me wrong, we need to carry a big stick but be very careful with it. Anyway, Ron Paul is the only honest candidate running in either party. Also, he has consistently been in the running all this year. The newspapers just don't want to give him anymore attention than they just have to.
