Hello, Community!

Every year about this time, I take some time to evaluate my finances and figure out how much I can afford to give to help others out.

This year, I want to do something a little different... I think this will do much more than any check I could personally write!

Every day, this site is viewed by 10's of thousands of people, and obviously the ads generate some revenue. I then use that revenue to pay for the site, upgrades, maintenance, etc.... well, from Monday November 14 until the end of the year I am going to give 25% of the ad space to 4 charities of your choosing. Since this site is dedicated to the Iraqi Dinar, I have chosen to keep the options focused on organizations that serve our troops, both active and otherwise.

I posted a thread asking what charities the community would like to see helped, and these are the ones that were suggested. I don't prefer any one over another, and I am not biased on any of them. I don't get a tax write off for this, nor any other benefit..... this is something I am doing because I believe all of us together have the power to make positive things happen, and we should thank those men and women that give us the freedom to do things like speculate on a foreign currency.

This my way of saying "Thank You" to our amazing heroes.

:tiphat:

Please review the following options, then vote in the poll above.

(You can also make a contribution to any of these if you are able and inclined!)

http://uso.org The USO is a private, nonprofit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services.

http://www.operationhomefront.net MISSION: Operation Homefront (OH) provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.

http://christmasspir...troops/home.htm Trees for Troops® is a program of the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation (CSF). Since the program’s inception in 2005, Christmas Tree growers from across the U.S. have generously supported military families by providing 84,000 fresh cut Christmas Trees.

http://www.cleaningforheroes.org/ We are the only non-profit dedicated to providing free cleaning services to veterans in need! Cleaning for Heroes is committed to promoting a healthy, clean home environment for our disabled or elderly community heroes.

http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members. To help injured service members aid and assist each other. To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members

http://www.specialops.org The Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides full scholarship grants and educational and family counseling to the surviving children of special operations personnel who die in operational or training missions and immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations personnel and their families.

http://www.americanf...mfoundation.org The American Freedom Foundation, Inc. mission is to honor the men and women of America’s armed forces and raise awareness for their service and sacrifice and raise money for organizations that serve and support our veterans, active duty military and their families. Special emphasis is directed to the welfare of those wounded in action, those disabled and the families and children of those killed in action in conflicts throughout the world.

https://www.newsmaxs...christmas11.cfm Christmas Calls for Troops : Our troops can use these gift cards to call their friends, family and loved ones. It will be a special moment for them — and one you can give to show your support for these heroic troops.

Newsmax is asking its readers to join with us to buy as many soldiers as we can AT&T's Prepaid Global cards. Each calling card costs $10 and gives each recipient 120 minutes in call time from Afghanistan and Iraq to the U.S.

These calling cards will be distributed by the U.S. Army's Family Morale and Welfare Command which will ensure the cards are delivered to military personnel.

http://ecad1.org/ProjectHeal/Home.htm Project HEAL© is a program offered by ECAD.

The program honors and empowers Wounded Warriors by providing specially trained Service Dogs to increase independence and make a difference in their lives.

http://pennysfromheavenfoundation.org Penny's from Heaven Foundation working therapy dogs are also on "High Alert" with Soldiers' Angels to assist incoming wounded warriors with severe depression and to offer aid and comfort wherever it is needed with the families of the soldiers

http://www.dav.org The DAV provides lobbying for Vets. They support Vets in Congress and the Senate. They support the rights, benefits, and care for disabled vets. They have vans that transport Vets to the VA doctors and hospitals. They also represent Vets with disabilities to the VA. They are so overwhelmed & cannot handle all of the disabled Vets. A sizable contribution could buy another van, more case workers- for better representation, or a volunteer at the VA hospital etc.

http://www.salvation...f/vw-local/Home The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Pennies From Heaven would have to be my vote!
