audigger Posted November 9, 2011 Report Share Posted November 9, 2011 BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Al-Iraqiya political bloc denied today its acceptance that Saadoun al-Dulaimi to remain as defense minister, stressing its stands to adhere to this post as its privilege, according spokesman Haidal al-Mulla. Al-Mulla told Aswat al-Iraq that no agreement was reached with the State of Law bloc on his stay as minister of defence. "The Prime Minister is very slow in determining this dossier," he added. Many MPs disclosed, earlier, that there was an agreement between the two blocks that Al-Dulaimi will remain as minister of defense. Premier Nouri al-Maliki entrusted al-Dulaimi with the post as acting defense minister, while Iraqiya bloc announced that this move will deepen the security posts crisis. Acting defense minister visits Diala province 11/7/2011 2:03 PM DIALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Acting Defense Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi visited Diala province today, security sources reported. The source told Aswat al-Iraq that the minister visited Diala Operations Command, mid of Baqouba city, and had a meeting with military and police officers on the security situation there. Security leaders confirmed the readiness of their forces to impose security and stability in the province.
