Is it just me or are SOME of the newer members just plain rude.

I will apologise in advance, because I am quite certain this is going to offend some body. This is not meant to do so. However, over the last few weeks or so I have had a lot of time on my hands to do an extensive amount of reading on here. I have spent more time reading V. I. P. Than anything else. Unfortunately, what I have also noticed is that over the past few weeks we seem to have acquired a new bunch of new members who seem to just stir up a hornets nest. Maybe I am wrong but I have noticed several post from relatively new members who have made comments, particularly towards Adam and him being a" pumper." Any of us who fully believe in this investment and are here to learn, express or opinions in a respectful manner, make new friends / contacts and have fun while we wait know this is not the case. It infuriates me that these few individuals think they have the right to join this fabulous site and then try to destroy it. Adam has explained on many occasions how this site runs. How it is financed through people like myself who have chosen to pay for V. I. P. Membership. He has explained the benefits of this post R. V. Adam is in this adventure to make money, as we all are, otherwise why are we here? Yes he recommends V. I. P. ....but when has he held a gun to any of our heads and said "pay up or get off my site ". It is his site. It is only natural that if you have something of benefit to others and you can earn a bit of a living along the way then wouldn't we all do the same? I am tired of hearing "I am a newbie and have been visiting for a while before I joined.............". Then by the time they reach their 3rd post or so they are name calling and creating a cyber riot. Adam has reset all our reputations. I agree with this if it helps weed out the bad apples. Unfortunately, if those of us amongst us rise to the bait of some of these -ve comments and end up receiving negs we could potentially end up band from the site. I made a comment on a thread three or four days ago and later that evening , because the person didn't like it they followed me round the site putting negs against my posts. Sadly they also negd some of the people I am friends with who were responding to my posts. The person is relatively new but it just shows how childish and petty some are being. I wish they could be some way of limiting newie post or monitoring their behaviour for a period once they become members. A kind of probationary period. I realise this would be very difficult if not impossible but at least then there might be a few less outburst when SOME of them have little or no understanding of this site, it's members or of Adam. I am sorry for the rant. I hope it makes sense. Adam if you read this..... Thanks for your efforts. Bettyboop. X

OK, I'm a relative noob as well, but my thought is that the members and participants on the forum actually have alot more power than we think. If you see inappropriate negative comments or bashing going on, the members have the responsibility to call that person out and give them a negative rating. The plus / minus system works both ways. I think there are many more optomists out there than the negative nellies, so let's start using the power of the ( - 1) to weed out the rotten apples. Also, let's start using the power of the (+1) to negate the bashers. The mods can only do so much, we need to help them out with our votes. Plus one to you Betty, I'll start this train

Great post Betty I think they come here to stir the pot, because they can !!!! I think of all the dinar sites out there, this site is the most interactive one of ALL... You can hit what's new every minute and bam there is something new, either by a new post or replies flying back and forth. I truely don't think there is another site quite like this one. Maybe if the bad apples are ignored here as they are on other sites they will get bored and leave. Of course this is just my opinion

Yes, it seems this place becomes infiltrated from time to time by people that just want to spread discord. It's a limited mind that stops by for occasional 'drive by' criticisms, and no doubt Adam gets annoyed with it. If anyone has any intention other than being constructive and helpful in some way, then they should drop off and not be here. I imagine it's difficult to effectively 'weed out' these types of people in the general population, hence the initiation of the Rep reset to curtail these idiots. Unfortunately, as you've observed, there can be a downside and all are at risk of being banned if there are excessive negatives. I'm not promoting VIP (although I should join and take advantage of the benefits), but it's one way a person can show they are not mere riff-raff trolling by to cause problems. It demonstrates commitment to the site and the investment. I, like you, am here to learn, encourage and uplift my fellow 'comrades' that have hope for the 'if' and 'when' the currency revalues so that I can move on to better things. As far as concern of a permenant ban due to a build up of negatives in your profile (put there by the bad crowd), you shouldn't worry, imo. Your overall Rep. with your fellow members that have been out here awhile should count for something. Maybe, yeah? Anyway, that's my early morning thoughts, I need to get some breakfast. Spamming - look at how many rumors are created by a new member w/ only 1 post - (They're just looking to get everyone excited for no reason).

But some are more unique & I find rather interesting. They have a negative perspective, but extreme hopes, only to contradict you to get you to explain why you believe something will work out. They'll come with evidence, facts, links on how something is not possible. They're simply just using knowledge they've learned that has been argued elsewhere to try to get a person to give their optimistic view. They'll continue to counter it, because they're using that person to get the links, facts, etc. to solve their issues.

I'll put this into an example: Lets say I felt that they couldn't R/V because they had such a high money supply. I could easily refer to CBI & many articles & claim it is roughly 30T. This doubtful person is skeptical themselves, but they use another person to do the work for them by simply arguing it as fact. The person who does the work, has to look up the evidence that also supports 30T doesn't exist. They'll provide their best opinions, supporting facts, and supporting links. The argumentative person will continue to hold his ground & squeeze the other to basically get everything out of them as possible. All w/ simply arguing the fact that they once doubted, to only feel more optimistic. This example is probably confusing, but they're basically getting the other person to spoon feed them the information they want. Nothing entirely too wrong with that, as this is a forum & everyone benefits from that type of discussion. So, basically they're rudeness sometimes benefits the whole mass. (i.e., a lot of knowledge has been gained in Lop discussions)

It's natural to disagree at times, it creates new ideas and view points. But too attack and go -neg crazy and to stalk as i saw the other night is just juvenile. Maybe Adam can put a lower limit on the number of negs one can use in a period, maybe just 2 per day. It would be much nicer if these people just saw and respected each others opinion. I agree, but when folks accuse me of bein a pumper or they insult me when i bring good news or info to the table it just encourages me more cuz usually it's in times like these ,when i get insulted the most, that i usually strike gold in my investments , hopefully this is just another example. I just ignore them and continue to look for legitimate good news . Besides folks like that are swayed by the wind , once it rv's they'll brag about how they knew it would happen the whole time so you can't take what they say serious anyways.

I see this happening to the newbies also. I'm soooo new I am still trying to figure out what all this means. I at first thought the numbers next to the green and red buttons were my allotment of times I could plus comment. Then within an hour, all the numbers were gone! Everytime there were numbers added, 'poof" they were gone. I want to be a positive person and NOT a nnegative nelly~

No disrespect but as you have been a member for some time, I am sure you've seen many newbies come out guns a blazing with nothing but bs. I think you would agree that it takes time and good relevant posts to earn respect. Maybe the fact that you have very few posts gave people cause to think you were one of those wild newbies. I have to admit, I am a non VIP member. I own my own business, have a wife in school, and 2 teenagers at home. Every penny is already allocated for something ( I can't even put gas in my boat, what is this world coming to?) These are my own constraints, though. The responsible thing to do, ya know!

In saying that, I have been in this venture for a bit of time now, since one of my best friends got back from his tour in '05. I have since been looking for sources of info that offer good information to the interested public. This site has provided just that. I have no need, though, to join the VIP for my investment situation was already planned out long before I discovered DV. If I had not already planned ahead, VIP is a steal and I would be all over it! The opportunity offered is fantastic... again, if you had no prior plans.

For those of you who are new to the investment or even new to investing, period, I suggest you jump on the VIP bandwagon. It is something to aid you if you don't know how to do so already. I am not calling any body ignorant either. Simply, if you don't know then ask.

Adam has never really behaved like a pumper but rather an informant I would say. So Kudos to Adam. I appreciate what you have done. Please don't feel I am taking advantage of the situation, simply appreciating it and screw you downers. If you don't like what is going on here, hit the bricks... make like a banana and split!

I would hope that Adam and/or the mods, would not just program the website software to ban anyone automatically without human review, so that if someone who has always been a positive asset to the community, receives such an attack of negatives from childish newbies, that the site management could nullify that.

If you ever need to get "evened out" - just speak up and say so. I'm sure there are a lot of us who would be happy to +1 every post of yours until we ran out of +1's.

I have never neg'd anyone at any time, just because I disagreed with their position on an issue. In fact, I've hardly ever neg'd anyone at all - they have to be just outright vicious for me to even think about doing so. What is this world coming to, anyway?
