You’ve all heard about the saying that “nothing is free” or “you can’t get something for nothing”. Well, you actually can. The biggest problem facing electric car manufacturers today is the battery life of their vehicles. All electric cars today need to be recharged. Recharging electric cars comes at a cost. A cost that is far from being free.

The cost alone for the many batteries that are needed to drive an electric car for any feasible traveling distance is the main reason why electric cars are more expensive to buy than gasoline cars. The fact that they are more expensive to buy than gasoline cars is the main reason why people are not buying electric cars. The weight of these batteries causes a heavy drain on the battery life of these electric cars. This drain prevents all electric cars built today from having any useful endurance. The low mileage is the second major reason why people are not buying electric cars. Then the cost for electricity is added on for recharging all those batteries. So how can we reduce the amount of batteries and the purchase cost associated with them and at the same time completely eliminate the recharging costs? With a drive-charge electric motor.

What is a drive-charge electric motor? It is an electric motor that performs dual functions – simultaneously. Using the same electrical power input this type of motor can provide power to the vehicles transmission which then transfers power to the vehicle’s drive shaft causing motion and simultaneously it can recharge the vehicle’s 12 volt battery.

The drive-charge electric motor pictured above has 2 drive shafts, one on each end. Both shafts rotate simultaneously. One shaft is attached to the transmission and the other shaft has an attached pulley and serpentine belt which is connected to and turns an alternator. An alternator is an electromechanical device that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy in the form of alternating current (AC). Alternators produce AC power through electromagnetism formed through the stator and rotor relationship. But car batteries can’t use AC power since they produce DC power. Because of this the alternator’s power output is fed through diodes, which converts the AC power to DC power. The DC electricity is then channeled into the battery, providing voltage to run the various electrical systems.

Alternators are not a new invention. They have been used and are used in all gasoline automobiles (since the Ford Model T) to charge the battery and to power the vehicle’s electrical system when its engine is running.

The drive-charge electric motor is both the electric vehicle’s engine and electrical system. Couple one shaft of the drive-charge electric motor to an alternator and it also becomes part of the battery recharging system – providing free and continuous battery recharging. Because the drive-charge electric motor uses battery power from a single 12 volt battery to recharge the exact same 12 volt battery it is completely eliminating any external recharging system and all costs associated with using an external source of electrical power. It also drastically reduces the number of batteries needed to provided enduring motion The battery will power the electric motor as well as simultaneously recharge itself so long as the drive-charge electric motor is turned on. Something for nothing

One of the main reasons is that the charging systems can't keep up with the power output... It takes a lot of power to turn those wheels.

I was thinking the exact same thing "Lost One" stated, you can expect to use the same battery to run an Electric motor drive train and use the same drive shaft to run a Generator

o try and charge the same battery, and expect the generator to keep up with the output.

The idea of using the momentum of the vehicle and to turn a shaft attached to a generator is not new, they use it in hybrids today for regenerative breaking, and when that kicks in you can really feel the vehicle slow down cause it takes a certain amount of energy to turn the gen. when you are charging (nothing is free)

these guys on the link must be trying to sell someone on this bogus idea

Will not work. Violates the laws of thermodynamics.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion

Thermodynamics you say??? I will wait to see what OKIE has to say about this my friend. From what I am to understand, he not only pumps gas at a local gas station, but also has a degree in Thermodynamics!

Laws of Thermodynamics | Back to Top

Energy exists in many forms, such as heat, light, chemical energy, and electrical energy. Energy is the ability to bring about change or to do work. Thermodynamics is the study of energy.

First Law of Thermodynamics: Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed. The total amount of energy and matter in the Universe remains constant, merely changing from one form to another. The First Law of Thermodynamics (Conservation) states that energy is always conserved, it cannot be created or destroyed. In essence, energy can be converted from one form into another. Click here for another page (developed by Dr. John Pratte, Clayton State Univ., GA) covering thermodynamics.

The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that "in all energy exchanges, if no energy enters or leaves the system, the potential energy of the state will always be less than that of the initial state." This is also commonly referred to as entropy. A watchspring-driven watch will run until the potential energy in the spring is converted, and not again until energy is reapplied to the spring to rewind it. A car that has run out of gas will not run again until you walk 10 miles to a gas station and refuel the car. Once the potential energy locked in carbohydrates is converted into kinetic energy (energy in use or motion), the organism will get no more until energy is input again. In the process of energy transfer, some energy will dissipate as heat. Entropy is a measure of disorder: cells are NOT disordered and so have low entropy. The flow of energy maintains order and life. Entropy wins when organisms cease to take in energy and die.

Potential vs. Kinetic energy | Back to Top

Potential energy, as the name implies, is energy that has not yet been used, thus the term potential. Kinetic energy is energy in use (or motion). A tank of gasoline has a certain potential energy that is converted into kinetic energy by the engine. When the potential is used up, you're outta gas! Batteries, when new or recharged, have a certain potential. When placed into a tape recorder and played at loud volume (the only settings for such things), the potential in the batteries is transformed into kinetic energy to drive the speakers. When the potential energy is all used up, the batteries are dead. In the case of rechargeable batteries, their potential is reelevated or restored.

In the hydrologic cycle, the sun is the ultimate source of energy, evaporating water (in a fashion raising it's potential above water in the ocean). When the water falls as rain (or snow) it begins to run downhill toward sea-level. As the water get closer to sea-level, it's potential energy is decreased. Without the sun, the water would eventually still reach sea-level, but never be evaporated to recharge the cycle.

Chemicals may also be considered from a potential energy or kinetic energy standpoint. One pound of sugar has a certain potential energy. If that pound of sugar is burned the energy is released all at once. The energy released is kinetic energy (heat). So much is released that organisms would burn up if all the energy was released at once. Organisms must release the energy a little bit at a time.

Energy is defined as the ability to do work. Cells convert potential energy, usually in the from of C-C covalent bonds or ATP molecules, into kinetic energy to accomplish cell division, growth, biosynthesis, and active transport, among other things.

I've been involved in dinars a little over two years. I've been investigating Over Unity claims for almost six years.

I'm as hopeful that we will see an amazing return on our dinar investment as I am that we will see demonstrable Over Unity before the end of the year.

I scares the daylights out of me to say that but I believe it to be true.

I belong to a group originally sponsored by one of the most promising alternative energy developers but is now an independent group of investigators, mathematicians, electrical engineers, designers, builders and theorists. The "amazing energy" claims I've seen on this forum wouldn't survive thirty seconds with this group.

That said, there are some very interesting projects in the works- at least one of which I feel confident will have a large public demonstration in the near future. You won't need me to tell you about it- it will be real news.

WOW...this might make an electric motorcycle a real possibility. Not needing huge batteries and being charged while riding...that would be very cool!

Electric power is instant and quiet. There is an electric drag car that is eating 'Vettes and other fast cars up when they run against him. Power is not the problem, obviously.

I reckon over unity and perpetual motion are impossible, but from what i've seen, with the advances in rare earth magnets, NEAR perpetual motion is not far off, I have seen plans all over the internet on magnets turning generators(opposite poles pushing and pulling to turn the generator) and while these aren't over unity, or true perpetual motion, not having any costs beyond magnet replacement every hundred or so years is something i will DEFINATLY be looking into post-RV

Sounds like you've been looking into this alot more then me, whats your thoughts on the Perendev magnetic Motor?

I've often had this same thought process. Regenerative Energy. I've always liked outside of the box thinking! The hundreds of failures that have occured indicates the hundreds of combinations that don't work. I really like the concept, but.......there is a large premium to go electric right now. Loss of cargo capacity to accomodate the battery pack.... No real network of charging stations, although that is changing...... Cost differential of a lot of these Hybrid's when you do the numbers, the cost difference v. MPG you have to keep the car for a very long time to break even (Green factor excluded) Im sure in time they will come down.... some might remember those early calculators $100+ same calculator now less than $10.00 or. My first cell phone..... Size does matter (hade to carry that thing in a bag on my shoulder)

Why not? I am not a Engineer (probably should have been) but a academic that thinks of possibilities. Is it possible? it seems to me in theory...simplified....some form of mechanism would have to generate more power than expended, sorta like an accelerator or super charger. this additional power rather than be expended for performance, should be harnesed to recharge battery. Im sure there are some smart kids working on this very same concept even as I type!

As a side note, how many have given consideration to reducing your monthly contributions to the various Utility companies? When looking for a property to build our new home, we had a couple of considerations that were unappealable, Site had to be Solar friendly..... perc for Well and septic....... and be addaptable for Geothermal heating and cooling. Not that I hug trees or anything like that, my motivations are purly financial. Free energy..... I'm a BIG Fan!

Well just like our forfathers that were around when Thomas Jefferson was creating the light bulb. They thought it was imposible...So do we in thinking that this would not work. Remember he had to create a new way to send power through a material without burning it up. Now that was quite amazing for a man of his time. My father use to say "nothing is imposible, it just takes a little longer"..... :)

Tesla: Spooky guy. Came up with AC as efficient means of long distance wire transmission then screwed by Westinghouse if I recall correctly. Lots of insightful and Big Idea attempts. I can't even begin to understand most of it. Some of the things I've been seeing may be foreseen in his work.

Pendrev has been around much longer than I've been involved. If the magnetic motor works as well as claimed, why can't I buy one? Oh yea, Big Money Conspiracy- I don't buy that.

Perpetual motion. So far a dream. There is a sexy elegance to the notion. None of the current best contenders for over unity (more power out than put in) utilize perpetual motion. Two of the three can be explained to the layman without crunching numbers. A lot of forehead slapping ahead.

The Laws of Physics. These Laws are the result of accumulated observation. Current understanding is always in flux. I don't think anyone involved in any of these projects has disdain for current physics, they are using their educations in physics/engineering to exploit known phenomena in unique approaches that are yielding unique results. They are all very different from one another.

What I find exciting is that the arc of both Over Unity and the Dinar seem to be converging toward the end of this year. One reason for OU happening now rather than 10 years ago: cheap, fast computing power. If Tesla had a Deep Blue computer maybe we'd be the Jetsons.
