An icon of Indy Car

An icon of the Indy Car series has passed today - Mr. Dan Weldon. He will be missed. I was fortunate to meet Dan for the first time at the 2007 Honda Grand Prix in St. Petersburgh Florida. He was a gentelman. I ask for your prayers for his wife - married in 2008 - and his two sons one, two years old the other 7 months old.

So tragic He was doing what he loved I am sure, but still, to think of his wife and little ones and all they are going through makes me so sad. Prayers for his family.

Such a tragedy, the racing world has lost a great one. My prayers are with his family and all his racing family.

The race was only twelve laps in when this tragedy happened.........the drivers didn't even finish the race, the last race of their season.

Very touching tribute by the drivers as they took a five lap 'drive by' to honor him.

He will be missed. Pray for his two young children and wife and all his family.
