IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!! Why do you think we are on Wall Street? Even though I have voted Repub, we need jobs NOW. They came out and said PUBLICLY that they dont care about unemployment. the Only agenda is to get O out of the WH. We WILL get him out faster with jobs. Even faster with RRRRRVVVVVV..

You don't pass it, just because it's called the "Jobs" bill, you need to know all what is in it.

What are the hidden ramifications.

Many progressive agendas are hidden with names that make you feel that it just has to be good..

Beware!!!

He couldn't even get enough Dem support for the bill.

No more "you got to pass the bill, to see what's in the bill" crap!!

The jobs bill didn't pass because the rich guys tax was included and the Republicans are never going to agree to raise taxes on the rich.

Not even for jobs.... In the past, taxng the rich more didn't create more jobs, it made it worse... it is the rich guys with their businesses that create jobs.

However, I think the world has changed... there are many companies with the "rich guys" just sitting on their money and won't hire people.

I think the old ways of trying to fix the economy doesn't work anymore. The countries are too interconnected and the companies are too global.

I don't think ANYONE knows how to fix it. ANY president and ANY congress are just going to have to keep trying different things until hopefully something works.

The RV would help open up jobs..... lots of people would quit

It can be fixed.... The problem is that everyone is with the belief that one side or the other is right and people really dont do enough research to understand the problem.

This administration is clearly trying to divide the American People... and its working!!! Do we need any more debt... HECK NO~!!!

The problem with GE and not paying taxes is not that it doesnt have a high enough tax rate... it just has too many loopholes to avoid the tax. I worked for GE for a while.... they were not always this way... Now I dont support them at all.

Obama and the unions are fighting for the their workers.... if this turns to socialism...... They will tell business and unions what you will make... and trust me it wont be what your getting now when its comming out of THEIR pocket.

Most of all concerning all the business owners sitting on their money.... I raided all the money that I had to keep my company afloat.... what did it ge me..... Nothing. I should have sat on mine also to ride the storm.

There is too much uncertianty today for someone to possibly believe that " Ill keep my business alive because it will come back soon.... BULL PUCKEY!!!!

Dont get me wrong... the people that got the bail outs to keep their executives..... that was wrong.... If you want to go against a group of people .... go against those that short the market. They are betting for a failure and they are the only ones that can possibly win... even when they set the failure up. .

Our biggest worry right now is that Obama isnt worried about his second term.... I think he has plans to become King in 2012 so he wont need that second term. Lets just hope our military knows who and what they really protect... The people, land and the Constitution of the United States of America.

That will be the free Americans savings grace.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

I am the kingfish and I approved this message.

You are right... and I was referring to the bigger corporations that are sitting on their money. I agree with you totally about the little businesses. They are really really hurting.

They have a hard enough time competing with the big guys.

There should have been strings attached to any bail-outs. Like at least a 30% reduction in the salaries of the executives. After all, if they were doing a good job, the company they work for wouldn't need the money....

I am not totally convinced that Obama even really WANTS to be president again. I think it is just expected of him. I think the stress is taking its toll on him and his wife and family. Has there ever been a president that chose not to run a second term?

I don't know about all this "agenda" stuff. I've heard it on both sides. Don't really know what to think. Haven't researched it enough yet.

Unfortunately we are closely "monitored", and are at risk of being tossed if we offend even one other person.

I respect this is not a political forum, there are many issues I would love to bring to the table to demonstrate crony capitalism, deception, and corruption, but it has been made abundantly clear the consequences of posting the truth can get you booted.

In respect for the rules of this forum I will only say it is the special interest lobbyists(mostly for big corps) that are able to "influence" politicians, (look at the Soylndra scandal), and then force us taxpayers to either foot the bill, or, to purchase their products.

Also, look at GE, they get billions in stimulus money, manufacture products overseas, and then get their equipment specified for installations in America.

The only people getting rich are the politicians and the corporations willing to play the game with the government.

This whole thing is about 2 different types of people.

Collectivists, and Individuals.

Ummmmm.... The American Jobs Act was published on White House.gov on September 12th. It's now October 12th. So it's been out for 30 days now. The posted text of the bill is 199 pages. That's 6.5 pages of reading a day to figure out what's in it. There are 242 Republicans in the House, that's less than 1 page per. There are 47 Repbulicans in the Senate, that is 4.25 pages per Senator. They can't read these page counts in 30 days???? Really? Why are we paying for all these staffers and representation if they can't read 199 pages in 30 days?

By the way, Eric Cantor said on September 7th, 2011 that the House Lawmakers must now "focus like a laser on growth,". So what's his plan for Laser Focus? Tomorrow will be spent debating and voting on abortion! Really???? Abortion???

And by the way, the bill passed by a simple majority in the Senate 51-49. However it couldn't overcome the 60 vote minimum for cloture (Fillibuster) because 0, ZERO, Republican Senators can see their way through to compromise and maybe pass something on jobs for AMERICANS. The final vote was 50 - 48 because Reid had to change his vote to no after it closed so he can bring it up again later.

Have the Republicans put anything on the table to be scored lately? If so point me to it! I'd like to see it.

It's really simple... but the collectivists and the administration want to make it complicated... to spread blame and confuse the public... especially the youth, hence the demonstrations...

It's not the governments job to create jobs... period. It's their obligation to get out of the way and create an incentivized economic environment.

The "old-fashioned" cut spending, cut taxes theory has always worked.

And while we're at it... get rid of the IRS with the Fair Tax and watch America respond and flourish. Simple. Don't fall for the convolusion...

Simplfy! :)

Okay, let us look at this issue LOGICALLY and not EMOTIONALLY.

1. It is terrible for anyone that wants to work to be unable to work.

2. The U.S. government has hindered, and in some cases, prevented the creation of American jobs by the creation and implementation of bureaucratic agencies like the Department of Energy, the EPA and others. Should we have a department of energy? Should we protect the environment? I would say yes, absolutely. We should be responsible with energy and environment. Should the DOE, or EPA be able to bypass Congress and create regulations? Absolutely not. It is the burdensome OVER-regulation by such agencies that drives our jobs overseas.

3. The American system of free enterprise is not perfect, but IS the best and most productive system in the world and it's history.

4. The Banking and Finance sector of our economy, as we know it, was actually deemed UNconstitutional and illegal by the Thomas Jefferson administration because when you grant unlimited power to greedy men no good can come of it. We in this generation are witnessing a largely unfettered caniballistic consumption of our civilized society that is driven by greed while politicians rend their garments with one hand and collect favors in the other. Money is NOT the root of all evil. The LOVE of MONEY is the root of all evil and we see this played out everyday in conference rooms where a company's mythical "projected" earnings and losses are as intangible as a fiat currency. These too are the results of greed implemented through a corrupt political system.

5. It is jealousy and envy which drives people to be offended by a CEO making millions. It really is none of our business how much money one makes, but Obama and his cronies prey on the simple-minded emotions of people when they say "at some point, you've made enough money." I beg to differ with the President on that matter. It is none of his business how much money I make. It is bad enough that the IRS (another brain-child of greedy politicians) has so much power that they can ruin your life and the heck of it is that once they get on your ass they will grind you to pulp because as far as the IRS is concerned you are guilty of tax fraud and evasion until you prove your innocence. That runs counter to the way our system of government was concieved. An accused is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty and the burden of proof is on the accuser. Try that one in tax court... Now with the new Obamacare law the IRS can not only view your bank accounts in real time, but can also transfer funds from your account into theirs to satisfy requirements of the new healthcare debacle. Remember: when a "magician" performs and has your attention on one hand, pay close attention to the other hand because something is happening in that one. If you don't believe that... Well, whatever. The tooth fairy cometh.

6. Our currency is without real value because it is based on GDP (our ability to produce) and whatever the Fed says. As you may recall, the gold standard was removed, therefore the dollar is backed by Treasury Notes and the Federal Reserve Bank is neither "Federal" or a "Bank". They're just a group of greedy men intent on ruling the world once they hold all the deeds and titles, and most of them see us (you know, we, the serfs) as insects and they have no qualms with squeezing the life's blood out of us, but all the rhetoric coming from politicians is nothing more or less than political posturing to position themselves for a cut... You and your life are only collateral damage on the road to perdition.

What else do you want to know?

Amen! Ronald Reagan would have applauded your post. As he once said, "Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem."

Pureau,

Removing all emotion and just being logical I will agree. But we need action now to repair what is broken. Our elected officials (both parties)have an income. They are not doing anything and it is not that we want too much involvement form the govt but for them to correct their mistakes namely the banks bailout. The problem is not corruption or greed. The problem is the system that pushes you to give up. Beware not only of the enemies. But also of false friends who are already working to dilute this process..

No tax has ever created jobs.

Corporations and small businesses are sitting are THIER money,

because of government regulations and economic uncertainty.

Don't think for a minute, that a U.S. corporation or business,

would not prefer to stay here in America.

The CEO's and business owners do what they have to do to make a profit.

That's the whole insentive to even being in business.

It's not thier job to give you a job,

but they sure would love to, if it was profitable.

Government regulations and Unions are what is truely stifling job growth.

Government needs to keep thier hands off other people's money,

and rein in thier spending.

More government and more spending is never the answer.
