Let me sum it up for you, 1) we had to let you win the first two so you wouldn't quit early on us 2) according to players... the game is even 3) Now! vern
The Big List of Bullpen Heckles Ya sorry guy s- but yall know how it is---Thats why they call it the BULLPEN-HAHAHA "Hey, can I have a ball?" (After refusal) "That's OK; I'll get one when you pitch." Who's taking the loss today? Show us your home run pitch At least you can't blow any saves sitting on the bench! Ball. Ball. Go ahead and start with Strikes whenever you're ready! This is the guy we want! You've been on the bench so long you've got enough splinters to build a house. Nice change-up, but let's see your fastball! You're gonna wear out the wood on that bench! You in dry-dock down there? Go out and throw some gas on that fire! May as well go home (name of closer), we wont be needing you tonight. The average age down there is deceased! A no-hitter for you is when you go a game without hitting someone! You glued to that bench? Are you still active? Are you the bullpen coach now? You've been cut, its in today's paper! Dead Man Walking! You're gonna blow up real good! I hear you're on your way to Cooperstown!, Go on Sat. and its 1/2 price Nice uniform, where's the Star Trek convention! Isn't it time you retired? Does that Chewing Tobacco have steroids in it? The camera's on you, look busy! First one of you to actually throw a strike can start next game! I'll pay for the pizza if you go get it! Is it Father/Son day down there? You better start working on a knuckleball! Say a Prayer --Vern

WallyWeaver
Question for Tiger's fans, or for anyone, I suppose: At 24 wins this year does Verlander get the MVP, the Cy Young, or both? Show me a player in the AL who was more valuable to their team, individually, than Verlander was to the Tigers (I guess everyone can see which way I'm leaning). WallyWeaver
Let me preface this by saying I am an Angel's fan, and a die-hard fan at that. But look at Verlander's numbers for this year, followed by his AL ranking in that category: Wins: 24, AL rank: 1st Innings Pitched: 251, AL rank: 1st Strike Outs: 250, AL rank: 1st ERA: 2.40, AL rank: 1st WHIP: 0.92, AL rank: 1st Are you kidding me? In every single important pitching category Verlander finished 1st. Add to that his no-hitter on May 7th and 4 complete games... Ask yourself: Would the Tigers have made it to the playoffs without Verlander? In my opinion, no. I would say MVP and Cy Young is not out of the question.
colt32
Go RANGERS!!! Since the best team in regular season baseball is out. (phillies) I'm pulling for the Rangers. I got my 56 year wish answered last year when my Giants finally went all the way......unfortunately they had to dispatch the Rangers but I think this is the Rangers year!
