A bill that would punish countries with artificially low currencies provokes a strong response.

We rectify this by putting through this bill. Francie26, you are absolutely correct. There's a lot of stuff we don't make here any longer and it WILL take a while to get it up and running. Part of that will be to take the uncertainty out of our business environment. Most companies are sitting on money rather than investing it because they don't know where the tax laws are going and they don't want to get burned. I hope the powers that be finally figure that out and fix it.

Why would it say anything about Iraq?

China is responding to the bill and they are opposed to it. Other countries have not responded because they are NOT opposed to increasing the value of their money. FOR EXAMPLE, Iraq knows their money in undervalued SO why would there be a negative response to this bill by the IRAQI government.

Because we areso caught up in this investment we think that every article pertains to IRAQ and the DINAR. It does not! Just saying.....

I say its about time. The Chinese need to play fair. We have let them get away with a low currency, and a low import /export tax way too long. It is good that this is coming out. China is able to buy everthing out there because of the imbalances in trade. We cannot compete with china for these oil contracts as well cause we have risk as business owners, however because the goverment runs everything they can low ball bids easier.

To make matters worse, China comes here and places bids for Oil leases right here in America through the Bureau Of Land Managment and they get awarded those bids to produce natural gas and oil in THIS COUNTRY!!! Then you have other American companies that willingly partner up with China to exploit more and more of our own natural resources. i.e Chesapeake partnered up with China on all of their Eagle Ford Shale prospects in South Texas.... I am confident that most of those land owners would have never signed leases with Chesapeake if they knew that their minerals had a chance of building the coffers of China.
