Air Force bombs 152 terrorist objects in northern Iraq

The General Staff has made an official statement today, the Sabah newspaper reported. The statement says that Turkish Air Force has destroyed 152 objects of Kurd separatists in operations on the Kandil Mountain since Aug.17.

According to the statement, The Turkish Air Force aircrafts conducted air strikes to the positions and arsenals of terrorists.

Air strikes were conducted after the militants’ terror attack in southeastern Turkey on Aug.17, killing nine Turkish servicemen.

This was Turkey’s first attack on northern Iraq in over a year.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years, claiming over 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by both the UN and the EU.

so this is a war too .....wonder why Its not dicussed more and will it hamper an RV.....I guess the UN is ok with it is the PPK aligned with Al Quada

I think they are doing some house cleaning. It would make sense to snuff out as many terrorists as they can to help them prosper and not cash in on an RV.

The PPK are nothing more than Kurdish rebels whose objective is to separate their culture from surrounding cultures in the countries of Iraq, Syria, Turkey, and Iran. They are the Kurdish rogues that fight for an independent Kurdistan. They are not in line with Al Qaeda. I met several of these fighters when I was in Zakho, Kurdistan. They are merely fighting for independence for Kurdistan that most likely will never come.
