While confirming President Jalal Talabani, the need to strengthen frameworks, strong friendship between Iraq and the United States, stressed Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on the need for continued cooperation between the two countries in all areas within the strategic framework agreement.

This came during a meeting in separately in Baghdad yesterday with Deputy U.S. Secretary of State William Burns.

To that stressed Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki during a meeting with Burns, the need for continued cooperation between Iraq and the United States in all areas within the strategic framework agreement.

A statement by Maliki’s office received a «morning« copy of it: that Burns reiterated his country’s support for the Iraqi government in all efforts to maintain Iraq’s stability and prosperity, and build a genuine partnership in all areas, in addition to the subject of arming and training Iraqi forces, also presented a vision of his country about the current situation in the region.

He said Maliki, according to the statement: «the need to meet the demands of the masses calling for the

arbitration will of the people and the granting of freedoms and continue the dialogue in accordance with peaceful means«.
