darwinatridge
I went into B of A today to take care of some business. While I was there I decided to ask about the dinar. After taking care of business with the teller I walked over to one of the managers desk and asked her about their foreign currency exchange policy. She said that as of right now someone has to be an account member in good standing for six months for them to exchange currency. I asked her if she knew anything about the Iraqi Dinar and she said yes. As it turns out her and her husband have been invested in it for 3 years. She said it is not a scam but that it could take another 6 to 18 months for this to happen. We all want this to happen yesterday but if you are not prepared to be in it for the long hall as many of us have been then maybe you should just put your money into something else. And stop listening to the guru's because none of them have a clue to what is going on. 11

Since she obviously has the dinar world by the testicles, she is a bank manager and her husbands invested tooChanged my whole outlook, how stupid of me considering the writing of people who actually study and speculate... Or maybe think of this.... Just because someone works in a hospital doesn't mean they can do brain surgery.

I don't think she was blowing smoke. She was open and willing to talk enough to say that she also owned dinar. As for the time line, she realized that to politicians are as much the problem there as they are here so it was just a guess on her part.
oilman80
I bet they are tired of us asking about the Dinars all the time! I'm an investment advisor for a large company...and I get the calls all the time asking about it. Common thread of people...anyway, I bet they are tired of it. I sure am. Wish it would simply pop so I quit getting questions about it. 1

Even as a dinar holder, unless she has her finger on the puse of daily input, such as a site like DV, we have more knowledge than she does. Sounds like she is simply stating her limited viewpoint... hence her general time frame.

And as a result of the constant dinar questions from customers, that is where i think the rude bank manager was coming from (in another post re wells fargo rude bm)! Thats like calling OPEC every day and asking them, "hi-its me again-is the barrel going up or down today?"

They should change their name to BoAC, Bank of America's Crooks. I have them as one of my banks and have regretted that decision more than once... the clerks are clueless about the dinar, I asked one to look up the exchange rate and she spent 10 minutes plunking around on their system and came back with $2.99 dollars to 1 dinar. I was getting ready to pop the champagne bottle and then asked to see the print out, as it turns out she had quoted the Baharian dinar not the Iraq dinar. BoAC&CC (Bank of America's Crooks and Clueless Clerks).

Maybe some of those surgeons are just newly arrived greenhorn doctors with a transmitter in their ear receiving instructions by other older surgeons so the hospital will pay them less or a lot less... NWGUY
Thank you for the post. The most positive thing in this post, was the fact, that she said it wasn't a scam! Gosh, I have been so worried, when every bank has said it is a scam! At least she was positive it would happen! 1

capt.cliff
Hmmm--Boa ,never liked them , my mother had accounts there and talk about nickle and dime charges, poor return on savings and Cd's , they need little depositors, remember a penny doubled every day for 30 days--1,000,000.00.dollars that is the principle they work on --pennies , nickles, and dimes---to make up for the bad choices and loans they make --most of the depositors never know they are getting screwed by charges just happy with a face with a smile the second you walk through the door! Now the chickens are coming home to roost with Boa---bad numbers , the "little people"have caught on to the scam and the vultures are swooping [buffet and I don't mean Jimmy} Now to make it really easy the casinos everywhere make the big bucks on the .01, .05, .25 SLOTS, only make a slightly better percentage on the high rollers but the everyday expenses eat them alive! food for thought on banks in general---stay thirsty my friends, shop wisely! firefighter_218546
Thank you for your post. I hope she is not correct on her guesstimate on how long it will take to Rv, but I got into this back in 2005 so I guess you could say I am in it for the long haul... Since I am going home at the end of October I really don't need it to RV ASAP but it would be great if it did... Go Rv God Bless America
