with all due respect to all my dinarians out there... don't look for maliki to give anythig up he doesn't have to. it should be obvious by now that his tactic is to stall and use confusion to convolute the whole process. consider this... if maliki actually had the power to appoint the ministers it would be a done deal by now so, apparently he doesn't. all he has is a temporary power of "veto" which will eventually run out when the rest of the goi get tired of his antics. i don't see the iraqi list giving up. it seems that they are going through the process pointing out at every turn that maliki's actions are those of a would be dictator and i think this is what will do the trick eventually. allawi is going to get his defense minister come hell or high water. maliki is just stalling and milking the country for all he can before he either has to coincide with the power sharing deal or fall from lack of confidence. if it is the latter i wouldn't be surprised if he tried to take the whole goi down with him, that's how insane and drunk with power this man is. i don't think that will happen because they are so close to a real democracy. they just need to neutralize maliki and we're there... again, JMO

maliki gave allowi 2 weeks to present his candidates .. .. this was going on way to long .. so a dead line was set .. after 2 weeks maliki appointed a minister.. as allowi came running saying here ...here .. heres my candidates .. once he found out malik was telling the truth .. and maliki said its to late .. its done ... now allowi wants to cry about it .... he had 2 weeks .. whats the problem .. he must not of gave it much priority .. if maliki stands by his choice .. it may teach alowi that he is to be taken seriously in the future .. if maliki backs down .. this will just keep happening over and over as allowi stalls to prevent progress .. so maliki look incompetent so alowi can take that job back .. we will see on this one who wins .. allowi should of presented those candidates the first day ... and made it public .. but instead he now claims he gave his candidates a day early but he did not make it public .. and if he did make it public ... it should be publisized .. on that day .. lets see the record .. not just hear the talk ...
