I sure don't think this is out of the question. To me the consequences of not being prepared are much greater than the consequences of being prepared and nothing happening. I will make sure I provide for and protect my family in the best and worst of times. London should be an eye-opener to us all.

My silver has only increased in value, the water and food that we bought in bulk will get eaten/drank (and then restocked), and my ammo will not hurt anything sitting under my bed.

Do you have an emergency fund? Do you wear a seat belt? Do you have insurance? Why wouldn't I prepare for the worst in this scenario?

Grow up and educate yourself, we just had a month of 90-100 F (we use Celcius like the rest of the world) and many of your states are north of where I am. Truth hurts eh?

I am also free to travel anywhere I like but if you think you have the gonads, put your Eskimo coat on and come up and try to stop me or take your pie hole and shut it.

I think there is little doubt that we will see some rioting and chaos especially in the major urban areas as the economy continues to tank and cut backs on welfare, food stamps, and handouts must be cut or are not able to be paid by the gov't.

Preparation is essential to make it comfortably through the tough times for you and your family. We are on the cusp of many difficult times for our country and the world economy. No country is exempt.

Gov't will become more and more desperate to maintain power and control as things worsen and will continue to take away personal freedoms under the war and powers act. And it will now be legal for them to do so.

Hopefully things will not get as bad as history has shown us has happened when other countries faced the similar challenges of failed economic policies.

It is the result of politicians running fiscal policies and not seeing beyond their next election bid. To move reckoning continually to some point in the future only exponentially increases the problems when you can't put them off anymore.

I love my country, will die for her and what she stands for, but my security is not in her or this world but something more sure that doesn't change.

Please friends, let us play nice with each other even if we see things differently.

What crap!!!. Here's a response to that article from a soldier that I wholeheartedly agree with. Do you really believe this stuff Sirius? Come on!

Left/Right are all the same when the doors close, most know that now. Have you seen what is happening in the England, Ireland, Spain, Greece, Israel, Syria, ect...?

The only difference is that they all woke up. Ask your soldier expert why the US has all those foreign troops and now 200000 US troops added last month for civil unrest....

He wasn't a soldier expert. He was just some guy, who's a soldier, that responded to the spectacular, but paranoid story you posted. Yes I see what's going on around the world and I do agree that overspending, debt and poor immigration practices in Europe and North America are coming back to haunt us, but to think in the apocalyptic ways that some of you guys do it just too creepy. Have you no hope?

Sure there will be riots here one day, but we'll deal with them when it happens. Canadian's and American's have dealt with mass rioting in the past and we will again. Socialism will be shown as a grand failure once again and hopefully, we will move on to a true democratic, capitalist society where honour and truth mean something.

Do you really spend 12 hours a day reading and spouting this crap on the internet. You really should take a break! laugh.gif

The point should not be that wither we all agree or not about this happening in America, but instead to realize that if we don't do something to turn this country around from the direction her captain is steering us into, then yes these things and worst are in our near future! Just because you don't believe it will ever happen over here does in no way make it true.

Just think right now of all the scared Liberal Dems over there in Britain right now who never thought it would happen to them! They were wrong just as (I pray I am wrong on this too) their counter parts over here will be!!! They created the problem by creating a welfare state, and only realized too late that socialism does not work! They are paying for it with burning cities!

Time to learn from their mistakes America, or face the same consequences and burn! I choose to learn from them and NOT repeat their mistakes!! All Obama wants is another term, he could careless about our country! Anyone can see this. The Brits now wish they would have done things a lot different than what they thought was the right thing to do! I say stick with something that has worked through out history! And NOT change to something that has NEVER worked anywhere!!!!

As well you should be offended. The days of Roy Rogers & Dale Evans riding off into the sunset have evaporated. I too am a vet from the Nam era. Six years 1968-1973 C-130 Loadmaster/Ssgt. College grad & CPA. International banking 15 yrs business owner 18 yrs. Retired disabled vet. Disability never stopped me.

Been to the streets of Detroit lately? Cannabalized cars on the expressways out number many used car lots. NY City where gang shoplifting is being escalated to epidemic levels. Philly where people are being pulled from their cars and beaten for no apparent reason...riots just last week.

This is not capsulizing events into ideology ie left, right, libertarian, democrat, republican...this is a break down in societal fabric.. It is orchestrated and meant to destroy the America in your vision. You dear brother can rely on the Scriptures, as I will, but do not turn your head because only ignorance is blind. God Bless...

I used to drive truck back in the 70's and 80's. Detroit has always been like this. The centre core, where all the skyscrapers are, is nice, then a 15 mile band of destruction, then nice suburbs again. Someday they'll bulldoze the bad area and build something nice again. Probably not until America has gone broke and come out of it's upcoming depression without entitlements and welfare state. Only then will America function the way it was designed to.

Look at Japan's economy the last 2 decades. This is your future for the next 20 years. It will be a lost generation, maybe two. Your liberals have defaced America and now everybody will have to pay the price. I hope this is wrong, but it doesn't look like it.
