You people (people who are quick to call themselves Christians while hating) just don't have respect for others... How do you feel about the Sabbath Dinner? Our Methodist church like to experience many cultures. It's a way of getting to understand.

But at the same time, I guess it's all just a matter of humoring each other... Well keep playing little ones, I won't interrupt again!

;)

You guys are like a string of puppets; one dance and they all dance to the same tune; like a puppet. No brain power needed.

whose hating besides you?

-1 negative for you. :)

THIS IS WHAT I MEAN... ARE YOU SIRIUS (serious) ???? You're an American, I presume. A proclamation, you take an article from a right wing media and become its puppet?

Think about it, what did President's Obama statement mean to you? "This is a time of year when people get together with family and friends to observe Passover and celebrate Easter. It's a chance to give thanks for our blessings, and reaffirm our faith, while spending time with the people we love."

Mokjack, did u actually read the whole article?

It appears you have not..

................................................................................................................

However, the First Family did attend an Easter Sunday worship service at a Baptist church and last week,

the president hosted an Easter breakfast for Christian ministers. In that gathering, the president spoke openly

about the Christian faith.

And today, the president and first lady will host 30,000 people for the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.

The secular celebration of Easter includes readings, games, and a yoga garden.

This year's theme, "Get Up and Go!" is part of the first lady’s anti-obesity campaign and will also display

produce from the White House garden.

In 2010, Obama was criticized for releasing an all-inclusive Easter greeting.

He reached out to Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and people of no faith at all in a statement about a holiday that is uniquely Christian.

"All of us are striving to make a way in this world; to build a purposeful and fulfilling life in the fleeting time we have here,

" Obama said in his 2010 "Easter" message. "A dignified life. A healthy life. A life, true to its potential.

And a life that serves other." "These are aspirations that stretch back through the ages –

aspirations at the heart of Judaism, at the heart of Christianity, at the heart of all the world’s great religions," the president added.

When the White House released statements about Muslim holidays, no attempts were made to include Christianity or to mention

a spirit of inclusivity. For example, in his 2010 statement on Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha, Obama made no references to Christianity or any other religion.

By contrast, former President Bush traditionally included Scripture passages in his Easter messages and made a point to explain what Easter is about.

Like Obama, though, he did not release statements marking Good Friday.

In 2007, he said, “The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event of the Christian faith.”

“On this powerful day, let us join together and give thanks to the Almighty for the glory of His grace,” he added.

In his 2008 Easter message, President Bush said: “The Resurrection of Jesus Christ reminds people around the world

of the presence of a faithful God who offers a love more powerful than death. Easter commemorates our Savior's triumph

over sin, and we take joy in spending this special time with family and friends and reflecting on the many blessings that fill

our lives. During this season of renewal, let us come together and give thanks to the Almighty who made us in His image

and redeemed us in His love.”

whose hating besides you?

-1 nigative for you. :)

Is that some kind of racial comment? Now before yall start sharpening your red neg pencils, I am merely trying to bring a small bit of humor to an obviously heated discussion. My Daddy (no not D!nar) always told me religion and political conversations will not last very long before the name calling starts.

If I may just relate a story from my employment in the IT field. A few months ago, we had to install a large upgrade to our operating system which would require testing all application systems during most of a weekend. We have a very large and diverse staff representing most of the racial/ethnic groups from all over the world. We all get along fine and I have learned a whole lot about the different cultures which has opened this southern wasp redneck's eyes immensely, and for this i am grateful. We were having a hard time deciding the best weekend to schedule this, so the head of the systems group, who is a muslim, decided it would be done on Easter weekend. Now we are faced with another upgrade and the month of August was not even considered. Hmmmm, sound like a double standard to you? Sure does to me. I have no problem with anyone practicing whatever religion he/she wants to, but I don't want to be denied my holiest day, and not have the shoe worn on the other foot.

My thoughts on Obama (if anyone is still reading). I do not hate the man. He is practicing what he was brought up to believe. One can merely compare his treatment of Israel and her leader to his treatment of the various muslim leaders and their countries to conclude that his leanings reflect his muslim roots.

I have stretched my post much longer than I meant to so I will save my opinion on his political beliefs for another time.

In closing if you don't agree with who is in office, volunteer for service in campaigns for candidates you have researched whom you believe to be in line with your requirements. As for me, if this darn RV happens and the rate is sufficient, I will retire and do some campaign work. Oh, I hope to be able to donate 100k to the candidate of my choice. Imagine the boost a donation from each of us would mean to an Obamaless next four years.

Whew I'm done except for I urge everyone to research each and every candidate for every office and VOTE

Did Fox keep track of W's meal plans???? I mean he hosted one of these in 2001 and Fox was all over it. He even had real muslims there. Can you beleive it. And not a peep from those that now make up the radical right.

As I read through this section, I almost get the feeling that if a person is not "christian" they should not be "president" because this country was founded on "christian"values. If I remember right from history, this country was stolen from the native american, who were forced to live on reservations (hitler called these ghettos) and killed by the the invading forces. If these are what "christian" values are then keep them to yourself I want nothing to do with them. I will continue to respect someone elses beliefs and treat them as they treat me and what two consenting adults do is their own business not mine

Okay "you" nut-job. Quit pointing your finger and preaching as if you're in judgement.

Choose the word "you" differently in your rant as you are accusing everyone. Interesting that everyone in America is included in your soap box except you.

Must be amazingly tough to be perfect.

Get over yourself, please.

Dinner for Ramadan??? That is what Muslims do!!! Looks like a duck, acts like a duck, quacks like a duck .... Must be a DUCK. How hard is that to understand?

Definietly a duck. maybe a daffy duck

The problem is he stated he was not a muslum when he was runnin for pres to get elected. But clearly stated later that he was a muslin in a inteview. I don't remember him having a easter dinner in the white hse.

Great story all around! I'll add one thing to your comment; "He is practicing what he was brought up to believe."; Well that could very well be to respect people of all creeds. When you respect everyone, you give them space for their beliefs, including religions. During his campaign he promised to reach out to all nations so this is nothing NEW. That doesn't make him weak or define his religion.

A person that lends himself in this way will overlook some situations and cause reactions of disbelief from others. Those people maybe experiencing abandonment which creates another problem. Constant agitation by media groups brews a wicked stew for the country. He hasn't been perfect and not many are!

I can connect with this by recalling my own personal teachings.

As far as sportfisher; he was reaching but he doesn't know me like that so I ignore as much as possible.

LINK PLEASE!

Bush held a Ramadan dinner every year that he was in office...

http://www.usnews.co...r-george-w-bush

In fact, it has been an annual tradition since 1996, when then-First Lady Hillarious Clinton hosted a dinner during Eid al-Fitr

I think you are mixing apples and oranges in your post, HJ.

Wish all you people would create another site to stress your frustrations of the President of the USA. I could name quite a few presidents who have served before him that have performed worse than him in several categories. Get a life. Please, let's use this site for what it was intended - educating ourselves on the IQD.

OBVIOUSLY I was asking for a link which would bear out eewilliams post "I could name quite a few presidents who have served before him that have performed worse than him in several categories."

But you turned it around to meet your own needs. At least quote me correctly if you are going to try shooting down my posts.

Really? Name ONE? And don't say Bush because this defacto is Bush on steroids!

And at least the others were actual Presidents because this one is not. You must be elegible to be President which he is not, which he himself has admitted and even posted it on his campaign website while running.

Accepted +1. And I have nothing against any president honoring another religion. After all this country was founded on religious freedom. What I am concerned about is the anti semitic treatment of the leader of our greatest ally in the middle east. I was merely trying to imply that O's actions reflect his muslim upbringing

Interesting how mojack responds regardless of issues. Emotional response which demean any other way of thinking seems classic liberal response. Keep with the issue. The issue is that Obama was having a Ramadan dinner. It would be interesting if they would keep with the issue but that again is a classic liberal response of diverting from discussion to return to an emotional response.
