Cbi.iq is not the real site!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

LOL....this is a joke, right?

cbi.iq is the official website. If memory serves me, it was changed from www.cbiraq.org to the current address of www.cbi.iq in the latter part of 2008.

Your memory does serve you correct. www.cbiraq.org was the old website before the .iq

I can't believe this thread is being discussed.

Be carefully about any information you get off Wikipedia. If a doctoral student used Wikipedia as a reference, the reference would not be accepted. Their material can be added to, changed, or revised by anyone. Not really a good site for quality information. IMO

My exact thoughts! Wikipedia is not a source anyone should use as reference!

It's not believe me just go to wikipedia and type the word dinar and it's going to bring up the info for u! I think I am on to something o really do!

Look checked another bahiran they use the dinar and their website is http://www.cbb.gov.bh lol believe me it's not buddy

There are plenty of central banks that do not use a .gov in their addresses, a few of which are listed below:

http://www.bankofalbania.org/

http://www.bank-of-algeria.dz/

http://www.centralbankbahamas.com/

http://www.centralbank.org.bz <--- They use a .org

http://www.nbb.be

http://www.bankofcanada.ca/en/index.html

http://www.bundesbank.de/index.en.php

http://www.boj.or.jp/en/

http://www.syrecon.org/?newlang=eng

http://www.bis.org/cbanks.htm

Wikipedia is not a resource that should always be believed on everything posted there. There was one time when people were posting in their Iraqi dinar page that it had revalued to over $3 and that Maliki and Shabs were partying with the Bud Light girls or something. The page had actually turned into a madlibs to a point as people kept updating it to sound more and more absurd.

CBI.IQ is in Texas.

http://www.who.is/dns/cbi.iq/

Not quite true, only the hosting. Two different animals.

cbi.iq is the domain name and this has to be 'hosted' somewhere. Hosting can be anywhere in the world and can be moved about if required.

The .iq is an Iraq domain name. Domain names in Iraq are very strictly controlled, cannot be registered by private individuals. Major government and business entities in Iraq will normally use the .iq domain.

Ok check this I was on wikipedia and noticed that all the middle east central banks that use the dinar their central banks websites are all the same besides Iraq .

Ok look kwuait is www.cbk.gov.kw

Liybia is www.cbl.gov.ly

Jordan is www.cbj.gov.jo

Now Iraq is www.cbi.iq what's missing gov yes so this not the offical when we see the rate change I bet you 100 percent that it will be www.cbi.gov.iq

IMO: UNTIL THE IQD IS AN INTERNATIONALLY TRADED CURRENCY WE WON'T SEE THEM WITH AN ACTUAL GOVERNMENT LINKED SITE. FOR NOW WE GET THE CBI SITE THAT'S IT'S OWN ENTITY.

CBI is not a gov entity. They are a private set up

First thing, the Federal Reserve is a Private outfit also and there's is http://www.federalreserve.gov/.

Other Central Banks (Rothschilds) also have .gov.

This gives them the appearance of a government entity and the "people" have no idea.

And the other site, Cbi.gov.iq Whois

Whois data for this address is not available. It may be unsupported or limited by the originating source.

All I know is freakin' Libya, just out of a civil war, is around $1.76 and what the hell is Iraq doing at 1166? ???????

Somebody's makin' money keeping it the way it is. That can be the only explanation.

And when somebody more powerful than the current somebody decides to make even more money changing the currency, then we will see movement...

Either that or Keep is right (Ugh) and it's an RD cause a hyperinflation...

It really for the most part just comes down to the numbers. Not that anyone is intentionally holding the value so low. Iraqs money supply is inflated and they dont have the reserves to match. They are backing the dinar more then its current value, but not to extreme lengths.....
