I'm a 6th degree Master in Taekwondo. I currently own two Martial Arts schools in Dallas and am currently the 2011 World Champion with the sword. I've been changing lives through Martial Arts for about 22 years now.

I absolutely love what I do!! Post RV, I plan to continue running my two schools, but with a lot less stress! And of course more time to travel with my family and also teach Self-Defense & Bully Prevention to groups & communities free of charge.

I am a 5th Dan TKD and 2nd HKD sold my schools in 2001 ( they were in Houston ) and went into other businesses ... after 20 years of teaching I wanted my weekends and eveings back. I am sure we have crossed paths in the TKD world ... contact me I have a post RV idea I think is right up your alley

I am a Chef of 31 years(started VERY young!!) & a Massage/ Muscular Therapist of 5 years. Love LOVE fricken love what I do. Will I retire IF Dinars hit big$ ? Not on your life !!! :eyebrows:

Headache or hungary anyone ?? I can help you with that !

Yes I am! I love to cook, that would be a great job and I also love getting a good massage!

I am a Civil Engineer of 19 years. Love the people I work with, not crazy about the job anymore. However I get bored easy, so would probably not be happy with anything after 19 years. The economy stinks, so now is not a good time to be looking for something else. If this thing ever does RV, yes I would put in my notice at work and open up my own Sports Bar and Grill. I love sports and I love socializing, so that is my dream. Nothing extreme, but mine none the less.

Did 10 years in the service during 'Nam and learned air traffic control. Got out and went to work for the FAA as a controller, fired by Reagan in '81, sold real estate, started a company doing home inspections, sold that after 8 years, real estate investor flipping houses, got called back to the FAA after 27 years "on the street", retired from that, back to real estate flipping again, Also; heavy equipment operator, auto mechanic, electrician, plumber, mortician assistant, trouble desk dispatcher for electric/plumbing/sewer, security guard, college grad, dad and grandpop.

I guess that about sums it up.

What a kewl post...very interesting to see the diversity of careers!

I'm a AF brat, dragged around the world while my father, a Program Manager taught foreign gov'ts to use our equipment. Worked on several military bases growing up...first job was as a day care provider...best birth control there is! Later, dug graves for our returning warfighters...one of the most heart wrenching jobs you can imagine...knowing someone gave their life so you can have so many things we are blessed with.

Just graduated with my MBA, but worked at a Strip Club as a waitress part time to pay off college...so sometimes guys, that story IS true! :P

Now a civil servant working for the National Science Foundation, as a contract specialist. I buy all the equipment and supplies for when our scientist and engineers go down to the Antarctic. Very rewarding knowning you are supporting scientific research. But a long long ways from family...and there are no TACO BELLS here! :(

You guys are interesting! I'd love to hear some of the stories I know are out there...

I'm an artist, and I paint in oils and acrylics. Studied music for many years too. Now I'm a farmer in Hawaii with a 75-acre farm where we produce coffee, honey, and fabulous macadamia nuts. We're running a start-up company on a shoestring budget and we are looking forward to finding out what it's like to run a business when you HAVE money! I didn't discover painting until I moved to Hawaii... and I love it. When this happens, I plan to spend a lot more time with paintbrushes in my hands! I also can't help but wonder what life will be like when I have marketing dollars to spend!

I will add my two cents:::grew up in Alabama went into the Air Force 1971 at age 18 and it was first time very far out of home state much less country spent two years in tx and okla then went to Imir Turkey spent two years as an Electrical Power Production Specialist running Diesel Power Plants. Came home in 75 worked at jobs, until went to work for GE refrigerator plant and stayed there 21 years until until got hurt when refrig fell off line on me . Had to medically retire last year. Also been a certified lay speaker for the Methodist church for 18 years filling in at churches in and around north alabama for ministers sich or on vacation. What will i do when it RV there is some people i want to help and they have not idea its coming to be a surprise. My feelings on helping people is like this: If i walked down the street and seen a truly homeless person i would not only hand them some money i would take them into a store and buy them new cloths and shoes and what ever else they needed when this RV occurs. Jesus said whatever we do for the least of these will be done for us. If we are to share in the blessings of life we are also tested to see if we will bless others with what we have.

I am a Real Estate Investor along the coast of South Carolina. I absolutely love what I do, The market is the best I have ever seen it to become an investor. With all the hype of the dinar going on, if you want to invest in something that is really happening and paying back 10% + then let me know. I specialize in finding properties well below market value, Fix& flip or hold on to for rentals. I have proven marketing strategies that work in todays market to buy low, sell or wholesale. Please email if your interested.

wow... lots of great people on here. I catch alot of FLACK over mine sometimes but here goes.

I am a car dealer, not a sales person, but an actual dealer. I had a big Chrysler franchise in the country until the last 2 presidents thought that the government needed more than I did. So I have an independent store now and I frequent auctions all over the state of Texas. I look at aprox 10,000 cars per week for retail/wholesale distribution. I truly try to help my customers based on needs, not only wants. anything from Porsche to Pinto.....14 years of old schools guys teaching me the correct ways has paid off. I love to help people. But I am tired of the same ol stuff everyday. I have not had a vacation in 3 years. I work 6 days a week 60hrs easy.

I was awarded the CarnegieHero medal in 08 for doing what I thought any normal person would do, but they gave it to me anyway. Carnegiehero.org

After RV I will purchase my mom a house and vehicle, due to her struggle in life. I would like to reward her efforts in raising me. I plan to help places like blacksheep and wounded warriors, fischer house, and St. Jude. Half of my money will go to these efforts. I will purchase another 2 franchises for dealerships in select locations.

As for me, I will have a yacht with a sat phone and all the BEER I can drink on any beach that I happen to motor by. Live life one breath at a time until it ceases and leave my legacy to my children and employees. Roll RV.

I am a Network Engineer. I absolutely HATE IT! It pays the bills. My schedule is 24/7 and I rarely rest at all. I get laid off frequently due to the fact that companies think outsourcing jobs is the better way to go. I used to be in telecommunications. I loved that job. I helped develop the first 40 channel DWDM and traveld through Europe setting up fiber rings. But the telecom bust is what sent me into the netowrking world.

After the RV occurs, I plan on volunteering. I have epilepsy, so I will spend a lot of time working with the Epilepsy Foundation. I would like to give back to the Dallas area where there are groups for teenagers with epilepsy. It helped me during those years. Because of that, I plan on paying it forward for the rest of my life.

So even though I hate my job, I feel like it hs given me the ability to see what I want and need to be doing. And that is helping others.

Furthermore, my dream was to bein the military. But for obvious reasons, people with epilepsy aren't the best choices for that profession. So you can bet yoour bottom dollar I will find ways to suppport our troops through the wounded warrior project as well as the other one's listed in this thread.

thanks,

STP

You guys have interesting lives! Mine is rather dull after reading some of your posts. So don’t go to sleep with this one.

Started working in grocery store at 12 years of age. The boss had me sweeping the sidewalks in front of the store, sorting potatoes, and taking out and putting down sawdust in the meat market. On Fridays I had the privilege of preparing the chicken for weekend shopping. That meant killing the chickens, dipping them in boiling water, and then plucking the feathers.:( I worked at that grocery store until I graduated from high school! My dad was the butcher. He was a real cut up.:)

Went to college on a track scholarship; then to graduate school and two seminaries. I have been preaching and teaching since 1960. It seems I have been studying all my life, and I guess I have.

I don’t know as I will ever retire. I just change horses. I retired Dec. 31st from a church where I have been for the past 15 years. Great group of people.

I am now putting together a leadership training seminar for churches outside the U.S. We (three other Bible professors) will go to areas that have little training or resources and instruct their leaders in principles that will assist them in being self-sufficient (free from U.S. assistance).

As of today, I have been to only 12 countries outside the U.S., but I plan to go to more. I’m heading for Honduras this month (21st trip), then to Belize for a short recognizance trip. I organize and take down medical, surgical, and eye specialists’ teams to Honduras for the past 15 years.

After RV I am committed to establishing trust accounts which will permit me to fund the leadership training, assist families having difficulties financially, medical and evangelistic missions, and needs for children in Third World countries needing medical help which they cannot receive in their country.

At present my brother’s family trust has purchased an Eco-tourist hotel in Ecuador that we are remodeling into a medical mission station. It is situated in the jungle and takes several hours to get there. At present we have a doctor and his wife who is a nurse, two preachers, and four staff from the village. I plan to take a surgical team to the station sometime next year.

In my relaxing time, I paint in acrylics. Mostly they are from photographs I have taken in my travels. Thankfully they sell, which supplies me with additional painting materials.

Sorry, no titles.

In my younger days, my team buddies and i would "visit" an occasional strip club ;) and most of the time the waitresses were hotter than the strippers..lol. Bet you made some kick a$$ tips Tiff. ;)

Wow, the cat with the remote look very lifelike :D . Seriously, very talented. I'm envious.

Was a carpenter. I've been a financial planner for 26 years. In addition I was recently I was talked into a part-time position in local government. The planning has become stressful. The government position is thankless, so it would be great if this RVed. I would quit both and go back into carpentry/woodworking.

Wow...I like the eagles...you are talented! keep up the good work. I love the rose too...very beautiful!!

Wow.....! thanks blondie for starting this. Very interesting to see what everyone does for job and career. Mine started long time ago as a secretary for a local company then moved up in career to be an executive secretary for a French Company, then personal assistant to an influential person. Then, got a proposal for marriage and worked alongside my ex husband for 23 years in real estate sales and investing while being a mother to 4 beautiful children. Currently, I am riding solo and love it. I am doing some consulting work for chemical company to help negotiate their contracts. I love what I do and don't think I am going to change it but I also want to work for God and helping Him build orphanages, dig wells and open a spa/creaitivity center to help people get healthy in spirit, soul and mind (we only have one body and no spare parts). Also to help a few people who are dear to me in an anonymous way. I don't want to work for money anymore but I want my money to work for me so I have choices.. :)

I am the used car manager at a Honda dealership, been in the car business since 1996.. I love my job, but dealing with the public sometimes makes me rethink my career choice lol.. I grew up in the business and from going to work with my dad on Sunday's as a kid i always wanted to follow his foot steps.

LIke the other car guy said, it's a ton of hours but the reward is worth it most of the time. I am really seeing how my dad felt when i was young, i have a newborn daughter at home and i spend 70 hours a week at the dealership. I am sure she will miss me growing up but one day she will realize the sacrifice that i made to make sure that she has everything she needs..

Now if this Dinar would come in i might be home when she takes her first step and say's her first word.

Even when R/V happens i will not stop working but i will not be working nearly as much as i am now.

This is a really cool thread.. great idea
