Has anyone had a dealer or bank ask for your ss or tax id

WHEN PURCHASING DINAR??? I had that happen to me today. i make it a point never to give information like that out.

I've never been asked for mine, but i'm sure when we cash in they will be asking for it for tax purposes. You can pretty much bank on that one.

The last time i bought, my dealer asked for SSN.

I was hesitant and asked what the deal was, as it wasnt asked of me prior.

Was told that they had been instructed by the Treasury to do so. Some new regulation??

I had a dealer ask for my social security number when I ordered Dinar about 5 months. They claimed that if you order a certain amount of Middle Eastern currency, then they need your ss# due to the Patriot Act. The odd thing was that although they advised that they needed my ss# when I placed the order, they forgot to get the ss# when I picked it up. But, they did look at by Driver's License.

per the dealer it is an old regulation. i do know that he was just audited. so i cancelled and placed an order with dt and they didn't ask for it. i know he was audited also. in fact they all are due to the nature of the business. nothing personal to the dealer here, i just have a policy that i don't give it out.

I have never been asked by anyone for my SS but you can bet uncle sam will want to know everything there is to know about you when we cash in. imo

I was advised that 5/3 now require you to open an account before they sell you any Iraqi Dinars.

I don't know about buying dinar but it Its the law to provide your tax I'd number when you open an account with a financial institution. Patriot Act. I work at a bank and customers have no problem with this. If you have more than 10k in for any transaction your social must be provided because a CTR must be completed and sent to the government.
