Obama conference "something big"???

President Barack Obama said Friday Congress has a "unique opportunity to do something big" and stabilize the U.S. economy for decades by cutting deficits even as it raises the national debt limit ahead of a critical Aug. 2 deadline. But, he declared, "We're running out of time." This could be taken in numerous directions. An R/V would defiantly jump start our fragile economy. Any thoughts????

Like me, redwizard's probably drawing his conclusions from the failed policies of this president which point to his (Obama's) obvious disgust with entrepreneurship and a free-market economy. sadly the crackerheads in DeeCee have had a "unique opportunity" to do something big ever since they got there???? They didn't have to wait for an rv to jump start our economy they just need to start. If they had done something like working class men and women have to do every day (work) then maybe so many good folks wouldn't have been so desperate for a rv closure.... just my worthless opinion

It would be to much of a debate to talk about National Debt or the greater good. But, question for you, why don't our congressmen and congresswomen take a pay-cut and help close all these loop holes and wasted spending that been happen for many, many years. You might be really shocked to know how many of us there are! Mostly, I would say it is middle class Americans who share this dream. We are united in this respect.

But let's face it, do we need billions to control and manipulate the world in order to be part of free-market capitalism? I believe the RV for us is less about capitalism and more about opportunities for the wealth of the world to flow into a very deserving class of people - We the People.

I am a progressive. Not afraid to say it. I also believe in free-market enterprise. I own 3 businesses. I am also not afraid to say I stand with our President as he unravels the messes made by ignorant "gimme" capitalists in the past. Not afraid to get bashed on that either. I am part of a military family who believes this same way AND I am an environmentalist. So there you have it. I am part of a huge group like myself. We're not so bad. Really.
