larryc6610
IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers are your source for personal tax help when you believe your tax issue cannot be handled online or by phone, and you want face-to-face assistance. If you need to resolve a tax problem, have questions about how the tax law applies to your individual tax return, or you're more comfortable talking with someone face-to-face, visit your local Taxpayer Assistance Center where you can spread out your records and talk with an IRS representative across the counter. No appointment is necessary - just walk in. If you prefer, you may call a local number (see chart, below) to learn about available and alternate services, and to reschedule appointments with IRS personnel. If you have an ongoing, complex tax account problem or a special need, such as a disability, an appointment may be requested. All other issues will be handled without an appointment. You be the judge. Revalue? IMO has nothing to do with it!
tinnman77
I really don't know either way why they will be open. But they wont come out and say "we will be opening up new offices due to a RV of IQD" So who knows their reasoning may be smoke.

RV?...I dunno, maybe (hopeully!)....open on Satuday this week just to be nice?.....uhhhhhhhh........
DAME1
It could be a way of giving people jobs... It could be a way to raise more money for the government In all of my years I've never seen an advertisement for IRS office openings over the weekend unless it's normal tax time.... RV or no RV I find this strange......
larryc6610
Larry you have no clue what the reason is for, all we can do is sit back and wait its almost here anyhow. This has been befor for the same reason. Last time was in January this year. I don't trust the IRS anymore than anyone else, but do you really think it's to cash out with CASH at a higher rate than a bank ?? According to Okie that may be the reason! Really?
