Ministry allots $400,000 for Iraqis in Lebanon

Erbil, July 1 (AKnews)- Iraqi Migration Ministry has allocated 400,000 US dollar to aid the underprivileged Iraqi families in Lebanon, the minister said today.

Dindar Doski told AKnews a delegation from the ministry who visited Iraqis in the neighboring country has registered 1,000 families to be financially supported by the ministry.

Each family will take up to $400 first and they may be funded again after some months.

Doski added the delegation who has returned from Lebanon today will also visit Jordan for the same purpose.

After 2003 U.S. led war against Iraq and the ensuing political and security crisis in the country, 1,117,000 Iraqi families took refugee in the other countries, most notably to the neighboring countries, official figures by the ministry show.
