34,000 wounded and/or disabled combat veterans have returned home from the war on terrorism. That number grows daily. And with a broken system in place to assist these veterans, they are often left confused, with less than half their previous income to restart their life. This, compounded by the challenges of their combat injuries brings the lives of our Soldiers and their family undeserving hardship. Nine million people populate the state of Georgia and one quarter of those are under 18 years of age. These are youth who need direction and a clear path to real education; not red tape and sleepless nights worrying whether their grades, plus their heritage and the right recommendation letter will get them into a junior college. These are just two of the issues Black Sheep Farms Georgia addresses daily.

Black Sheep Farms Georgia is a veteran founded, veteran ran organization with one mission: continue giving. Black Sheep Farms Georgia has partnered with multiple veteran and youth organizations in order to give back to the ones who gave the most, and to provide a solid foundation for younger generations. Black Sheep Farms Georgia is a working mustang and cattle farm that, with the help of the Boy Scouts and Future Farmers of America supports itself and does not use any part of the donations intended for veterans or youth to pay for its overhead. 100% of donations designated for youth and veterans go directly to those organizations. Contributions to the farm itself must be specified.

We are asking corporations and investors to donate [products or monetary gifts] as a part of their tax deductible 50% adjusted gross income (AGI). This is an efficient way to give back to the veterans and help our youth. Our veterans sacrificed everything for this country and our youth are the future of it. Are those really places to cut corners when it comes to giving back?

Teen girl offers to sell herself for a phone, that story gets 7 replies and stays on page one. But Disabled Veteran from the Iraq war (where all of you got this soon to be new found wealth) uses his MEDICAL RETIREMENT to found a non-profit to help other wounded Veterans and fund Youth programs and he does not get the first reply or even a +/-. It amazes me how blinded some people can be and how soon we forget those who enabled us to be where we are today.
