Some still have doubled, and/or tripled investments, especially over the long term...in Warka, ISX and even the cash holdings....so what's all the B.S. about...if you look at this like any other investment...nothing materializes overnight...IMO..this all sounds like dumpers tactics here to me...hang onto your dinars folks, this thing has'nt materialized yet, for better or worse...but, there are spreads/profits going both ways folks, whether you buy dinars or sell them, just dont forget this...some of these guru's are as tactful in getting you to dump your dinars, as they were getting you to buy into them by the pumping by these same pumpers...Bottom Line: Could the pumpers also be the dumpers as we near the end of this ride?...something to definitely think about it is'nt it?...Why would'nt they do this?....THERE ARE PROFITS!!!

On another note: Why do folks spend the time and energy to worry about and write stuff for hours, on a venture that has'nt even materialized yet, but some of these same folks, or at least plenty of folks that they know, have lost fortunes in the stock markets, banks, 401-k's, etc., etc., etc...and never say much about it....THIS IS SIMPLY RETARDATION!!!

Spot on,really liked last paragraph.

Good post Mike and unfortuanetly absoulute reality.

more snoring....

I have to agree, the only reason I originally invested was because of hyped up imminent RV....I doubt it will ever happen, at this point I will feel lucky to get my money back out of it...but just on the off chance I am wrong, I'll wait another 6 months, then I am done, better to move on to other proven methods of making money.

Thats what you say now. I bet you won't ever sell!

You guys crack me up and so do the people that give you +'s. You all doubt the outcome of this investment based on emotion and following the opinions of idiots that have no idea what they're talking about. I'd be bummed out and ready to pull out by now too.

Give it a break. Either sell and move on or at least just move on to some type of different forum where you can bring people down and depress the hell out of everybody.

I know, I know. This is an opinion forum and this is a free country, blah, blah, blah.

So this is my opinion. Take off eh?

My guess these folks are just now getting their feet wet in the world of investments. If ur afraid of the possible negative results of any investment why bother, it won't always be roses......................................................................GO RV 2011 BABY!!!!!!!

Great post.

How on earth could this be a great post. You people are very strange. if you don't believe, go home!

Good post Mike and unfortuanetly absoulute reality.

I couldn't let this one get by without a swipe.

If this is reality, you better get out before the dinar is worth absolutely nothing.

Oh, and don't tell me it already is. The last time I looked a million dinar was still worth about $1k

TFK, you're making one snide remark after another without bringing anything to the discussion. If you can justify a particular position with supporting evidence, please state it. Not one person has insinuated that the Dinar is worth absolutely nothing. (incidentally, one million Dinar is worth about $853, not $1,000) Nobody is advising anyone to get out of the investment. The re-denomination most are describing would likely result in a small profit for most investors, and more than 300% if they would RV to a rate comparable to that of Kuwait. I haven't seen anyone suggest that there will be a "LOP" in the true sense of the word. Iraq has no reason to lop. But a re-denomination with a simultaneous RV makes a great deal of sense, and is certainly worth considering. It could result in immediate parity with the U.S. Dollar, and more value than all of the surrounding countries, and without a cost of $80-$400 TRILLION DOLLARS. There's no reason to be rude. ;)

Mike, I tend to agree with you, and I gave you a plus for your post because you were courageous to share your very sensible yet contrarian opinion (especially your backhanded comment to the dems -- too funny -- ).

As for me, I've given myself a July 15 drop-dead time frame, and I really do not expect to see an RV/RI. After the 15th, I will be staying away from the boards and living my life as usual, with the expectation that my dinar will increase over time and I'll make a nice profit someday. One thing I know for sure is that this investment is not a scam. :P

AND...I'll say it anyway, with hope..."Goooo RVeeeeee!!!!!!!!" :woot: :woot: :woot:

When did this site become debate driven? Just curious. TFK imo like many of us are tired of the endless "brain surgeon" mentality of some here that think there are rules of engagement for discussions and if the responses don't fit ones criteria they get bashed. Good luck to all &..............................................................................GO RV 2011 BABY!!!!!!

At this point, I would be ecstatic if it lopped.. I'm to afraid to sell my dinar in case it actually rv's, but I am thoroughly sick of wondering if it's gonna hit.. Plus it would be nice to have my 12 g's back!

I would not be ecstatic if they redenominated their currency. You do realize that, if all they do is remove the big bills from circulation and replace them with smaller bills of the same value as the big bills (aka re-denomination) ... that the VALUE of the bill doesn't change, right? I'm only asking because I wouldn't be ecstatic if they did the redenom, unless it was accompanied with the RV ... which I think is what will happen. I think they'll do both.

No other scenario makes any sense when you factor in what we've been seeing in the past few weeks/months. If ALL they do is redenom, their currency will still be worthless, the WTO won't give them full membership, and ZERO progress will be made towards Iraq rebuilding their infrastructure or getting foreign investors to help with that rebuilding effort.

I can understand why the writer feels the way they do, but after reading everything about the huge strides the GOI has been taking towards Iraq becoming a sovereign nation in charge of their own destiny and future ... I really don't think it's wishful thinking that the RV has to happen.

I've been through many dark times, and as poetic as this sounds, I find it to be true that it's always darkest before the dawn. When you want to give up ... THAT is when you have to gather your strength around you, and remain steadfast. I know that this is something I have no control over what so ever, other than my own thoughts and feelings about it, which will remain positive until it's a done deal.

GO RV !!

P.S. If you were to sell your dinar today, you probably wouldn't get all of your 12 gs' back. The buy back is always less than what you sold it for, minus their fee/spread, so you'd probably end up with most of it back.

A redenomination followed by an RV only makes sense for the CBI and GOI if, after it's completed, Iraq possesses enough capital to finance the myriad of projects that are either already negotiated or in the pipeline, as well as future growth opportunities.

Likewise, if, as has been publicly stated, part of Iraq's currency reform process is to give the Iraqi people more purchasing power, how will that happen with a straight RD, or even with a follow on RV? If 25,000 IQD overnight becomes 25 IQD, how will that help the average Iraqi? If you were the Iraqi man in the street, how would you feel about it? The "raising of the three zeroes" only helps the "guys with the green eyeshades" (i.e., the accountants and economists) in the GOI and CBI. It does NOTHING for the average Iraqi.

Perhaps most important, if the goal of the GOI and CBI is to grow so rapidly that, as Hillarious Clinton indicated, they approach China's economic growth rate in two years, in my opinion they won't do so with just an RD, or even a follow on RV. They've got to have a growth accelerator, a catalyst to jump start the process. At this point, only an RV would give that to them.

The scenario you describe above has never happened in the 50 or so RD's that have happened in the last eighty years. I think the idea of a RD/RV scenario was made up on the dinar forums to hold on to a shred of hope as people started to realize they weren't going to become millionaires.

Whoa, you are anti-Democratic party, which is good, but then you say you ran a plant in China. You are the problem. You ran a plant in China. Can not frickin believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course it makes sense! Liberal, anti-capitalistic, anti-free market policies, high taxes, and over-regulation make overseas markets, especially China, very attractive. We have the HIGHEST corporate taxes in the entire world! Put conservatives back in power, and watch what happens. (Note I did not say "Republicans.")

Bottom line, I believe that eventually in will RD so as to be easier to use. That is REALLY the only thing Shabbibi has indicated and maybe, just maybe if they can quell violence, improve their GDP the currency will increase in valuse and you will make up to 300%. Who kniows but one thing i am conviced of after being in this BS pen for a few years is that IT WILL NEVER RV.

Mike thanks for the info. I agree with a lot of it but not all of it. I would consider myself to be in the "Level heads" camp. I am not trying to poke at you but encourage discussion and thought. You mentioned it will never RV but the sentence before said it could raise 300%. Isn't that revaluing? I make this point because the value of a currency is an inexact science from what I can tell. The CBI was at 4000 iqd - $1usd at one time. Made lots of moves and got to like 1400 then 1250 then down to 1170 range. Who said that this was the true appropriate value? It is an arbitrary number in reality that the CBI/Shabs determined fair without any real market determination. It did help promote stability with inflation but I would not say it has helped the Iraqi's other than with inflation would you? It has not helped purchasing power, unemployment, or lending. There are many variables to this and many potential options for outcome.

Iraq has basically become a brand new country in many ways with some past obligations of course. For instance... Foreign currencies are held across the world in "baskets of currency" for individual country reserves. It is rumored that many of these large nations "hold" Iraq Dinar right now. We have no proof of that. What if they don't have any? When the Dinar becomes internationally recognized, as we know it eventually will, then what? Don't you think many countries of the world would want to hold a country's currency that is backed by the 2nd largest reserve of oil and gas in the world? That, coincidentally, has the intention of becoming the vital commerce hub of the entire Middle East for everything not just oil? When that occurred it would seem to me that would take a lot of money right off the money supply. My point is that 27 Trillion Dinar is a ridiculous high number but amounts basically to a value right now of $25 Billion for the most part. That is a ridiculously LOW number in my estimation for all that Iraq offers now... but especially with what Iraq will offer in the very near future.

So... That tells me 1170 isn't the right number but neither is an outrageously high number of $1 - $3+ as the false gurus like to claim. For an example, a 10 cent increase over time with NO LOP would put the M2 value of around $2.7 Trillion, wouldn't it? High... but not outlandish. If the Dinar becomes held across the world in both international reserves as well as investor accounts and in transit through interbank trading, that would effectively reduce the money supply, wouldn't it? Couple that with interest rate changes, reserve increases, bond sales, and you could have a significant reduction from the 27Trillion number. Please correct me if I am wrong. A Lop of the currency would be super easy for sure and would bring credibility and ease of transactions in market. But... what happens when it does? Iraq LOSES the ability for the future growth of the Dinar. If it goes to $1usd - 1 Dinar. How high can it really increase in the future when things take off like a rocket? $3, $4, $20?? My point is...What if 1170 right now is the wrong number? What if it should be 1cent really right now? And then you Lop you just pigeon holed yourself to a false value with limited future growth potential. I think their is a distinct chance that a LOP is the opposite of what Shabs wants but is using it as a tool to make the GOI choose a different outcome. Make it look like the GOI knows more than the CBI. What do you think knowing how Iraqi politics are played?

Good Morning Folks. Hope you are all well. First let me predict that below this post will be the usual people saying I am stupid, why did I invest, Go away if you cant be positive and so on. Usually these are people that have just arrived. I have been invested for years with an above average amount of dinar. Yes I can afford because i owned 2 businesses that were sold in 2007 so no financial worries but like many of you i dream of the many things I could do with a windfall. We all dream, right??? For those of you who are democrats, a business is a way to create jobs and make a living that the government doesnt have to provide.

I have been banned by the best of them for simply voicing an opinion that is not positive in nature and denigrates dinar sales. During my 21 years in business, I managed to build a great engineering firm in Florida and employed over 100 people as well as a manufacturing plant in South China. I have see first hand how currency changes, although small , do to imports and exports. It may seem like $10,000 per container is small but it does effect competitivness.

I began out of forum research and let me tell you it is difficult because as you all know, type in dinar in Google and all the BS surfaces. I decided to go back and build on my contacts from my businesses. I spoke to a currency research VP for BofA first. A long time family friend. His only job is currency research for their customers. Secondly I spoke to 2 of my son in laws middle eastern professors, one of which was contracted to CBI for auditing and bringing them into compliance with global banking, Then my congressman, 3 times, as well as a middle eastern specialist (on radio and TV as well as a government advisor regarding middle east policies. He was the most difficult to get a reply from but finally we exchanged 2 mails. This research took the better part of a year and there was a time that i posted these but all that got me was angry responses. The common OPINION was that it will never happen. It would create hyper inflation soon after RV which would plunge the currecny into a worthless position again.

My thoughts after my research was that all these people who post as, I guess you all call them gurus (dont like that title) were so full of BS applying their mental midgetry to a complex isuue that their posts soon began to show just what idiots they are and what their motives are. Just take a look at Ali. He is gone. Why?? Because he is being investigated by the treasury for insinuating and having a network that promotes the investment in the dinar. A MAJOR INFRACTION!!!! Do you all think that your representitives dont get inquiries pressuring these spineless politicians to move toward investigations.

:>((. Oh well, that is all i will say and its now time for all the pin heads to say how stupid I am. Go ahead say it. When you write worthless insults, its like having an Obama sticker on your car. It speaks volumes about ones intelligence

We are kindred spirits buddy!

I also did my own research and came up with the SAME that you did!! It's a scam through and through that was simply dreamed up by the dinar sellers and pumpers!!

It's a LONG term investment that could take DECADES and only see a 5% or 10% gain! Could be 50% but we know one thing FOR SURE. There is no RV!

EXACTLY! RD simply makes it easier to handle cash trasnactions as it says on the Forex site www.xe.com under the Iraqi dinar. It actually says the value of the dinar will NOT change but for some reason people have the delusion that it will!!

When I bought into the Iwaki Dinar back in 06 my logic told me that the Iwaki's could not help but get rich on their vast oil and gas resources. In the back of my mind the one big dark shadow over the investment was knowing that Arab countries are backward and their logic didn't seem to contain the kind of rational that I expected from western thinking(no Mr Spock in the mix).

Never the less I continued to aquire more Dinar in hopes that reason would prevail and the Dinar would and could still appreciate in value inspite of the caotic muslim culture. The Iwaki's are sitting on one of this planets greatest sources of sweet easy to get crude with very little environmental concern not to mention their natural gas resources.

I believe that any window of opportunity will exist only as long as US forces remain in Iwak. The deep divisions between Sunnis and Shites as well as tribal and cultural differences have been and will forever be the biggest obstacle for the people of Islam to over come as we have witnessed the never ending squabble between Alawi and Maliki.

Reasoning that the USA would not pull out of Iwak in a disasterous fashion as we had done in Vietnam, I figured that the odds of a tremendous return on the Dinar investment was about 50/50! Looking at many other investments did not look to be as promising as the Dinar so I quietly hung on and watched this investment from the sidelines.

Now with 2 to 3 milion people onboard, I have seen this, what was a secret little investment, turn into the most chaotic million ring circus I have ever known! Day by day the stories get more fantastic the people who claim that it is done, the nasty comments and hard feelings on the websites are truly disheartening. I am saddened that it has become such a mess, with he said she said, that finding any truth has become almost impossible!

The Arab people have long suffered from dictators and really bad leaders who have robbed them blind and dope the population with Islamic retoric to keep their power. The democratic experiment in Iwak is just that! an experiment. In order to form a more perfect union, a nations people must be Iwaki's or American or Japanese or whatever first and Sunni's or Shite's or Kurds second. I believed that the Iwaki's could come together with all of the attention that the world is pouring on them, helping them along, to smell the coffee, wake up, climb out of their primative hole and get down to business.

I have become numb to the stories now that swell on the internet. A friend called me last night and said that the person known as Athena was confirming that it was done(again) and that they (some group) were popping open the champaign to celebrate the RV/RD or whatever... I hope they are dealing with the hang overs well with no real reason to celebrate!

So where do we go from here.... no GOI, no HCL, DFI funds released not released, chapter 7 still in force or not in force? another drop dead date, rates from .10 to $17! The intel stories, the bank stories, the boots on the ground, the limo drivers, the friend of a friends email. I suggest that no one, not even our illustrious site leaders really know when or if the Dinar will RV/RD since the Iwaki's themselves don't know either!

It seems to be a case of the blind leading the blind!

I will hang on and hopefully the Iwaki's get it together before US forces are gone. I have no faith that the Iwaki's can or will be able to function as a flegling democracy after our troops leave and chaos prevails! I still believe there is a 50/50 chance that this investment can produce a handsome return and I will continue to have my ups and downs as the days and weeks roll on, but I am looking for an out to keep my options open.

I wish everyone good luck with this investment and hope that we can come together with more respect for eachother and treat this investment as a mature decision to speculate on wealth rather than a mud slinging contest that it seems to have turned into.

GT ACE, who is Iwaki??

LOL..Nevermind.

Well there is no RV of the Iwaki dinar. If you want to wait years and dedades for a small return that's fine but there is no massive increase in the IQD exhange rate with an RV. That's a total scam dreamed up by dinar sellers/pumpers.
