Popular Post Gibbs427
First, let me say that I thought very hard before writing my story and decided that it might help prevent this from happening to someone else and therefore, needed to be told. Second, I'm placing this in the "rumor" section because there is no link to be provided, it's a personal experience and without a link or an article, I cannot claim it under any other topic heading. Third, due to the odds of my encounter, I feel it was meant for me to bring this to light for all to read. Late last Wednesday night, I found myself in the ER of my local hospital, undergoing some tests. In a cubicle across from me there were some people gathered around a young man that, from what I learned, had been in a pretty bad car accident earlier that day. The young man's parents and older sister were there and I couldn't help but overhear what they were saying. The mother was in understandable emotional distress and was making comments about "money isn't worth it" and, the sister said something that made my hair stand on end. She said "i'll burn that F@&&$&% dinar". I was dumbfounded and nearly numb by what I had just heard and was nothing less than stunned for the next few minutes. My son came in just a bit later and when I told him what I had heard, he told me that he had struck up a conversation with the young man's sister earlier, out in the waiting area. He told me what she said had happened to her brother earlier that day. The young man was involved in a car accident when he ran a red light at an intersection WHILE SPEEDING ON HIS WAY TO THE BANK! He was rushing to the bank to send a wire transfer for the purchase of more dinar AFTER reading some "inside info" on the internet!!! My son and I are both stunned by the story told by the sister of this young man. To realize what this dinar that is supposed to bring joy to everyone invested has brought to the family of that young man who now lies in the hospital. The pain that they are now subject to by this event and the root of it being that this young man is truly the victim of of lies or propaganda put forth on the internet by some callous piece of excrement that has no concern for the damage they have cause. Could this be a result of what the "gurus" or "pumpers" spew everyday, I really do not know but, it certainly seems so. I do not know the name of the family except for the sister, Julie and the young man, Eddie. I will not give hospital information, that family is suffering too much already. Again, I felt compelled to write about my experience, hoping that maybe, JUST MAYBE it can help to prevent someone else from a similar situation and pain. Bash if you must, I really don't care because if you are a basher, this event obviously wasn't meant to help you. In closing, I put this out there to all the gurus & pumpers (you know who you are), IF what caused that families pain & suffering was the result of something YOU put out on the internet, God knows about it and you cannot ever escape THAT! TheUnspoken
While I respect your experience. This information will only get to a handful of people that truly need to see it and even then it will only truly have a positive effect on a couple of them. Greed is a powerful weapon. I feel bad for people that are so stricken by debt or out of work that every dime they have is pouring into this on the chance that it will RV big and they can save themselves and their family members. Not meant to bash, I just see the reality in things. This world is greedy and will attempt to save 5 seconds if they can or attempt to make that extra $10,000 by running a red light. Silliness.
Popular Post Legolas
It sounds legit, and I think it's safe to assume that thousands of people (if not more) have rushed to the bank, or to their keyboards to order more Dinars based solely on the so-called "intel" of the pumpers and liars. Cases like the one described by Gibbs are likely rare, but not difficult to believe. When I first boarded this ride several years ago, like many others, I spent way too much time in the chat rooms. I can tell you first hand of several members who were said to have died of heart attacks during that time, when the RV was also "imminent," as it has been hundreds of times since. Claiming that the deaths were caused by the stress of the RV circus might be a stretch, but many believed that they were. Many members left the sites as their homes were foreclosed upon, cars repossessed, jobs lost, etc. as they waited desperately for the RV which was to occur "at any moment." You can't help but wonder what ultimately happened to them. Undoubtedly many people purchased more than they could afford to lose and never expected conditions to deteriorate to that degree. Others bought only small amounts, hoping to make enough on the "imminent" RV to get them out of a hole. Needless to say, it was painful to watch. More than once many of us sent money thru PayPal to members in bad situations, hoping that in a matter of days or weeks things would improve. Obviously it hasn't happened, and it's been more than 3 years for me......much longer for others. I haven't watched the carnage of the chat rooms for a long time now, but I'm certain that the drama continues. Make no mistake, the pumpers/liars have done a lot of damage over the years, and will undoubtedly continue to do so. Best advice......don't be a victim, and do what you can to protect others from mistakes you might have made yourselves.
pwball14
Unfortunately a sad situation, but it is no different then those who drink and drive thinking they are the ones who can handle it, or the drug users who think they are not hurting anyone. Until someone close to the family is hurt by their actions it will not hit home with them. My prayers go out to those who are dealing with this young mans life, and to the gurus and pumpers who believe they have the right to tell their lies. wishwell11
I do hope you do not get bashed for sharing your opinion. I would be so discouraged by the lack of empathy and ethics. This scenario is very tragic and I'm sure with over 4 million invested and climbing..many more variations of the same. There are people who have not only rushed to buy more dinar on the trash marketing techniques, but existing dinar holders who have been diverted from their business and personal activities via the lies. I know a group of seniors who some lost a lower interest loan and a buyer of a home having believed the results of an intel confirmed date and rate. With over 3 million US citizens owning dinar, I'm sure there are many more tragic stories. IMO, This investment was and still is still solicited to specifically target the average person citizen and not the professional. That is evident just by reading the dealers, hubs and boards. IMO hand-slapping due diligence disclaimers after the Gotcha, simply isn't sufficient. What message or examples are further required to make the lies stop...Countries are attempting to fight corruption, SEC is expanding on fighting corruption. Laws are made against it, Government officials loosing their jobs over lies, Educational Institutions teach against it and Religion speaks against falsehoods. If one doesn't practice ethics or religion, there are certainly laws to address perjuries and boundaries of deliberate outright lies. To those who imply through subtle wordplay, are equally guilty of those who are blatantly cruel, lacking in ethics and coldly self serving. af4mi
Solid post. Remember, pumpers and cheerleaders aren't the problem, only those that think this is a lottery ticket are responsible. Investment versus lottery...there's a big difference. Thousands of percent appreciation...I hope so, but don't buy it......200-500% increase...more reasonable. Caveat emptor....... 2

Sam T
Based on the story above. Any time we get information we should discern what to do with it. Now saying that nobody told him to speed. With that foul mouth of his makes you wonder about his attitude and did he put himself in that position? I pray that he heals physically as well as spiritually. wookie
Thank you Gibbs for sharing and yes, it is very sad indeed. I pray the young man will recover. I have always been so dead set against a rumors section. It's utter nonsense and only serves a negative purpose. It's useless and I wish the entire section would be removed....along with most of the so called guru's.
Bongalow
It is what it is....... You cant fix stupid !! I hope both you and the boy are well.. Moral of the story is.... Stop buying dinar!!! Period.. Unless you like throwing your rent money down the tubes, and if you do buy, purchase from a bank and do not make the pumpers or site owners any extra money, and lets see how greedy and stupid these "rumors"="LIES" come to pass!! Good Luck on your endeavor!!

drox
Honestly that is what I love about this site. Adam and the mods allow everyone to share their views and it has brought a semblance of balance. Years ago many of these sites had little balanced perspective other than pumper gurus. Now there seems to be a much more grounded approach from everyone at least on this site and I am glad. IMO... It is always better to make financial investment decisions after viewing it from all sides. As Legolas so aptly pointed out... people in the past had such a rush to purchase and then, consequently, such a hard emotional let down that we saw bad things happen. People chose Dinar over rent or mortgage payments. People sat on the sidelines waiting for the RV instead of finding work. Divorces came from the obsession. Chat was full of foreclosure talk yet people had $10k worth of Dinar sitting at home. I have really high hopes for this investment but way different than what I consider the crazy numbers thrown out. Doesn't mean I am right but that my research has revealed an entirely different outcome. So, I try to help folks understand things from a different light and from more grounded perspective to aid in their research. Sometimes that means going toe to toe with a guru to expose something I know is painting a false picture. There are many on here that share that same philosophy. We are not negative at all but concerned for others that overly invest or think it is a can't miss investment. We are just rooted and have removed the guru goggles to see the truth. By exposing the truth or other perspective... you will have the ability to figure out the most logical outcome. Remember...Guru's are not motivated by monetary interests in 90% of the cases. They are motivated by the audience. The fact that you hang on their every word and hold them in such high regard. The motivation is that they can become someone/something very different than what exists in their normal life. That is the power of the ego and sometimes it has devastating results. That is why Blodgets and Madoffs exist in this world.
Jim1cor13
Thank you Gibbs for sharing and yes, it is very sad indeed. I pray the young man will recover. I have always been so dead set against a rumors section. It's utter nonsense and only serves a negative purpose. It's useless and I wish the entire section would be removed....along with most of the so called guru's. Hi wookie Thank you. Many of us have tried to discourage people running to the rumors section, but it is futile to do so. They are lies, always lies, and the fruit of those lies I have spoken of often. But, just look and see where the most traffic filters to on this site, and it will be rumors. Those that warn about them, get the game of red marks, those that hang on their every word often do not realize how they are the target of manipulation. Many here are still running out and buying almost weekly, why? because we have yet another "date" bouncing around and they want all they can get before the end of the month. This will have to come to a stop at some point. Is it truly that difficult to understand why there are constant rumors and lies being posted? Is it truly that difficult to understand the reason for those lies? Look at the fruit, nothing good, other than the dealers are laughing all the way to the bank, and do not think for one moment that those same dealers who made a world of promises to you their customer, would not drop you in a heart beat if it were to their advantage, or after they make that last million on a few who got suckered in via rumors, lies and outright fabrication. So we continue to say "rumors are for entertainment". This is a lie, and those that spread them, also assist those that scam and pump, the after affects is self evident...entertainment huh? So far for how many years, it has worked like a charm...and I suspect it will continue to do so out of sheer greed and desperation. Once the liars KNOW the desperation, then it becomes a frenzy, and we are about to embark on another frenzy coming up in about another week, it is Dec. 2010 all over again, and it will have the same results. But just think...all those sales once again, all those referrals, it must be shaping up to be quite a banner year once again for all those involved. What a shame and although it is easy to shrug this off and blame those who have no control, the bigger shame is that each day, the same folks behind the scene get away with yet another round of drive by lying, and they know for certain they have a wiling audience, no matter what site it is...rumors are the main traffic generator...generating traffic also increases dealer exposure, the rest is evident. I personally have never understood the need for them, if this speculation needs that kind of support, than I suggest we all step back awhile and think why this would be. Facts of the situation DO NOT generate enough sales, it does not get the frenzy effect that is desired. Yes, we are watching another Dec. 2010 event right before our eyes...and I doubt the results will be any different...already one can read how "backed up" the dealers are....why is this? it all works like clock work doesn't it? It is very sad indeed, each must take responsibility for their actions, but I fear we need to begin to also understand what is feeding this beast will only get worse, *if* we allow it to. It has become a circus. But that circus has sure been great for business and will continue to be so at far too much expense, in more ways then one. Thank you Gibbs for sharing that account. I do not think it would be stretching the truth to say this goes on almost daily, not the car wreck part, but the greed, the fruit of the lies that feed it, and the pain this has caused many people who have spent just about all they had thinking they would be 'millionaires' over night. It is simply turning into a very sad situation and a bitter game. Thanks also to all the comments regarding this, and the voice of support. Legolas, appreciate your thoughts always my friend. I do hope we wake up, but the longer it goes, the worse it is likely to get, and few really care about anyone but themselves, sadly. This also is the result and fruit of greed. Have a peaceful weekend everyone, take time to step away from the computer and enjoy your loved ones. No need to allow this circus to consume you. All my best! GustavDB
I hope for a speedy recovery for that young man, before they throw his ass in jail. That's what's going to happen and I hope he stays the hell away from our streets. What kind of excuse would "i read about bad Intel" be if the accident had killed somebody? Don't trust the pumpers, take responsibly for your own actions. 1
Kooper
Gibbs, Gave you a +. If this story makes one person stop and think about their actions, then it worked. Remember people....this is an investment...there is a risk involved. This could end up with all of us losing our investment ( I sure hope not and firmly believe in the RV!) With that in mind, you should only invest what you can afford to lose...just like when you go to the casino.... I made my investment three years ago and have not purchased any since. I made the decision on how much I was willing to invest and left it at that...regardless of how much "Pumping" I hear. That was my decision. If you want to continue to invest in this and can afford to....good for you. Putting this investment in front of your family or obligations is reckless and just plain dumb. pleasantvalleySunday
Gibbs427 --- I've been worried about you since the other night in chat! Now I know where you went to --- but are YOU ok???? I too am saddened to hear of your overheard conversation --- and while I hate that people are sometimes so gullible they swallow any and all rumors as if they were the truth --- I have to wonder if the young man you described doesn't drive the way he did on other occasions as well ... we've all experienced the other car that seems to be in far to big of a hurry for the conditions (traffic). I humbly submit that imo most of the experiences we have in life are meant to teach us something --- often the lesson goes unheeded --- as often even if we seek for the lesson it remains somewhat elusive. Perhaps there are a myriad of lessons we can glean from this experience. I do NOT believe you have to live the experience to learn from it Blessings and good health to you Gibbs427 --- and to the young man as well. pvS
Mongo
Very Sad indeed, on two counts that this person ended up in hospital, prayers go out to him and his family second, that some misguided people would lay the responsibility of this accident in the lap of the Guru's and pumpers. this is the same mentality that wants to ban guns(guns don't kill people, people kill people) ACCOUNTABILITY is a word people want to forget. who caused this person to wreck? ........he did, not the guru's who is responsible for your actions?........................you are WHAT"S THIS COUNTRY COMING TOO 5
