Lower Denoms

My husband works in Iraq and has for the past 7 years. We, as much as anyone, would love this RV to happen so that he could come home and not have to worry about providing for our family. We have been in this investment for the 7 years he has been working there and have waited and watched, just like everyone else, hoping to hear some good news about this. I come to DV every day, several times a day reading the news and rumors, chats and opinions of others. Very few people do i put any stock in because as we all know... every week someone has talked to someone at a bank or has boots on the ground info that never seems to pan out. My husband travels alot but stays very busy on base and gets very little time to talk to the locals. He can usualy confirm or debunk rumors that I tell him I read on the site and it helps me on who I listen to and what I put stock in. With all this being said.... I recieved an e-mail from him yesterday I wanted to share with you. I have read about the lower denoms but knowing this is something that my husband himself saw, and a small coversation he had, I feel really positive about it. I KNOW it is fact..... but please put into it as much as your heart can afford. If he hears anything else or has a change to get a picture or anything else that you would concider Solid.... I just saw the ever elusive small denom dinar they are on the street in crisp clean new paper. I laid eyes on a 1, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, 100 dinar note. The Iraqi that had them said they were as he put it same same with us dollar. He also had a 1000,10.000, and a 25.000. He said he was saving them for cash in as they have started trying to collect them all at the banks. The Iraqi said they would be "once again as he put it", lot money same same as USD. I asked him if a lot of Iraqi still had the big denoms and he said most were to poor and had to use them to live off of and when they get paid again it is with the small bills. Sounds like they really are getting close to doing this; Now you have some real boots on the ground info.

Now this is a great rumor. By all means if he can get a picture of these notes, please post it here for us. Tell your husband we appreciate his service for country and his boots on the ground info.

Those aren't the missing denominations that I've been told about but I appreciate the information. When I read your post I had to check your profile to make sure you aren't some quack or pumper. From what I read you sound legit and have even called people out on their suspicious intel which I was glad to see. Looking forward to your follow up.

If there are 25000 notes in circulation along with the smaller denoms then it doesnt seems like a LOP to me. Could not the citizens of Iraq just turn in the 25k notes for the lower denoms? If a LOP were to happen wouldnt they LOP before releasing the lower denoms into circulation?

I don't come here often, but lately I have been because of all the news/hype, etc. Anyway, could someone please explain why the release of smaller denoms is a positive thing for us dinar investors (i.e. an imminent RV)? Maybe I have missed previous posts regarding this, so please forgive me if I am asking a redundant question, but I can't seem to relate the two; at least not logically. Not bashing, just wanting some serious clarification. I woud appreciate any feedback so thanks in advance for your consideration!

Pro1... I would have thought it could mean LOP too but the man told my husband that they were tring to hold on to them because they would be "lots money... same as USD". We can only wait and pray!

Gang, IMO even if it would somehow LOP, this investment will profit. Now if your idea of profit is 3-8 = 1 USD then, your reaching for the stars but profit as in making more than what you had will definitely happen...IMHO.

Interesting... If this is all "legit" the previous "soon" we have been hearing may be very much coming to an end.

You seem very genuine with your statement. Your not a newb poster, and Scooby Doo has already done some due diligence in checking into your history.

With all that said, I firmly believe that you are posting what you believe to be true. If by any means that this is likely false - I would link that to the person who showed your husband the notes. Could be a citizen over there getting off by misinforming a person.

I cross my fingers this is for a positive outcome.

Thank You so very much... Lower denoms mean RV. The Iraqi man said dollar for dollar, that means no LOP. They have to have the lower denoms to conduct day to day business if one dinar is equal to one USD. You could'nt buy a loaf a bread and some milk that cost $5 with a 25K dinar note now worth 25,000 USD. Thanks, Rockinbagdad.

you may want to ask hubby if possible to verify if the ATM's are loaded with smaller denoms if he has a chance to observe someone withdrawing funds or if they are guarded as well !!

Maybe I am pushing the logic as its what I want to conclude..... but it doesn't sound at all like a LOP. Perhaps I am reading in to this, but when it says:

I would wonder why he was "saving" them as opposed to just going in and getting new lower denoms. Because its not a LOP.... wouldn't he e saving them for the RV so when he takes them in to exchange, he would get 25 thousnad dinar in small demonimations. Why else would he be "saving" it.... for what purpose?

It seems that there is a simultaneous process maybe? That the larger bills will carry face value, and will be honored as such, and at the same time, the CBI will be introducing the lower denoms, with the plan to eventually take the currency to a more managable place (fewer zeros) as Iraq continues to prosper?

Not sure if that is fiscally possible, but seems that both things could be occurring and if anything, our biggest issue would be making sure to cash in within some kind of tim frame in preserving the face value of what is held?

This is good news assuming it is accurate. This means lower denom can be used to purchase items that previously required higher denoms. Simply put let's say they have to spend 2,000 dinar to buy a loaf of bread. For example purposes let's say the dinar revalued at 1 to 1 basis with the USD and no lop. Now it cost 2 dinar to buy that same loaf of bread.
