My Wells Fargo experience of the day

Hi everyone, I posted this in rumors because I think that the upper level exec's in the banking industry truly knows what the heck is going on and the lower level people are simply mushrooms (keep them in the dark and feed them s**t). But anyway I visited a local Wells Fargo office in central Texas and went straight to a investment agent. She invited me into her office and closed the door because she knew that I was wanting to talk about my investment in foreign currency. I told her that I was in procession of a substantial amount of Iraqi Dinar and wanted to see if her bank knew about the impending RV/RI and where they stood as far as opening an account and exchanging to the US dollar. She told me that she had heard about the dinar and had several other customers ask about information on the dinar but had no real knowlege to pass on. So she call her foreign currency manager in Houston to ask if he had anymore insight into the dinar she had only said the word Iraqi to him when he said to her that the view of Wells Fargo is that they will not give out information, deal with, or have anything to do with the iraqi dinar due to all the scams involved with the dinar and for legal reasons then finishes the call on another subject. Now I did not hear what he told her but that is what she told me all the while with a big smile. So we end our meeting with her saying that in another branch not to far away that even more people were saying the same thing about the dinar and she was putting in referrals (not sure what she meant about imputing referrals but also stated that if it did happen that it would be very big). So this Wells Fargo in central Texas says that they will not have anything to do with the dinar due to all the scams surrounding the dinar. I explained to her that this is actual currency and is a very real investment when this RV/RI happens and the only thing that could be a scam is if the tender was sold as a counterfeit currency so this cant be a scam. It sounds like this Wells Fargo is going to miss out unless their is another angle that the banks are working. Sorry for the lame news. GO RV :D :D :D

Funny, I went to my Branch Manager several months ago and spoke with her about the Dinar. She knew about it and told me I could cash in with no additional charges, yes there will be the bank mark up but that is it. They will have photos of the currency on site as they do with all currencies. If it looks goods and all the markings are there, they cash you in. If it looks suspicious, they sent it to Portland Ore. This is a Wells Fargo Branch.

I called the main office of wells fargo in San Fran today, and spoke with their exotic currency exchange specialist...I was inquiring about what locations if any had de la rue machines...she told me that when the dinar became of more value, and I was ready to cash in...that their policy did not need a de la rue machines, that they use a book to verify several security features on the notes...and if all looks good, they will indeed exchange then for USD...and deposit it into your account. She stated that wells fargo had no machines at ANY of their locations in the states at this time! And because of policy...using the book, they did not intend on having any! When asked if she could give me any info on the pending RV/RI, she stated that someone at her level would not be made aware of any info of that nature until it (RV/RI) happened! Then, I contacted a local branch in central indiana (Rushville) and spoke with the branch mgr., she stated pretty much the same thing, except said that she felt that if any machines were to be installed...or if the RV/RI did happen and would be effecting their branch..that she thought that the bank would only give her a days notice! She also had no info on the dinar, and stated that I was the first person that had questioned her concerning it. She got my number off the caller id, and asked if she could call me back next week...that their foreign currency advisor that handles that branch was actually located in Ft. Wayne IN, and she could set up an appt for him to come to the branch and meet with me! She stated that I could open an account, and as the main office in Cali. Had told me...that they use the book to verify...and would be able to have the funds into my account before I left the branch after the meeting! Post RV of course.

i noticed on a lot of these bank rumors when the bank personel is telling the customer something negative, or act like they don't have a clue, or on the phone with some one in another department they smile at the customer. now this is a profession where customer service is a big thing. what do they expect the emplyee to do? frown at them, use negative facial expressions, or maybe flip them the middle finger? just sayin'....... :o

Thanks for the info hoosier1470. When I got my first million back in 06 I decided to take it to a currency exchange business at the Ala Moana mall and asked if my currency was real. The lady opened up a currency book and verified that the IQD (25k notes) were real. I think most (if not all) banks have this "currency book" which shows in detail the different security features.

The Wells Fargo HSBC Trade Bank, the only nationally chartered bank in the U.S. exclusively devoted to international trade,

The now disbanded US-led occupation authority gave HSBC, Standard Chartered and the National Bank of Kuwait permission last year to open in Iraq. But violence has set back plans to open branches, and HSBC does not yet have operations in Iraq.

HSBC has been in talks with Dar Es Salaam since at least July 2004.

“We are very close to concluding an agreement,” said David Hodgkinson, CEO of HSBC Bank Middle East.
