So what you are saying is that it is ok to post positive crap but not negative truths? :P

Nooooo ... I think what we are saying is that you have the right to say anything you want, express any opinion you want, but do it with courtesy, not with nasty language and violent innuendo. There is a great big difference. And if you don't know the difference, visit a dictionary site and look it up.

Be nice and tell us what you want to say. Do not feel you have to shout it, or use foul language, or denigrate someone for their own opinion. You can say you do not agree without telling someone they must have their head stuck up their @ss ... get it?

Now, go and practice.

:)

You have been a member of this site for 1 month  and you think you have the right to tell people expressing their opinions to "shut up"? Maybe another site might be better for you!

Telling someone to "shut up", in my opinion, is beyond rude regardless of the time of their membership. Even if you've been here from the first day... it's still rude. From what I've seen, it seems like it's either the newbies who are rude or a few of the members who have been here for a while. Why... I have no idea.

To this day, when I disagree with someone I try to remember the one word that was taught to me as a young airman when I was in the Air Force and that's "TACT". Tact = a keen sense of what to do or say in order to maintain good relations with others or avoid offense. Some situations make it hard to use tact but if you do, in the long run, you'll have more friends than enemies.

Hey peeps. Just read all these posts. They get nasty. I am not much better. We do not like criticism. Now, imagine, if you had these conversations face to face - think you would choose your words a little better, especially if you were talking to Babe Ruth (ever see the size of my hands)

Just a quick note to all of you who insist on negative posts, and negative responses to posts. Please just keep your mouth shut. If you are not here because there is opportunity here, then don't hang out here. If you are going to post something that refutes information in a topic, there are plenty of ways to correct folks that are on the wrong track without bashing or being negative. I am here because of an opportunity - Opportunity is a positive. If you are not hanging out for opportunity, then keep your negativity for yourself, or for your household.

We are ALL here FOR the opportunity, however, telling folks to shutup won't win you any friends. Opportunity is not always positive, outcomes may vary. I am still positive about this investment, But that does not mean someone who may have lost faith in the rv cannot base their opinion on the site also. At least for awhile this IS the United States of America, where we have freedom of speech, at least for awhile I hope. I don't like the negative articles any more than anyone else. BUT, you do control your mouse, click it or don't click it.

People have the right to voice their opinions whatever they may be. Sorry if you don't agree.

What we have is the right to voice opinion within the guidlines as set forth by our host, Adam Montana. If you have not read these rules, here they are at your fingertips. All member should have read them by now, but it becomes glaringly obvious that that just isn't the case.

So here for your edification, are the rules and guidelines:

DinarVets Forum Rules

Overall Community Attitude

  • Keep in mind that DinarVets is a family, and a community.
  • Our purpose is to share, help and support others.
  • Always display a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Be respectful of others' opinions.
  • Allow your fellow members to voice their opinions.
  • DO NOT deliberately start arguments. Debates are great, as long as they remain respectful!
  • Always try to "give" back to our community. For each time you find help or answers here at DinarVets, try to help someone else out in return. You may find that what goes around comes around...
  • Give people a little time to respond to your requests. There's a lot going on in these forums and it may take a little time for people to notice and respond to your request. Please be patient.
  • DO NOT just make a negative statement and leave the person hanging out to dry. Although you may consider yourself to be an "expert" now, try to remember that we were all new and learning once upon a time. Take it easy on your fellow members!
  • Do NOT make threats or implied threats towards other members -- even if you think it's fun.

Inappropriate behavior

  • DO NOT Make Inappropriate or Offensive Posts - including threats, harassment, swearing, prejudice, slander or deliberate insults/name-calling, or other negative remarks about DinarVets, its moderators and administrators, or your fellow members. Even if this is just your own personal opinion, RESPECT YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS
  • Do NOT drag another member's personal site into a forum discussion unless the member brings his or her own site into the discussion first.
  • DinarVets believes in integrity and respects what other forums have to offer. Because we realize members of DinarVets may also be members of other forums, do not try to degrade or discredit other forums, their administrators and moderators, or their members. This includes slander and other offensive comments.
  • DO NOT POST PORN or adult content. This also includes sites promoting activities such as drug abuse, gambling and links to sites containing such content.
  • Even though this is an international forum, please make sure that your posts are written in English.
  • We want DinarVets to be open to people of all ages, genders, races, and sexualities, so any inappropriate or offensive posts will be deleted
  • Please DO NOT embed cookies in your posts in the DinarVets forums.

Forum Abuse Policy:

  • 1st Offense - A polite Private Message from a Moderator pointing out the Forum Rules, in addition to the editing or deletion of the post
  • 2nd Offense - Public warning on the message board plus deletion of post
  • 3rd Offense - Moderators will discuss and possibly delete the user from the DinarVets forum

Depending on the situation, Admin may bypass any and all of these steps and take whatever action is deemed appropriate.

Private Message and Email Abuse Policy:

  • DO NOT use DinarVets as a basis for spamming or scamming our members.
  • We take PM/email abuse very seriously, and it will result in the immediate removal of your membership and ban of your IP address, without warning

  • We do not spam our links on other boards – do not mention other dinar sites here. Only post links to LEGITIMATE NEWS SOURCES.
  • Please refrain from posting affiliate links and press releases in our forums.
  • Surveys are not allowed, unless you have been given permission in advance from a Site Admin
  • Do NOT use the DinarVets community for the purpose of 'spam' or excessive advertisements! This includes forum posts, private messages, or emails to other DinarVets members
  • NO Conference Call, Scheduled Chats, OR SITE ADVERTISING/POSTING/SHARING ETC WITHOUT MY PRIOR APPROVAL.
  • Our moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any posts they consider to be 'spam'.
  • If we find that you are spamming our community, you will be warned by a Moderator or Site Admin, and it may lead to the deletion of your posts and/or the removal of your DinarVets account

Identity Theft

  • DO NOT impersonate anyone whom you are not, regardless of who the other individual may be. Identity theft is illegal and will not be tolerated.

Multiple Posts

  • DO NOT post the same topic in multiple forums. If you are unsure of which forum a thread should go under, just state that in your post, and a moderator will move the thread to the correct forum. Multiple posts are unnecessary and will be deleted.
  • DO NOT post the same question multiple times in multiple threads in the same forum. If no one responds to your question or request, just post a reply to the same message thread again to bring the message to the top of the list so folks notice it.

Posting Restrictions:

Different perspectives and opinions are what makes our world go around. It is how you react to them that determines their validity in your own mind. :D:D

I just have to share my two cents also....

TwoCents.jpg

Smee2: You have explained the method that we must use in stating our opinions so very well except the abrasive part.

It is not so much WHAT we say, but HOW we say it and HOW we make those around us feel about it. True? TRUE !!!

If we have hurt others by what we have said or make them not want to express their feelings again then

we have not spoken well at all. We can never speak with a barbed tongue but always speak in a calm, careful, courteous,

and respectful way. Thank you so much for the useful part of your expressions.

Everyone: Let us work hard to show respect to each other ALWAYS in this Forum as we are instructed to do and thereby

show proper respect for the one who gave this Forum to us.

REMEMBER: TACT is where it is at !!! I know we are all getting anxious. I personally have been waiting since early in 2005,

so I really do understand, but the reward will be so sweet.. Thank You for listening and let us try real hard!

Blessings and have a wonderful week.

People have the right to voice their opinions whatever they may be. Sorry if you don't agree.

It is not their opinions as to what was said, it is the way those opinions are brought forth and grown up people should know the difference. I am willing to bet that the way some of these rebuttals or opinions would not be presented face to face with the opposer without grave consequences. What you think.

Self righteous posts are as bad as negative posts.

It isn't about bashing...as much as it is that people aren't respectful of how or what they say. Everyone has an opinion, and often give it even when the others don't truly want it. HOW you share your thoughts is really what becomes the issue that offends someone else too often. Just my observations. $.02

The "Opinons, Rumors, ..." section is really nothing more than a "Hey, I'll post to try and share.....go ahead, be ready to bash and be a jerk to me" section TOO OFTEN. :( Yep, I'm sure this post like others, will get -1 from those who can't handle realizing how they act demeaning to others. Real big people there, slam & bash, all while hiding behind the internet.

Kind of a negative post, don't you think?

The definition of TACT I was taught was,.".To be able to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they would be looking forward to the trip! "

LISTEN UP ... please ...

It is not a matter of expressing opinion. We are all free to do so.

It is a matter of HOW you express that opinion. Try doing it with the respect you want when someone addresses you and your posts. Try doing it with the courtesy you would want if we were expressing our opinions to your family or loved ones.

When you can express your opinions with respect and courtesy, you go to it guys, and say whatever you want ... but say it nice. We are not here to bash, and there are rules against it. You have been fortunate not to have your privileges yanked right out from under you for the horrible and nasty remarks you continually direct to people who have expressed their opinions in a calm, careful, courteous, and respectful way.

So There!

Now ... GROW UP! ... please

You get out of the world anything that you fight to put into the world - To all of the confused people who discussed their perceptions of what I said, instead of what was actually said - Let's try it one more time: There are more constructive ways to disagree, show another angle, or discuss distrust. Having a constructive opinion/input is entirely different from the "Bashing" I've seen here.
