5:19 pm [okie_oil_man] I want to assure each of you reading this post the r/v has occured. It is my understanding that the international bank of settlement in switzerland is now in charge and it is completely out of iraq–the world bank–the un–the unsc–the usa and any other entity’s hands and will occur at will with those in charge.the rate is set and thru the new basil 2 system will launched. The gov shut down or at least the threat of a shutdown is to have an effect on when the launch will happen

We only wait for the initiation to begin. It can occur at any moment but the most important thing to absorb is the fact that it is done. Period. Whether today-tommorrow or even next week is out of our control but take solace and comfort that it is done.–we wait–impatience will not expedite the launch and we are at the mercy of the elements so to speak.

As far as the exact moment in time we can speculate till the cows come home and we only put ourselves in a tizzy by doing so. Just relax knowing it is complete and is as so often stated—-close (i hate that word) but there are no other way to put it. It will not do any good asking childish questions to me as i do not know all the inner workings necessary to make the event happen. I only know–i am absolutely sure–i know without a shadow of a doubt it has occured.

As a Bank Auditor I want to confirm that Basel II refers to the minimum amount of capital that a bank is required to maintain. For example if the minimum requirement for a bank is 10%, then that bank has to maintain 10% of its average assets. So if the bank's balance sheet shows an asset balance of $1billion, then that bank is required to have $100million in equity. There are some small adjustments to arrive at the ending balance, but this is a simplistic example.

The Basel II agreement increased the minimum % requirement for banks world wide. They have not been implemented world wide, but all bank's will eventually have to comply with this requirement or run the risk of being closed.

But, my definition of "IT IS DONE"... would mean that I am standing in line with my dinars at Chase Bank.

That being said.. it seems to me (no bashing please), that there are some truths to these rumors. I think these people get bits of peices of things and are doing their best to put it all together for us. Of course, noone can control the inner workings of Iraq, and what they do or dont get done in a given day.

Let's just say for fun, that this info is correct. The RV has "occurred".... (which we are still trying to access what that MEANS exactly)..

But, if this is the case... what would a logical person be waiting to "see" before the button gets pushed?

1. The seating of the GOI

2. Release of Chptr 7

Anything else? Would this be plausable? In my mind, I am waiting to see these 2 things occur. All signs are positive, and I believe they can happen very shortly now...

blessed4ever, what okie means by its done is that everybody has signed off on the new rate but it hasnt gone into effect yet. it is kind of like the couple of hours before walmart is open on the morning of black friday. you are standing outside the walmart looking in at all these great bargains but you cant have them because they arent open for business yet. the rate is already on some computer somewhere just waiting for the big boss to push the button.
