National Alliance Confirms Maliki’s Candidates to Provide the Security Ministries to Parliament on Thursday

MP for the National Alliance Abbas al-Bayati, on Wednesday, the National Alliance to resolve the nomination of candidates to fill the ministries of interior and national security, noting that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s security ministries will present candidates to the parliament on Thursday to vote on them.

The MP said the National Alliance Abbas al-Bayati said in an interview for “Alsumaria News”, “National Alliance, agreed during a meeting, yesterday, to nominate candidates for the ministries of interior and national security, not to mention their names.

The MP added for the rule of law in the WIN National Alliance that “Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki would present candidates of the security ministries of interior, defense and national security of the Council of Representatives on Thursday to vote on them.”

The MP for the National Alliance Mohammed Chihod predicted in an interview earlier “Alsumaria News”, on Tuesday, to give Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki names of the candidates for the defense and interior ministers on Thursday, attributing the reason for the delay in naming ministers of security to the pursuit of the principle of consensus.

A parliamentary source said in an interview with “Alsumaria News”, on Tuesday, said that “the Iraqi List, agreed to provide the tired-Obeidi, a candidate to take over as minister of defense,” noting that “al-Obeidi division commander in the former Iraqi army and is currently a professor lecturer at the University of Mosul.

A parliamentary source revealed, in an interview earlier “Alsumaria News”, the tenth of March current, the existence of differences, “many” of the negotiating team which was formed by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and the political blocs on the candidates for the ministries of security, noting that the negotiating team, which includes leaders in State law Abdul Halim Hasan al-Zuhairi and send misleading information to al-Maliki on the candidates from the security ministries because of personal differences with a number of them.

The source revealed another political pressures exerted on Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to accept the nomination of persons “not convinced by him to” security positions, including Director of the Office of the Adjutant General of the Armed Forces team Farouk al-Araji for the post of Minister of the Interior.

Now, are these going to be the same candidates mentioned in the other ministry candidates article, or a different set? If different, were screwed again, cause no consensus will exist. If same, then just a second source of the same news, which would be great. Is the National Alliance the same as the other body, or is this article saying the National Alliance agrees with the other candidates?

All the different blocs, alliances, and pseudo parties are too numerous and fluid for me to get a grip on who is who. Arrgh!
