k98nights
Iraqi Parliament votes on presidency salary reductions Saturday, March 12th 2011 3:49 PM Baghdad, March 12 (AKnews) – The assembled members of the Iraqi Parliament voted unanimously on Saturday for the draft law to reduce the salaries of the three presidencies after the third reading. MP Othman al-Juhaishi from the Iraqiya list told AKnews that the bill will now go to the financial and legal committees in order to determine the reduction rate. The Iraqi Ministers Council approved earlier this month the draft law to reduce the salaries of the three presidencies and senior government officials, which was submitted today to parliament for approval. The reduction rates ranged between 40% and 80%, with the salaries of MPs were reduced from $27,400 per month to $6,800 while the allocations of the three presidents and their deputies were reduced by 80%. The Iraqi PM currently earns $30,000 per month. A state school teacher in Iraq will take home between $500 and $800 per month depending on his/her grade and experience. Dino the Greek
If they are continuing to reduce salaries, then is it possible that they are getting them to a point that the individual will receive a normal salary after an RV? I think this is positive news for us!
