sweet C Posted February 18, 2011 Report Share Posted February 18, 2011  18/02/2011 12:20 PM BAGHDAD (AFP): Iraqi officials said Friday that the postponement of an Arab summit in March in Baghdad announced by the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya “is not an individual decision,” and that the circumstances in which taking place in the Arab world call for holding the summit in time and not postponed. He said Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said the decision to postpone the Arab summit must be issued by the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. Zebari said a comment on the decision announced by the Libyan Arab summit postponement of the normal in Baghdad, as the current President of the Summit, “No, not true, this is not an individual decision taken by one country.” He said Ali al-Dabbagh Iraqi government spokesman in a statement on Iraqi television, “The conditions in the region to require convening an Arab summit (in time) and not postponed,” stressing that “Iraq insists that the complexity of the Arab summit on 29 March and preparations are under way to receive” in Iraq .
