keylime
This was just posted at DD's site. A tidbit by Frank at xxxxxxxxx. Maliki just announced to the people of Iraq: That no one will have to pay a electric bill from this day forward!! That no one will have to pay a water bill from this day forward!! No one will have to pay a speeding ticket till further notice!! Maliki is trying to please the people and keep the peace!!! 1
Darin
I saw that on DD, but there was no link to back up that claim. It did include that there would be an update later tonight. It's like someone thought.. Hey, I got a good rumor.. We'll start out by saying this, but we'll follow it up later tonight w/ more in-depth lies. However, if this rumor was indeed true, I don't see where or how it would help us other than that the Govt found ways to maybe please the people.

IF it is true, I dont find it comforting as to an RV, Why hand out all this free stuff if you plan on a RI/RV?!?!. I hope this info is frank and his hot air pimp pumping crap. 13
tgar
Makes logic to me, if you dont have water and electric, should not have to pay. Green zone have those 24 hours a day. Wonder how the masses will take the earth shaddering news. Terry
Tropics
I think we should start protesting because I don't want to pay my water and electric bill either.
bluejay
If it's true that is great, but what is taking him so long to do ANYTHING, one thing for the poor people of Iraq, he should be ashamed of himself.... Do something already......

And just exactly what the hell is wrong with hoping the info is incorrect? I have 2 Neg check marks for my earlier post. Maybe the 2 of you should take your Dam finger off the "Shoot first asked queastions later button" Makes me wonder............. 13
jet55
Has to be more to announcement than that, surely. That would mean that the "Green Zone" does not have to pay for electricity, water etc. , since they are the ones with all that 24/7.
Tropics
Those kind of statements work fine when you are a dictator, but unfortunately when Maliki is out of office, the next prime minister may not continue the freebies. Instead of coming up with a plan that will be sustainable long term, he goes for stupid quick fixes that is going to bite him in the ass later.
JNK
Maybe Obama could learn from the Iraqi government...? Heck, they don't have to pay for electricity, water, speeding tickets, etc...I don't know...maybe we could not be forced into purchasing health insurance...? 5
NWGUY
Maybe he could add that nobody has to pay rent, or have to pay for a car, gas, insurance, food, trips to the casino, vacations....etc. Heck, he ought to tell them that they are retired now. They might believe him, and not burn down his house....lol. He seems to be running a little scared now. GO RV!!!!
Iraqi Queen
This is really ridiculous! I know for a fact that the people of Iraq DO NOT get billed for electricity or water. Speeding tickets?!! This is the biggest joke of all! Everybody has to drive at incredibly high speeds so they don't get shot at! I am not exaggerating this. The Iraqi's have not paid an electric bill or water bill since the fall of Saddam. Life as we know it is not how life in Iraq is.

TexasT
Speeding Tickets? ......It's been a few years since I was over there, so unless there has been some major changes, I highly doubt the IP's are handing out traffic citations.
