warrengz
[Adam Montana] one more time[Adam Montana] and hold! [Adam Montana] which is exactly what I advise doing with your Dinar, for some strange reason[Adam Montana] I've never given a date[Adam Montana] and I never will unless it's already done or I'm willing to lose every ounce of credibility I have on this[Adam Montana] but one thing I HAVE done is talk about what I believe Iraq will do[Adam Montana] 1. I believe they will come out low, around .10[Adam Montana] that is for a simple reason [Adam Montana] to suck money back into Iraq[Adam Montana] it's in my book, actually[Adam Montana] (I know, obvious plug lol)[Adam Montana] but I outlined it in a lot of detailo[Adam Montana] if Iraq RVs at a dime and sucks out half of the cash Dinar, they pay out X amount[Adam Montana] if they RV at a dollar, they pay X*10[Adam Montana] *10 is a HUGE number[Adam Montana] if someone says you can have a sandwich for a dollar or ten dollars, which do you take?[Adam Montana] you take the same sandwich for a dollar[Adam Montana] another thing I've said is that we can expect some subterfuge[Adam Montana] like "oh we'll never RV" or "Lett's take some zeros off"[Adam Montana] a friend of mine was just talking about another country that did that[Adam Montana] my point is... this is expected, I've warned about it for years, and it's not a big deal. I'm happy it's happened[Adam Montana] but[Adam Montana] BUT[Adam Montana] if anyone wants to sell their Dinar[Adam Montana] PM me[Adam Montana] I'm buying, plain and simple[Adam Montana] I'm done, I think Sonny1 had a couple of points. I know he's been on the phone today with some people that I wish I had access to[Adam Montana] go ahead[sonny1] ok, there are only two reasons a country lops off zeros[sonny1] one, they have more than one currency, or they have high inflation[sonny1] iraq has neither[sonny1] i think todays article was good, it shows me that iraq has a sudden sense of urgency[sonny1] we are almost there[Adam Montana] didn't you say China did something like this?[sonny1] yes china said they werent rv'ing and 48hours later boom rv[sonny1] so hang in there were close[Adam Montana] I agree. I don't see this as a bad thing at all.[sonny1] im done[Adam Montana] anyway... sorry to everyone who had chat problems today[Adam Montana] I am pretty good with investments but I suck at web design* *
tzsbwn
I don't know many people who will cash out at a dime unless they are forced to, especially if they know there is a good chance of it going much higher.

frankyb25
Adam I heard you are interested in buying dinar. I will sell my dinar at $3.50 today. If it comes out at $3.86 then you made a $0.38 profit on every dollar. Please hurry up and let me know because I do have alot of offers!! Hurry up before I raise the price!!! gideonx
It would be more plausible to RV at 0.266 to match Saudi Arabia's currency......then all this ERM talks make sense for Iraq to join GCC.....it still achieves the objective of sucking back the dinars to Iraq as suggested. RV at 0.1 may create more speculation chaos.Taking out the big notes can then happen quickly for the next stage.....
Earnest T Bass
I totally disagree on the RV at .10. That would be absurd. Why is Ali preparing to open several shops for RV? It would be a waste. No one would show up. After all, there would be nothing for the treasury and banks to make any spread out of. And at .10 the CBI would pull NOTHING in. Speculators that doubted this RV would start buying like crazy! Can we say DUMB move?!
milehigh
.10 is absurd to start at. unless you are living in a waterfilld ditch i dont think anyone would cash in for that ammount. better edit the book. ill hold for the 3.00+ range..just a dream
valu
i don't for one minute agree with $0.10. it is isn't plausible and makes no sense.
gr8cooker142
Everyone thinks if it rvs at 10 cents that's bad. You bought 1 million dinars for less then 1 thousand dollars and can sell it for 100,000 that's a hugh profit and life changing money be smart
jo-jack
What would happened if it LOP?
afghanman
Exactly, the assumption that speculators would buy up at .10 is offset by the CBI announcement that they might LOP,it makes more sense to RV at .10, suck out the money of speculators, put money in the pockets of the locals thereby assuring Malaki's re-election, and a 100x return on investment for speculators. Then do a lop. Might be better to RV at .35 (or even .035) so that a 1 or 2 zero lop puts then on target for the GCC at 3.50, still a worthwile investment. CaptainJack
A "coming out" figure of .10 IS COMPLETELY FEASIBLE .... this isn't monopoly money. We're talking about the value of a currency .... not "I want to be rich so I think it needs to be $xx.xx! If it RV's at $.10 .... cash in and make yourself a quick $40,000 or $50,000 grand .... pay off some bills and use some of your profit to buy even more dinar if you think it'll go up. Adam Montana
good comments on this chat, I'm glad to see some people using their heads.Particularly the post that explained how a $1000 investment turns into $100,000 if it RVs at a dime... you people who wouldn't take a dime must be ROLLING in money to not want a 100X return! A dollar would be great, but when I see a dime - you can bet your butt I'm cashing in at least some of my dinar. Cha-Ching!!!
ARKTX51
I don't claim to be the smartest cookie on the sheet, but with the way everything is going state side, .10 would be alot for those that have been out of work and are fixing to have a loss of there homes! Yes, i would like to see it go higher but greedyness is what has gotten everything so screwed up here state side. I have had my dinar for several years and have watched it inch up which is great! Just waitin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Duce
I totally disagree on the RV at .10. That would be absurd. Why is Ali preparing to open several shops for RV? It would be a waste. Speculators that doubted this RV would start buying like crazy! Can we say DUMB move?!I agree with both sides, so to speak. I agree about the Dinar opening at $.10 and other governments and countries buying it like crazy, because you know they will, especially if the IQD will not stop at $.10., so IMO, that is not a good Idea. On the other hand, $.10 would get a lot of people out of a bind. I bought most of my Diinar at 500 - 700/million back in '04-'05, so I would make a really good profit @ $.10. Heck, even if you paid $1200/million, it's a great profit....no mater how you look at it. I read somewhere on here today that Iraq may do a RI instead of RV. I think this is unlikely, but that is just my opinion. I do think that $1.00 - $1.50 is very feasible for Iraq.Good Luck to all of you, and remember, whatever you cash in at will be a profit.BTW: not sure why I'm concidered "Junior Member" when I was a "Member" earlier this month with more that 12 post....what gives? Earnest T Bass
Adam will find himself wishing he had edited the book with a higher figure. Whereas I would expect a pennies on the $ with currencies like the VND this one is different. Adam forgets this is already being held down artificially and should be higher as of a year + ago. This is also part of a plan and not your grandparents RV. Everyone thinks if it rvs at 10 cents that's bad. Earnest T Bass
Stop it with the LOP already! The CBI last year put that to rest themselves! You find me notes 5 figures or less that have lopped. Also look at this currency stopping at 25K. It is LOW 5 digits. I would throughly expect it on million denoms and half expect it on 100K denoms but NOT this one. Kent
Adam and Sonny1, could I respectfully ask you guys to analize the study at http://www.unc.edu/~lmosley/APSA%202005.pdf and offer your thoughts? If you don't want to post it feel free to send a PM. ...Also, the issue of Iraq debt incurred in the RV. Adam, with your 10 cent RV I agree completely and would jump on that and be grateful, but why wouldn't that create $4.3 Trillion dollars in debt for Iraq since their M2 is 43Trillion dinar? Or even if we just looked at the CBI figure for "currency in circulation outside banks" it is still $2 Trillion dollars in debt after conversion. I can't seem to find anyone who will help with those questions. BTW, the reference for the numbers is http://www.cbi.iq/xl&wr/key%20financial.xls on lines 77 and 69.I've even played with some numbers about US sales alone based on Ali's and DinarBankers statements about how much they have sold. It would add about 50% to the Iraq budget to cash us out alone. Could you guys please comment on that whole line of thinking?I would be grateful.Kent
