Baghdad, Feb.14 (AKnews) - The Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki recognized Monday that there is a shortage in the country's public services, pointing at the same time that the funds that the oil revenues that enters Iraq can’t fill this shortfall.

Maliki said during a meeting with the elders of Babel province that he called the ministers to work in field to make the minister live a part of the suffering of the citizen, who comes to the state's departments and receive bad services.

“we are too late in the process of construction, which led to delay in delivering services , stability and achieve what the citizen needs."

Maliki said in the meeting which was attended by AKnews reporter that "Iraq is living today a state of democracy as these demonstrations that come out against the bad services is the right of every citizen which are guaranteed and under the terms of the Constitution , no one has the right to prevent any one from these demonstrations."

"the government acknowledge and recognize that there is a shortage of services and shortages in the process of finalizing the structure of the state, the funds which comes from the revenues according to the Iraqi capabilities are distributed on the work facilities and they are not enough”.

"The lack of electricity and the ration card will be solved properly ."

several Iraqi cities joined the recent Arab demonstrations train, as witnessed in Baghdad, Kirkuk, Basra, Diwaniyah, Mosul, Anbar and other provinces, demonstrations of angry protesters demanding better basic services and the resignation of local officials.

The Iraqi protesters carried Yellow cards such as those used by referees at football matches in warning sign to the government.

Similar demonstrations started to protest against power cuts in Basra, last June where police opened fire on protesters and killed two people.

M is going to send his ministers out to live outside the green zone, so is he going to enjoy the same? Probably not! I don't think he really has a clue how much suffering there is out there, and how to live on the same pennies a day budget that his citizens have to survive on. Wise up Maliki!!! Go RV!!

Construction is too late? They don't have the money? The ministers will live like the commoner? This is the best he can come up with??? Is he for real? Massive unemployment and they can't yet build things... The dinar is colored toilet paper, they never mention anything about an RV, and they have no money... The ministers have millions all ready - you think they are going to live in a shack??? Does this guy do any thinking at all??? He needs to put down the pipe, sober up, and take a good, hard look. An RV would literally change their world. The oil money is a shortfall - oh brother...
