"The Parliament has voted today on eight ministers: Dakhil Qassim for the Ministry of State for Civil Society Affairs, Amer Hassan al-Khuza'e for the Ministry of National Reconciliation - both from the National Alliance, led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Malilki, Kheirullah Hassan Babakr Mohammed for the Trade Ministry, Kurdistan Abdul-Sahib for a Ministry of State, Jamal al-Battikh for a Ministry of State, Raad Shallal al-Any for the Ministry of Electricity and Ibtihal al-Zeidy for the Ministry of State for Woman Affairs, Adel Muhoudar for the Ministry of Municipalities," Ahmed told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. Regarding the candidates for the Vice-Presidents' poss, she said: "Voting would take place today (Sunday) on three candidates for the Vice-Presidents' posts, who are Adel Abdul-Mahdi, Tareq al-Hashimy and Khudhier al-Khuza'e." The Parliament had been waiting for weeks to end the selection of the Vice-Presidents and the vacant service and security cabinet posts, in order to allow the government carry out its duties in the right course and to allow the Parliament play its role in observing and following-up the activity of those ministries.
