Popular Post shadowm35
Fellow Dinar holders, I thought I would share with you a story of last evening, one in which seemed right for the season. I also understand if the Mods wish to move this to another area as well. I started in this investment almost 18 months ago through my mother-in-law. Like most, I have read many post, watched countless predictions fall short and read posts in which I felt someone had nothing better to do from their parents basement, but make a prediction based on nothing. Like most, I have ridden the highs and lows of this rollercoaster for my 18 months, though I will say that I do not allow myself to ride those waves any loner, thus not allowing myself to be disappointed time and time again. I have my own take on this investment and where it may lead. Though this is not the opinion of the truly hopeful, it is an investment that I believe will turn a profit, and we are all entitled to our opinions. As I started in this investment, I gradually involved my children and a few close friends. What my family (my wife, me and our children that are in their early to late twenties) does is get together once a month, throw money into a pot, so to speak, and purchase more dinar with what we have. It does not matter what one puts in, it only matters that he or she contributes. The dinar, once it has arrived, is equally split among the participating family members. Now, perhaps this does not seem fair to some, but for my family it works well. Though me and my wife are the largest contributors, as we are in a better financial place then our children, our children were taught that to get, you have to give, even though it may not be proportionately in either direction. Last night was our night to once again purchase more dinar with our pot of money and build a little bit more on each of our investments. However, a funny thing happened, one that made more sense than this investment to date. As we figured out how much more we could purchase, my son asked if we had to buy dinar this month, or, if we could do something else, I asked him to explain. He said that this invest may be nothing more than burning money. While there is a chance we may make our money back and then some, there is no guarantee what so ever. His suggestion for this month was to donate the money to a local charity. He mentioned, while this investment may come to fruition and then we can do plenty for our community then, we are waiting nonetheless, waiting to do something good in return for something good happening to us. Whereas right now, though it may not be much, in reality, we can make a real difference now. There are times in a parent's life when they simply know they must have done something right in how they raised their children. This is not to say we have not had our ups and downs, or our share of arguments, but I was a very proud father last night. With the suggestion on the table, it was unanimously decided, without hesitation, that we would donate this month's money to our local soup kitchen. So my fellow dinar holders, if you are considering building on your dinar investment over the next couple of weeks, or any time really, with hopes of being able to help a local charity if and when this does happen, consider, for one time, the very suggestion of my son and make a difference today. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a hopefully prosperous New Year. Blessing and Peace, J 29

Upgradable
This was a wonderful story!! You have amazing children! Last night, me and mine, spent the evening serving a hot meal at Skyline Urban Ministeries, a church and center for homeless people in Oklahoma City. We do this every year on the Saturday before Christmas, and I've never had another experience that better shows me the true spirit of Christmas. May God bless all of you during this holy season. 4
SaRSam
This is exactly my goal with this investment. My wife, and I had our first on 7/1/2010. We want him through the years to take this as a gift, and in return learn how to give this same gift to others in need. Great post, and its families like yours that deserve this. sneakey
I heard something on the radio yesterday about someone trying to collect 1000 blankets for our cities 1500 homeless people. Many of them VETS. I was considering joining that cause. This just pushed me over the edge. You can tell your son that there are a bunch of homeless vets that owe thier warmth to him.
jbbdolphins
Thank you for your post...it is most meaningful especially this time of year, but please allow me to add something. Since I have been a member of DV, I have had the opportunity to get to know some of the members through their posts. I have become humbled with the sensitivity and care some of these members have for others. Their hearts filled with compassion give what they can everyday and with the RV, plan to give on a larger scale. Such generosity will not go unnoticed. Then, we have some members who have lost everything from their jobs, homes, and even families, due to unforeseen reasons. These people live on a day to day basis for their existence. No matter how small or how large the investment into the dinar, it will impact someones life significantly. Monies from the RV will be used to give to charity, make retirement more comfortable, help families restore stability, among other things. I have learned so much from the members of this site, to me it is not just about the dinar, it is about making me a better person. Please don't bash, this was just an addition to an already wonderful post.

Captjohn
I think the idea of pooling together your money to buy dinar each month is a wonderful idea and yet another way to draw the family together in a shared way. Good for you. Better yet, to witness that the values you give your children are reflected back in a way that makes parenting worth every moment. Blessings to you and your family this Christmas season........and, I hope you all make lots of dollars after RV.
