Don Paul
quoted from another site i cannot mention "...My post is in reference to the banks that continually are discussed as either “sources” for information, or as potential “cash-in” options post-RV. Let me explain… First off, it does no one any good to call banks at this point. Iraq is a country that is under sanctions (Chapter 7) with the United Nations and the world. As such, their currency is NOT internationally recognized. Because of this, MOST (almost all at this point) banks do NOT deal in the Iraqi Dinar (buying or selling). Some still do, but those that do are diminishing in number. You will not get any information out of them by calling and trying to see for yourself if they are now, or will in the future, deal in the Iraqi Dinar. With that said, you should know that ANY major financial institution that deals internationally will absolutely one day carry the Iraqi currency. Why? Because when Iraq has its sanctions lifted, and is once again included and welcomed onto the world’s stage as a legitimate country, their currency will be accepted once again. Until that happens, don’t count on it. It’s that easy. Most international banks WILL work with the major currencies of the world. That’s a given. You do NOT need to call one and verify that. It’s a common known fact. As such, when your investment, even the Iraqi Dinar, matures and the government that backs that currency is in tact, you will see things change. Until then, you are simply wasting your time and the time of those who answer the phones at the banks to inquire otherwise...."

Dalevoss
Most banks will not touch it at all but when it RV's they are going to hold the door open for you and give you a lolly pop. I'm going with Ali.. for the millions that I'm going to deposit i am certainly hoping for more than an open door and a lollipop
cbs71
Silly or not...it still wouldn't hurt to ask your bank or another one at that.. For instance, here in Richmond, I have received more good information from a BB&T branch than from any other bank here. And I am talking about the bigger banks too. Yes, one of my orders was from BB&T and she told me how much it would cost to do business with them when this RV's. And "YES" this was confirmed with a lady who works in their "foreign currency dept". So, if you get a silly answer or remark, so what. Just hang up and move on. vern
I live in Canada - I deal with the Toronto Dominion Bank. I was in the bank and talked about the Dinar- Yup i did so---lol-- so they look at me like i just step out of a time warp/ the onion field/ the boogy worlsd --- well ya,,l l get the idea. So when i was done bussiness i said to the teller- Your superiors are wrong and you just got married. Take a couple of 100 ,s and buy this stuff. She looked at me then her boss and said no. Well i tried.. She asked me if i had somer and i tole her yes. Her boss- said i waqs wrong and i said if i am wrong why are you sending an order over the wire for me. She said we,ll do what you want so i said ok--- get me a car and i want a new one and a good meal at the club i am about to join. The teller smirked and thot her boss didnt see her. So the next day i call and ask for the DONG-- they think i am still nuts, They dont handle it - I finally found someone to do it but i asked them if they wanted my bussiness to go elsewhere. NOPE they said. So i told them where i was going and they wished me luck.. Dam it,s like talking to the GOOBERMENT. I laugh at this stuff. I fyour a day late and a dollar short and you tell them your changing banks - boy do they go nuts. Well i can sleep well. When my bank finds out what has happened on the RV you can bet your bippy they will beat a path to your door. I got told off in a bank once - when the MGR said why dont you borrow the money you want and we will keep yours for collateral. I said your crazy and i told him how the banks steal from you with FRACTIONAL BANKING, that was when i didnt know the name of it but i knew we were getting screwed. So i havent had much luck with the banks. Until i got ahead and they found out about it. I WOULDNT STOP FOR A BANK MGR IF HE SLID OFF IN A DITCH IN THE WINTER------- KEEP ALL THAT MONEY SO YOU CAN KEEP WARM--- wont help you here lol----- When they say they dont know YOU CAN REST ASSURE THEY KNOW- there is a way you can tell your banking mgr is alive--- wave a dollar bill under his/her nose. We saw one come back from the dead at the funeral that was for him-- Someone jingled a couple of pennies and a nickel in his pocket and he bolted straight up with his hand out -- Really ------ I swear to you it happened - i would swear on a stack of memos and loans that it happened--lolol----Vern ------DONT GIVE UP-----

Triple xXx
Has the Dinar been listed as a world currency yet with the IMF or WTO?
jsb
Why do you people keep calling the banks. Just wait this out. The more you call, the more anxiety you cause yourself. The banks know nothing, and if they do, they are not going to tell. Give us a break. STOP CALLING!
terrigray
[ She also said that there is a pool of fake dinar going around as well. I asked her if the dinar RV then will they take it. Isn't this one of the most secure currency from conterfeiting? This is like a statement that someone throws out there without any evidence and it becomes fact. icutiewatcher
A few weeks ago, I actually called several banks about this... The vast majority gave me the canned answer about not dealing in the IQD, but in each case I asked about the foreign currency department.... The Wells Fargo Foreign Currency specialist that I finally was able to speak to, was a teller with many years experience in trading/exchanging foreign currency for WF. He said that he was aware of it, and that if it became internationally traded, that WF would absolutely accept it. Additionally, this particular branch has a currency authentication machine. I asked him about getting the plates for the IQD once there was an RV and he said it would take a few days... So... if they have the currency authentication machine with the right plates, I wait not at all... I go in, I get it authenticated and I see it change my financial life very quickly. Additionally, IF the banks are getting some heads up on this as many have said, they already have the plates for the authentication machine. The De La Rue is not the only machine that can authenticate the IQD...

HarleyOnTheRoad
Just got off the phone with a currency exchange banker with Wells Fargo bank. I was told by the banker that Wells Fargo will not sell or buy the Dinar. She went as far to say that Iraq is a closed country so no Dinar is suppose to come in or out. She also said that there is a pool of fake dinar going around as well. I asked her if the dinar RV then will they take it. She said MAYBE, the word has to come from the federal gov before they would take it. She was really interest as to how I got mine for some odd reason. Hope this helps. No offense to your banker ... but I have told my WF Foreign Exchange Manager about everything and shown them a copy of my Certificate from D.Trade, and they had no problem taking it as a regular cash deposit once it RV's and ZERO cost. Now, it could be she is unaware like majority of bankers as it has not been flowed down to them. Work with a a foreign exchange manager. ! Hope this helps...
her
I bank with Wachovia/WellsFargo and if this is true that they will not handle the dinar because they don't want to, I will move my accounts. Now it will be another story if BOA is the only bank handling the dinar like I have read, but have to wait and see what unfolds. Thanks

FineInCo
We opened an account last month with Wells Fargo - in the branch that handles foreign currency. A VP worked with us and when we brought up the dinars, she said that she new about the RV. They were told that it was definitely going to happen, they just didn't know when. She couldn't answer any questions about whether they would have a delarue machine, etc., but said that when it RV'd they would get instructions. We told her we would be cashing in at that branch and she did not tell us that we would not be able to.
Shadowhawk
A friend of mine works for Wells Fargo. He tells me that without a doubt, WF will be one of the major banks that will be dealing with IQD. They are waiting for the RV to happen before they do, and they have been setting up in preparation for the influx of people exchanging their IQD. He told me that what they are looking at doing, and have already started is procuring De La Rue machines for their branch offices. He said they would not be at all locations, only the higher volume branches and in most major metropolitan areas. He didn't know what specific locations would be used, just that it had been communicated that they are preparing. He also mentioned that Wells Fargo is currently in process of establishing locations within Iraq. He said they may be opening requisitions for job openings there soon. Anyway, this is what I was told, so please don't bash me for it. He is my best friend and I trust him with my life, many times over. GO RV!!!
