Iraq has 30 Cabinet and Ministry positions to fill after the PM, POR and POP. Do not let this throw you, they have 30 days to fill these positions. The GOI 3 main positions are sealed. You do not need the other 30 filled before the trigger can be pulled on th RV.

Thanks Nick! I was thinking the same thing. Even if they did wait until all 30 positions are filled, they are under a compressed timeline to expedite the process.

No matter how you look at it, the avalanche has started and there's no stopping it now!!!

A spokesman for the Sadrists said they have demanded key government posts, including deputy parliamentary speaker and as many as six of the 34 cabinet-level ministry positions to be filled. They are insisting on a post linked to security operations and have raised the possibility of holding the trade ministry. Another party official said the Sadrists would seek the prime minister post after the withdrawal of the remaining 50,000 US troops.

Last month we were talking about what times the RV would most likely be announced and the majority answer was after their close of business (bank closed as to not create problems with rate changing mid-day, etc)

Is that still the thought process for time of RV??

8pm - 11pm Iraqi time which is 12pm - 3pm CST

Correct. Rate changes cannot be made during the course of the business day. They are announced at the close of business and open the next day. This is why the news will travel "East to West" as has been mentioned in this forum. Australia should be the first one to act on it although Forex will show an immediate change.

my question is , do the 3 main politicians need to be sworn in before the rv can happen?

Not certain if they are "sworn in". They are already choosing lower cabinet posts so it must be that they are in the position before they can move onto choosing posts. I could not imagine the US president naming cabinet posts prior to winning the election.

Just last Sunday Central time FELL BACK AN HOUR.

So Iraq time is 9 hours ahead.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

11:00 am - 2 pm CST

1 - hour earlier !!!!!!!!

We have to remember this is Iraq and anything can happen.....I have always thought the CBI could pull the trigger when they wanted but they were waiting for the government to form....also overlooked IMO the UN will have to lift chap 7 that means paying off the rest of the debt to Kuwait...it is only about half paid and that was verified during that segment on Cspan about a week ago...but all in all we are better in shape than ever before... there are still some things that have to be wrapped up..so don't quit your job just yet...
