Thank you Chief for a wonderful story. This is the kind of man I know that he is and I have never met him. A good man, a humble man who stepped up to the plate and strong when America need him to be. Regardless of what other have said in his last years office he will be remembered in American History as a Hero and an important President. Why? Because we remember and so does your friend!

Thank you and God Bless You!

God Bless America

Time will definitely show what kind of President he was to those who doubt. I don't need time, I believe I already know just like the author.

P.S. I was in a position close to Clinton one day because of my job and he asked me, "How about you officer, would you like a photo opportunity?" I said, "No thank you Sir". Great Day!

Great Post!

I served under President Reagan and both George Bush Sr. and Jr. ...as well as the "others". When I retired from active duty I made sure George W's signature was on my retirement certificate. I believe history will show that he was truely a great President. Can't wait until our Current Pres is replaced...can't come soon enough! Please vote...God Bless, and RV Soon!

Thanks Chief!

I too am a huge fan of W.

Wow does this country need him now!

But because of the internet, I am constantly leary of articles such as this. Wanting them to be true, but typically finding someone has "doctored" or "altered" the story.

So for those of you who are wondering, it is confirmed by Snopes that the author was indeed at the White House for an award ceremony and further confirmed by Truth-or-Fiction that the author validated the internet story as his own words.

Miss you GWB................

Everybody get out and VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE (unless you are a socialist pig, you can stay home)

Thanks for the post! Wonderful story. When President Bush left the white house he stopped here in Midland,Texas to give a speech. It was awesome, and such an honor. It was an event I was proud to share with my daughter. Our City is really proud to hold the title of his childhood home town.

Very nice! My mom went to high school with Bruce Vincent and knows him well! This story is such an inspiration in the little town of Libby, MT! George W. Bush is a very honorable man! I don't agree with everything that he did but he is a man of integrity! That is what we need as a president! Lets go RV not just for us but for our country as well!

So this makes Bush a great President?

No he was a good president for the things he did while in office.

Personally the economy took a turn down in 2007 because of the change of watch in congress.

When the dems took over.... the country went to crap. The housing market crash was caused by Freddie and Fannie.

The problems there were created in the Clinton era, and when things started to look bad....Bush tried to curb Freddie and Fannie.... but Barney Franks and the Dems wouldnt hear of it. That is where the crash started.

Personally I think Bush was a good president.... I also think that Obama is making BUSH an excetional president.

Sometimes you dont know how good someone is till you see how BAD the next person is.

So this makes Bush a great President?

No! It's not himself that made him a great president, it was GOD!

<< Galatians 6 >>

King James Version

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5For every man shall bear his own burden.

Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. 7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith

We need a lot more people like you in ths country. Let's pray that the midterm election will awaken and invigorate us all.

Of course: Chief, thanks for posting; very moving for me, especially since it is true and not some BS story from Oprah.

GWB was the most maligned US President in history. All you liberal morons: Think of that the next time you click on the TV to watch one of the empty skirts on the Communist News Network (CNN).
